Likes

The campus is beautiful. It's surrounded by the nature,which I love the most.
Faculties are understanding. They guide us well.
This time microsoft has also hired interns from our college.

Dislikes

Drainage system is very poor. You can't walk after rain.
Library is very small as compared to number of students.
Clubs and societies are not that much here.

Course Curriculum Overview

Actually I always wanted to learn new things and wanted to that how these computers, Mobile phones are working when we click on them, this inspired me a lot to learn and create something new in the field of technology.that's I choose this course.

Class Size: 4Course Fees: INR 77000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I used to pay total of 77000 per year, which includes my semester registration fees(18500) and hostel fee(20000). Since I am ews student so I don't have to pay the tuition fees. So sc, st, ews, obc, candidates don't need to pay tuition fee. They got waiver

Campus Life

College life is literally good, I am enjoying it. There are so many fests the biggest cultural fest is rang-e- chinar. And the technical fest used to held evry year is ' Techvaganza'. Festivals are also celebrated here .

Admission

I wanted to go to Nit with my intrest in computer science, so campus is very beautiful, surrounded by Nature which impacted me a lot since I am a nature lover. Placements are also good here, almost 100 percent placement is here. Education is good.

Faculty

Every sem there are around 6 to 7 theory subjects and 2 to 4 lab courses. Faculties are good and cooperative.the level of exam depends on the teacher and course, usually it's medium to high level of exams.

Night Life

Cafeteria is Opened in the morning at 9 am till 10 pm. Library opening time is from 9 am to 12pm for both girls and boys. Campus In time for girls is 7 pm in winters and hostel in time is 8:30 pm . No hostel in time for boys. Famous hangout places like, gulmarg, sonamarg, pahalgam, dal gate, doodh pathri etc.

My NIT SRINAGAR

Placement Experience:

From the starting of 4th year ,we are eligible to sit in the placement and the ratio is almost 65-70 percent percentage head and for it and cse - increff, microsoft ,make my trip ,paypal ,and visa and for civil - L&T and many sales company

My point of view on NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

Placement Experience:

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

I got this college on the basis of my jee mains rank through csab counselling. Due to some medical issue i was not able to study properly and got little less score.
