IIT Kharagpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

At the start of the third year, the internship process starts and at the start of the 4th year, the placement process starts. a lot of companies visit the college Intel, TI, Samsung, Microsoft, nutanix, Walmart, JLR. most of the students are placed. Yes, I wish to pursue higher studies.

For B.Tech. (4 years) students, the campus internships are being done before the commencement of the academic third year. The same for M.tech (5 years) students is done before the commencement of their fourth academic year. I am not aware of the rest questions. I don't have plans right now for my future.

IIT Kharagpur is a prestigious institute for both engineering as well as management studies. The reason to join was the course affordability with a very nominal fee structure. So, ROI is quite good. College accepts CAT or GMAT scores, WAT and PI for admission .

The placement percentage is almost more than 90% and the top companies that visit campus are Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart, Adobe, Fortune 500 and different companies from different sectors and profiles. The highest package is in crores which are international packages. Average package of college is around 15 LPA. Students from different department get placed in top MNCs so its an open opportunity for all. From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Around 70% students get internships in top and most prestigious companies. I'm a competitive programmer and full stack web developer. I'm looking forward to join top companies and I want to grab a good and decent placement. I'm also passionate about research projects and foreign training. I'm also thinking of doing MS in top universities of world.

IIT KGP has more than 90% of its bachelor's and master's placements, the students have their placement exams happening during the period of September to February. The final-year students are allowed to appear for the placement exams. There are over 200 companies that participate in the annual placement which include day-old recognized organizations and start-ups too. The placements have various designations like support engineers and executives, junior engineers, software engineers, android app developers, web developers, etc. Students have been also offered international jobs from countries like Taiwan, the USA, Germany, Japan, and Singapore. Companies like Microsoft, Taiwan semiconductors, uber, amazon are some of the top tier companies which offer jobs to students.

The only factor that made me choose this college was that it is in the top 5 engineering colleges in India. Good aspects are that someone gets a lot of opportunities and exposure at an early age. Also, the alumni network of this or in fact any old college is really good. People here are top class people which helps you to always be in a healthy competitive mindset which helps for your growth. However, many times the competition becomes toxic. Also the administration is really poor class.

I I don't think I had to do any research for MBA institutes as IIT Kharagpur was the place I did my graduation and that was the perfect place for me to do my MBA also. The college was 5th in 2020 and 6th in 2019 for MBA programme rankings of the NIRF group. The technical courses here are also recognised on global levels. Admissions for MBA programmes at IIT-K are based entirely on the overall performance one does in the process of selections

Placements students are eligible from sem 7 for four year degree student and sem9 for dual degree student. Around 250 companies visited and around 1200-1400 offers made. highest package is 80 lakh lpa

Doing any programme from the IIT group is a great addition to that profile and to do B.Arch from IT Kharagpur was all that's required to get a successful career in the field. IIT Kharagpur is among the best institutions under the famous group as per 2020 NIRF rankings . The best part was that it was situated in my home-state also. To become eligible for admissions to this institute in B.Arch candidates must hold a good academic profile and seat allocation is based on AAT exam score of applicants.

My college has the best placements. Almost all the students from 4th and 5th year get placed in famous companies such as TATA , Google, Microsoft etc. And they offer high salary placements . Almost 90% to 95 % of students get placed during firat 5 days of placements.
