IIM Ranchi is one of the top B-Schools in the country. I received admission offers from multiple IIMs and other well reputed private colleges as well. However I decided to stick with IIM Ranchi due to the following factors: Fees Batch Strength and Diversity Flexibility of Domains Possible sectors and companies to work in Establishment Alumni Base Academic Alliances with companies and universities Cultural Events and Competitions Summer Internships Placements(avg/median/highest) Specializations offered Curriculum(Number of electives in 2nd year) Faculty: Full-time/Visiting/Adjunct College Brand Name Work-experience Value Rankings of the college as per different websites The list is non-exhaustive but IIM Ranchi stood out in all the above factors for me and I hope it stands out to you too.

The course curriculum is well designed and thought through. The number of electives in each specialization offered is more than many of the IIMs. The academics are being taken very seriously and are extremely rigorous. Our faculties promote experiential and case-based learning and enable us to understand the nuances of each subject. As being beautifully penned by Sir John Dewey that "Education is not the preparation for life, it is life in itself" IIM Ranchi lives it in its true sense. There are field visits, industrial visits, and a plethora of opportunities you get as being a part of IIM Ranchi.

As of now, Summer Internship Process is yet to start but since it is just 15 days into the college I would say rest assured you will get a plethora of opportunities at IIM Ranchi when it comes to summer internships. Every year IIM Ranchi students are on the top of the recruiters' list and 100% placements are our benchmark year on year. We have started strongly and since inception to till today we have an extremely close-knitted community of our Alumni who not only guide students during their summer internships and placements but also bring in companies from their network as well as their own organization. There is a separately Alumni International Relations committee that continues to work towards student exchange as well as keeping the alumni connected to the institution. Our placements department burn the midnight oil to bring all the opportunities for students. All the companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, ONGC, JP Morgan, GAIL, Samsung, Capgemini, Bosch, L&T, JP Morgan Chase, HSBC, Thomson Reuters, Accenture, and many others are our prominent associations. Our college encourages startups and some of our alumni have gone on to start their own ventures after college. A key role player and supporter in these startups are college entrepreneurship cell and IIC which provides a space for budding entrepreneurs to be guided by some of the best experts in the country.

Though the campus life is yet to start in this pandemic we haven't lost any experience as our seniors left no stone unturned to create a similar or even better experience for us as they had.' Our fests Agon and Rush are the biggest highlights as B-Schools from across the country to participate in different competitions in these fests. It receives one of the highest footfalls and the experience is something to just experience and can't be explained in words. Banks line up to give you loans once you are selected. Loan facilities are available at Union Bank, PNB, SBI, CBI, and many other private banks as well.

There has been a lot of discussion of IIM Ranchi's infrastructure and its campus. Well, we are likely to shift to our new campus by early next year and one of the biggest myths is we lose out on campus life but take my word you would find the facilities at par or even better than almost all the IIMs in the country. Primary reason being our Khelgaon hostels are extremely well furnished with all the needs that students and have and have access to some of the best sports facilities. With respect to the internet, not even a single time you will face any issue and our libraries are world-class. Even in this pandemic, we have received all our books on time and our library administration is extremely pro-active in making sure that all students have received their access to books.

It's nothing short of your well-desired imagination Some of the things that are provided at the hostel: Cot, Mattress, Pillow, Table, Chair, 1 large Cupboard, Mirror, Wall Hangers, Bucket & Mug, Doormat, Curtains, Well stocked canteen open at all waking hours, All rooms are fully furnished, Water Purifiers and coolers are placed on every alternate floor for drinking water, 24/7 access to the internet at their hostel rooms and college campus, functional lifts, we have generator facility too, so no electricity issues the bathrooms are fitted with water-heating systems so hot water is available 24 hours a day, Laundry Facilities both of Laundryman and fully-automatic washing machines installed on multiple floors for our usage. Also, ALL rooms at IIM-Ranchi hostels are cleaned (dusting, sweeping, mopping) every day by the cleaning staff. The bathrooms are cleaned every day, too. Now I hope you agree with me that it is nothing short of your home away from home.
