IIM Ranchi is the first among the prestigious IIM fraternity to provide a Post Graduate Program in Human Resource Management. It is the fastest growing IIM among the second generation IIMs. The flagship PGP-HRM offered by IIM Ranchi is one the top HR programs in the country. IIM Ranchi is an institution which works on the principles of Humility, Honesty and Hard-work which totally corresponds with my set of values, hence I chose IIM Ranchi.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is extensive, thorough and designed to make us into efficacious people specialists. Even when the classes have moved to virtual mode due to coronavirus, the intensity hasn't lowered any bit. Various quizzes, class participation methods and timely circulation of study material has made learning fun. The focus is to not only specialise in HR but to understand business well enough.
Placement Experience
The companies visiting the campus for placements include Flipkart, IBM, Infosys, Maruti Suzuki, Sony Pictures Network, ICICI Bank etc.
College Events
The programs being fully residential, it is ensured that no student feels homesick during festivities and hence all the festivals are taken care of by the Cultural Committee. Also to keep us all engaged countless extra curricular activities are conducted by student bodies of the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have applied for educational loan with the Indian Bank. They have agreed to remit the entire amount.
Campus Life
The college currently runs in 5th Floor of Suchana Bhawan Meur’s Road Audrey House Campus located centrally in Ranchi, and hence every thing can be availed within a radius of 3 kilometres. The academic block has six aesthetic classrooms equipped with all the required modern facilities like computers, projectors, modern sound systems, OHPs, audio-visual tools and Wi-Fi internet connectivity. The college is soon to shift in its own 90+ acre campus in 2021.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel of IIM Ranchi is located in Khelgaon, National Sports Housing Complex, the venue for the 2011 National Games held in Ranchi. The hostels are actually two bedroom flats, each room having single occupancy, most of them with attached washrooms and balcony affording ineffable view of the lush green campus. Students can access all the sporting facilities at Khelgaon. The hostel campus also has 24*7 Wi-Fi connectivity.
