Faculty : faculties of this college are well educated and have a good knowledge about their subject and branch . teachers are very helpful and they help in making projects very friendly.
The college also provides merit and need scholarship to the students and the placement of this college have been the best since its inception
Culrav is the annual college fest which is celebrated in the month of march with great joy and enthusiasm.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is too poor of this college, even the sports fascilities are really worst.
No but admission process is tough and a littel mistake can creat a big mistake.
The things which i didn't liked about this college are those which do not make any big difference to someone's career.

MNNIT Summary

Likes

The Professors in Mnnit are highly knowledgeable and cooperative except some
Placement is very good especially for the computer science and mechanical students.No of core companies comes is also good.

Dislikes

Some acaedamic can be slow and complex like scholarship and semester registration.
Internship ratio is low and only good and very high paying companies comes for recruiting the students

Placement Experience:

Placement is good . This is one of the top nits who offer such placements. This year placement hits due to recession otherwise placement is dynamic in mnnit and is above than most of iits except top 5. Percentage is 60 to 70 this time.

best senior which always ready for help you all information of semester exam and how get placement
All opportunity are available here what do you do in future.
If you addmission in NIT the success rate is increased.

Dislikes

Morning class , class are starting here at 8AM
Mess food is better than other colleges but not excellent quality.
If you think to get nit college placement is fix . Placement is fix but you do very Hard work compared to entrance exam

Placement Experience:

After fourth semester students all eligible to campus placement. Company name are : Amazon, Cisco, JP Morgan, Adobe etc etc top MNC company Every year in my course 80 to 85 percentage students are placed. My plan after getting degree is doing job with continue study

Student driven environment. All technical as well as cultural society is student driven that offers good learning curve for students outside classroom.
As of academics, some of the professors are really good who try to include practical learning (sometimes via labs) into the curriculum
Placements are top notch. Probably 2nd best NIT in terms of placements. Get diverse opportunities in all branches.

Dislikes

A bit lazy administration. Need to keep visiting them for some work/documentation
Fests and clubs are still not funded adequately.
Hostel timing restrictions in 1st year(for all) and girls(for all 4 years)

Course Curriculum Overview:

MNNIT is known for Mechanical engineering. Course is quite heavy in terms of courses as well as marking is a bit strict mostly. Best thing about curriculum is it lets you apply itself via labs and technical clubs. As of exams, they are pretty standard with mid semesters and end semesters. Though more of practical learning approach could be added to some of outdated courses.

Likes

Campus has two different sections one of boys and one of girls
Lush green campus with rose plant everywhere
Faculties are highly qualified professionals

Dislikes

Boys are not allowed near the girls hostel
No washing machine in boys hostel unacceptable
Sometimes water coolers take 2-3 days for repair

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester a student become eligible for internships and from 7th semester students become eligible for placements. Companies like Microsoft, Adobe, Deloitte, etc. visit the campus in order to hire students. Average package is around 20,00,000 per annum. More than 80% students are placed successfully.

i like the way of teaching of profs and there interaction with student .
coding environment of our college is too good ,even in core placement is preety decent
college environment is very clean and it is raging free even senior are afraid of juniors lol

Dislikes

75 percent criteria is available here which sometime feel toxic
course structure is so old and not focused on the new imp things of industry
college are little bit unsupportive in case of higher studies

Placement Experience:

palcement is very good even my college comes on top 5 on behalf of college placement package is very good for software and harware both . avg. package is around 22 lpa which is i thing very decent for students

I liked the coding culture here as most of the people here are highlyt knowledge and they know what they are doing in order to pursue there dream as software engineer.
the other thing I REALLY LIKED IS THAT the clubs here are really great like the robotics club the aero club and etc those clubs are always active

Dislikes

I really disliked the buildings here as they are really old and not very good and yes all the rooms didn't have ac's too
it told that college is of 222 acres approx but the only accessible area by the boys is only 70 acres the rest is restricted for the boys

Placement Experience:

the college is although highly famous due to its palcement stats as the placements here are really high and are good. almost 80 per cent of the students gets placed the averagae placement here are really high.

Firstly I liked the placement scenario of this college rhe most as it's really good especially for CSE branch in which I'm enrolled
Secondary, market is close to this college which is also a great thing for us as students as we don't need to go anywhere far away from college,
And also in this college teachers are very nice to students and thiet nature is go, seniors are also helping in nature and various clubs and committees are there here od, they used to explain each and every thing so many times untill we understand

Dislikes

The worst thing about this college is that it doesn't not have hostels for girls like they just used to separate particular year girls in different hostels as per the vacant rooms in hostel,
Classrooms are also so less that they used to suspend clases when examinations are going on for other students
One teacher used to teach many subjects in different years as well which should not happen

Placement Experience:

Students becomes eligible for placements from 6th semester and there is on campus placements in our college, placements statistics of students is good in our college, especially in CSE branch, I want to get good placement from my college itself, like some years before highest package was 1.35 crore and average was 27 lakhs, it's around 95 percent students were placed, 3 to 4 hundred companies visit our college, and

The coding culture of our college is very good u will get plenty of opportunities in coding field here
The college campus is all hygienic and clean the environment is fresh all with lots of trees
College library contains many books which u can refer

Dislikes

Less number of canteens in the campus . Their is no non veg canteen as well
Hostel restrictions for girls. The intime and many other things
Girls to boys ratio in engineering colleges is generally low

Placement Experience:

Studies generally go for internship in the 6th semester whilefor placements students from 7th semester can sit in placement. Their are various companies that visit our campus. Students getting placed varies from branch to branch generally the students who gets placed varies from 80 to 85 percentage. After getting the degree and placement my plan is to do the job ...

MNNIT : Pros and Cons

Likes

Seniors are quite supportive, in academics as well as co-curricular activities
Syllabus is quite updated as compared to other colleges.
Professors are very helpful and is passionate about teaching.

Dislikes

Hostel rooms are not so good. We have to stay in a single size room, but as double shared.
Mess foods are quite expensive as compared to other colleges.
Classroom infrastructure is not so well maintained.

Placement Experience:

Students in 7th semester or above are eligible for campus placement. Though for internship session, one need to be in 5th semester at least. In my branch, this year 2024, in spite of the recession, the placement is decent, around 75%. The overall placement of my college is around 70% My plan is to get placed in any PSU or in any automobile company.

MNNIT : the untold truths of an institute of national importance

Likes

Coding Culture, almost 7 out of 10 people practice Placement oriented coding here.
Systematic environment to make one prepared for placements
Senior-Junior relation and guidance for academic and co-curricular activites.

Dislikes

Poor infrastructure, in spite of being an institute of national importance.
Students have no authority to claim any demand.
Hostel authority is not so good and mess food is not good at all as compared to other NITs and IITs

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good. For campus placement, one has to be in 7th sem or higher. Though for internship, it is 5th sem or upper. In recession of 2024, our college has placement of 70% students placed, Mechanical engineering with 75% and Computer Science & Engineering with 74% leading the list. Also students here get quite exposure to Govt exams, like UPSC ESE, UPSC CSE. My aim is to appear for UPSC CSE.
