IIM Ranchi Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I did a lot of research among all the colleges that I was shortlisted for and IIM Ranchi is the best among the new IIMs with respect to placements, ROI, graduation outcome and alumni base. Having a dedicated flagship HR program that is one of the best in the country also ensures that the alumni is spread far and wide in the corporate world. The placements have had a strong upward trend and with the college completing 10 years of establishment this year, new doors are also going to open up. A seemingly apparent downside is that the college doesn't have a permanent campus at this point but after talking to seniors and understanding how the college is able to get around that disadvantage allayed my concerns. The college is able to more than compensate for the lack of a consolidated campus by ensuring that all the facilities are still provided and having an amazing hostel that provides single occupancy rooms in first year as well and access to a national sports complex. The culture of IIM Ranchi is moreover one of the best among all the B schools meaning that the alumni base is not just strong on paper but is also approachable.

IIM Ranchi is one of the top B-Schools in the country. I received admission offers from multiple IIMs and other well reputed private colleges as well. IIM Ranchi is one of the Top 20 B-Schools in the country. Despite the lack of a permanent campus, the Institute is functioning par excellence. The academic rigour, teaching pedagogy, industry exposure, countless Clubs and Committees are just a few of the driving factors behind choosing this college. On the placement front, the college is ahead of many similar B-schools in the same league.

I chose this institute for it provides you with tremendous opportunities that help you grow both professionally and personally. The faculty is among the top faculty in the country and their method of teaching makes you grasp the concepts with ease. The institute follows a case study approach to studies which focuses more on learning than mugging up.

I wanted to pursue IPM and it was available in IIM Rohtak. It is one of the prestigious colleges in management. This was the top college in my wish list. By the grace of God, I made to this college successfully.

As mentioned in multiple surveys and reports IIM Ranchi is one of the best in comparison to peer IIMs in terms of faculties, course offered, placements, ROI, as well the students have been performing really well in corporate competitions like HUL Lime, Flipkart Wired, etc. The HR programme offered here is the flagship course of IIM Ranchi and is considered among the top 5 courses in HR in India. All of this encouraged me to join IIM Ranchi

The brand name was the major reason. IIM R has grown the fastest in a short span of 10 years. The faculty and the specialization in the stream of human resources was something I found very interesting.

Reputation of the college was good and I was looking out for a different stream coming from a finance background plus living out of town really excited me as I could learn a lot both personally and professionally.
