SVIST MBA Dept Review

Likes

Stats and economics faculty is up to the mark.
It has a good canteen available with various options available at reasonable prices
Placement opportunities for Marketing & HR majors are somewhat good

Dislikes

Placement department can be a bit negligent towards students facing problems in their college provided internship

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from 3rd semester itself. Lowest packages can be of 3.5 lpa as and go as high as 8-9lpa as heard from seniors and facilities. Plans after getting the degree are to try getting a job in business analytics job in an good organization on my own, if not from college.

Likes

Canteen food with not that bad quality even it is so affordable that you should eat your lunch in canteen.
Some faculty behaviour is very good towards all students

Dislikes

College campus is too small even it doesn’t have a comfortable place to sit and talk
At first college will promise u to conduct many upgrad courses but after u enroll in the course they will forget about it
College only approve west bengal government offered scholarships but not central government nsp scholarships

Placement Experience:

They conduct placement drive in college from 3 rd sem mostly get placed during this time. College offers internship but all are nonpaid so students don't get any motivation to do so. All are sales job

Likes

The Campus is well maintained with modern amenities providing a conducive environment for learning
Professor are highly knowledgeable and approachable making the learning experience enriching
The library has an extensive collection of books and resources which is very helpful for research and studies

Dislikes

The WiFi connectivity in campus is often unreliable which hampers online research and assignment
The cafeteria menu lacks variety and the food quantity could be improved
Classroom facilities are outdated and need modern equipment to enhance the learning experience

The college curriculum is highly comprehensive and prevalent in the field it's covered a wide range of subject ensuring that student gain a well rounded education the course are up to date with the latest industry trends and Technology advanta advancement preparing student effectively for their future career

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to review for the college.

Likes

The facilities provide by the college is very good for all the student.
The social interaction was always done within the faculties.
Here all the teacher are very supportive and helpful for the students.

Dislikes

Mainly tour facilities are not available.
There are so many problem of language and culture
The quality of food was not good at the hostel.

Placement Experience:

From the semester 6 for betch students and semester 3rd for the MBA students become eligible for campus placement. There are so many companies visited in college and the highest package of the college is 27 lakh jaspay and the lowest package is 4 lakh.

College and Teaching Ambiance, Teach and stuffs both are very helpful and cooperative

Dislikes

I didn't like ta canteen food, As it was overpriced

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd sem of [ursuin g MBA student become eligible for campus placements Imapct Guru, Teleperformance, Arcos, ETC Highest packadge offeres was 480000 including Incentives but it was outside Kolkata 70 % - 80% student get placement I got placement while pursuing MBA, so my plan is to continue and grow

I like everything there faculty members behaviour their education system

Dislikes

Nothing to decline in IEM all things is up to the mark

Course Curriculum Overview:

Yes there is specific aspects of the circulum also happen day to day interaction with their mentors gives us appropriate idea which field we want to choose or which field is appropriate for this thing is very helpful for us

Assesment Guidance was given at a proper way where we were able to make or deliver our projects successfully.
Sports and other events were a good part of extra curricular.
Inter College fest was a great experience.

Dislikes

The late response of the college in regards to some examination concerns.
Everything in this college works good but leaving the admission cell which is in the 1st floor of the main campus.
The admission department is not that advanced wherein they start treating the new students coming for querry very carelessly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course curriculum a 7 on 10 as the course was general but it should be or some specialization. rest, all other teaching methods and timings of exams were perfect we enjoyed studying there.

Likes

I liked the overall environment. Specially the greenery all around the college campus
Library is good. There are many books available fory course which helped me a lot.
Also there are many extra curricular activities that happens every time

Dislikes

The bathroom is not cleaned. Smells a lot
Canteen Food taste is detoriating day by day
Classroom desk is in very bad condition. Could sit properly due to improper bench

Placement Experience:

From 3rd semester students are eligible for placement facilities. Companies like Asian paints, super smelters, Amazon, Deloitte visited. I don't have much plans after MBA bt ofcourse I need placement I need a job

Amazing staff, mentorship and study atmosphere
Great learning oppurtunities via student exchange and industrial visits
too many placement oppurtunities with avg package of 7 LPA

Dislikes

BATCH SIZE TOO SMALL WHICH CAN BE INCREASED FOR BETTER OPPURTUNITIES
more training sessions can be included in training sessions as these are low
there is no minimum CAT or any other score criteria

Placement Experience:

Placement is too good as per the standard of the college. They provide 100% placement oppurtunities with the average package of 7 LPA. All the big companies visit for the placement drives. highest pacakge can go upto 12 LPA

College canteen is not good and also hostal meal is poor
Water facility is poor is not available in every departmentartments
Shortage of books in library many of books is not available

Well I aspects more my Acpectation in this college. I am choosing this carrier because I m interested in business. This college give me more knowledge over my Acpectation. I am suggesting the areas is like improvements cms building classroom fan are not available for teachers in there class rooms

One of the worst university in the whole world I have one backlog in Mathematics from my first semester, and even after attempting the exam multiple times over three years, I have not been able to clear it. This has delayed my degree and caused me to lose an entire year. The system feels unsupportive, as students pay fees but do not receive enough help to clear even a single subject. Due to this issue, I am unable to move forward with my plans for MBA.
