SRM University Ghaziabad: Admission 2026, Fees, Courses, Cutoff, Ranking, Placement

Since I personally am not well acquainted with the prospects of LNCT Bhopal, it is best to restrict the elaboration to only SRM Delhi for offering the best insight. 

Advantages

• The learning environment is good since there are several well-experienced and professional faculty members. 
• The library generally contains books both from the academic and non-academic arenas, helping keep balance. 
• There are provisions for massive labs as well. 
• The non-teaching staff and assistants are extremely cooperative. 
• The curriculum is comparatively easier than what could be anticipated.
• The sports facilities are extremely advantageous for students who want to enroll in it in the first place. 
• The government-approved societies provide the best means of technology in the form of workshops and conferences.
• The placements are good. Huge MNCs such as Google, Amazon, Verizon, PWC, Deloitte, Airbus, and others arrive at SRM Delhi.

Disadvantages

• Students are likely to invest time in their self-study since the professors are only brief about the topic and expect students to learn the subject area on their own. 
• Students are required to visit the main campus for placements because the institute has a centralized placement scheme for every campus.

For admission purposes, you can directly enquire about the same, without having to deal with any third-party agent. 

First of all, it is SRM IST, Ghaziabad. While the institute is meant for science and engineering courses, it doesn’t quite live up to expectations. My cousin studied at SRM Institute, Ghaziabad and honestly he regrets choosing that college. 

Here are the major reasons why you should also not opt for this college.

• Misleading location: For those people who are thinking that the college comes under the NCR region (as mentioned on the website) which is in proximity to Delhi, you are wrong. The National Capital Region does not cover the boundaries of Modinagar (Precisely Sikrikalan), where this institute is situated. If you belong to NCR, it will switch to roaming once you enter the premises.

• Poor management: The management is really poor; you will face delays in all petty admin works like getting statements attested, recommendation letters, fee refunds, etc.

• Faculty: My cousin studied Computer Science which is called to be the best faculty there. However, his expectations were shattered due to the poor faculty. The professors (except a few) have no idea what they teach. You can expect the same professor to take Data Structures, Mobile Computing, Theory of Computation, etc. There is no plagiarism policy, with practical records being the same for all 60 students in the class.
  Also, the labs were outdated, with cutting-edge hardware running on a pirated version of Windows.

• Hostels: The hostels are decent; however, the mess food wasn't worth the high fees they charge. The hostel wardens are uneducated, doing nothing in case of mishaps and aren’t bothered about discipline.

• Poor placement assistance: For the placements in the final year, you need to travel all the way to Chennai with no support from management, not even accommodation support. Still, you won’t get a good placement.

Overall, my cousin and many of his friends managed to spend 4 miserable years in this institute. They feel like it was a waste of hard-earned money. So, we do not recommend you to join this institute unless you are not getting admission to the main SRM campus (situated in Sonipat, Haryana) or any other well-reputed institute.

SRM Sonepat is ranked in the top 15 private institutions of India. SRM NCR has been ranked as the number 1 private institution in India by Times Engineering. Amity Noida holds a ranking of 22 for Private Engineering by NIRF 2020 whereas JIIT has been ranked at 48 for Engineering by The Week 2020.

For a BTech program in CSE, let us look at the major features of the institutions.

Curriculum:

• SRM Sonepat and SRM NCR follow a quite similar course structure with a core focus on practical based subjects. The course has been designed to involve modules in coding and networking.

• Amity Noida has a comparatively theory-based approach to the CSE curriculum. It offers subjects like Object-oriented programming, the theory of computation, and graphics.

• JIIT on the other hand has a well-designed curriculum and offers a range of open electives as part of its module. It also has a live project and practical training element.

Infrastructure:

• SRM Sonepat offers modern infrastructure with updated classrooms and practical labs. It is known to have the best campus facilities for CSE in the given list.

• SRM NCR also has well-designed classrooms, hostels, labs, and sports complexes.

• Amity Noida has huge AC smart classrooms, a stocked library, full Wi-Fi access, an excellent cafeteria, and updated practical labs for Computer science students.

• JIIT has two world-class campuses with a well-structured academic block, modern labs, AC classrooms and hostels, open-air theater, and a sports complex for students.

Placements:

• SRM Sonepat has a placement rate of 80% in the CSE department. The highest and median CTC are 8 LPA and 3.5 LPA respectively. Top recruiters are Airtel and Cognizant.

• SRM NCR observes a placement rate of 70%. The highest CTC is 40 LPA. The top recruiter is Amazon.

• Amity Noida has a placement rate of 100% with the highest CTC of 12.5 LPA. The top recruiter at the institute is HCL.

• JIIT offers a placement rate of 96% for CSE. The highest CTC is 42 LPA. The top recruiter is Deloitte.

Students can make their choice based on the given important factors.

• The top recruiters visiting the campus, providing placements to the students of PES University are among TESCO, Amazon, Cisco, Mahindra, Morgan Stanley, LinkedIn, Microsoft, JP Morgan, Flipkart, LOreal, Bosch, Nestle, ITC, Oracle, HDFC, etc.

• The highest salary package announced at PES University ranges around 48 LPA. Whereas, the average salary package offered is around 6.8 LPA.

SRM University:

• More than 120 companies visit the campus of SRM University to provide placement to the students.

• The top recruiters providing placements to the students of SRM University are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Amazon, Udaan, Microsoft, Digital Track, etc.

• The highest salary package offered at SRM University was by Microsoft of 41.6 LPA.

Between PES University and SRM University, the latter is a better option for CSE. It offers better infrastructure, faculty, and placements for the course.
