IIM Ranchi Ph.D Executive : Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Ans. IIM Ranchi offers Executive PhD, Executive MBA (EMBA), Executive Programme in Business Analytics & Business Intelligence (EPBABI). The institute also offers 2 Executive Certificate Programs, Certificate Program in General Management (CPGM) and Certificate Program in Business Analytics & Business Intelligence (CPBABI).

Ans. Candidates fulfilling the Eligibility Criteria for Executive PhD are required to take Entrance Examination like CAT or GATE or GRE or GMAT or NET-JRF. Valid Score in these tests will determine the Candidates Selection for the Program.

Ans. Candidates who are applying with GATE 2025 Score should apply only after getting the Score Card.

Ans. Minimum of 5 Years of Work Experience by 31st March of the Target Year of Education is Mandatory for Admission to Executive PhD at IIM Ranchi.

Ans. Coursework in Executive PhD in IIM Ranchi will have 6 terms of 9 Days duration, the details are as follows:

• 5 Terms will be Compulsory Research-Focused terms.
• 6th Term may be Optional Teaching-Focused term.
• Term 1-4 will have 2 Full-credit Doctoral Courses each. 2 Compulsory courses in each of the first two terms.
• Compulsory Courses to be covered in Term 1 & Term 2 are, Philosophy of Social Science Research, Research Design, Quantitative Research Methods, Qualitative Research Methods.
• Term 3 will have two area Depth Courses.
• 4th Term will have one area Depth course and one Breadth course (a Full-credit Doctoral course from a Relevant other area).
• Term 5 & 6 will be Workshops.

Ans. Candidates are shortlisted based on their Valid Scores in CAT or GATE or GRE or GMAT or NET-JRF (UGC/CSIR). Shortlisted candidates are further called for Personal Interview for Final Selection.

Ans. Following Categories of Candidates are Exempted from Standard Tests:

• Alumni of PGP Programs of IIMs or accredited institutions (AACSB/AMBA/EQUIS) with a CGPA 6.5 out of 10 or equivalent.
• Government Employees with at least 10 Years of Administrative Experience (Central / State Civil Services / Public Sector Banks / PSUs etc.)
• Corporate Executives / Consultants / NGO Professionals with at least 10 Years of Managerial Experience.
• Management Teachers with last Qualification from a Reputed Institution and Minimum 3 Years of Post-Graduate Level Teaching Experience.
