So for 1 st yr boys its svbh ( Swami Vivekanand Boys Hostel) includes 3-4 beds in a single room, small balcony, 4 study tables, 2 sub rooms. Mess food sucks, hostel have badminton court inside and washing machines too.

The wifi network in hostels and labs is not good.

Hostel Facilities:

There are basically two girls hostel KNGH , DJGH, SNGH. DJGH is for first yr girls. This hostel is very beautiful and accomodates three person in a room. From second yr you get KNGH , that is not much good as its a very old hostel. It accomodates two person in a room. If you want a single seater room you can go to SNGH . College is little biased in terms of hostel because boys here get a big 14 floor mega hostel in final yr with single seater room and personal balcony. Mess menu is so so. Not much good, but according to fees it can be made more good. Registration process for hostel is quiet simple just fill a form and sign it from warden.

Hostel facility for first year is very good and for 2nd and 3rd year the hostel condition is worse this is all with respect to the boys but in the final year students enjoy a good hostel facility. For girls hostel facility is good comparative to boys.

A brief description over life in MNNIT

Hostel Facilities:

Hostels varies for every year. In 1st year students are provided a very good hostel accomodation which is three seater, while the quality of accomodation in 2nd year is average with fairly small double seater room. In third year onwards you get very good rooms. Food is almost similar for all years with slight increment in quality as the seniority progresses. However the overall experience is nice.

Some rooms of the hostels get very cramped.

Hostel Facilities:

The hostel room provided in the first year is pretty spacious. Rooms in the second year gets a little cramped. You get single rooms from 3rd year onwards. The mess food is ok. Non vegetarians will be disappointed because there is no non veg food. The hostel is affordable, it costs 12000 a semester and the mess costs 25000 a semester.

The locality isn't suitable for the south Indians.There is no nonveg,so don't come with a hope of nonveg.
The food here Is not tasty,but it's top quality.

As of my 1st year experience,I can say that the hostels are really good here I mean more than I expected.The bathrooms are really clean.you will be having a general stor and a cafeterias at the hostel.

The first year hostel named Swami Vivekananda's boys hostel whose charge was 12000 per year. We have 3 occupancy rooms which contain two room attached and having 3 bed, 3 almirah, 3 fans, 3 table, 3 chairs with a balcony.

In the first year hostel SVBH, we are provided a attached two room, one from bed and sleep and one from study. The managment provide three bed, three table, three chair also having 3 fan, 3 Almirah and a balkani too having a beatiful view.

Hostel Facilities:

In the first year, boys have hostel named swami vivekanand boys hostel in which all rooms are shared by 4 people. All basic facilities like 24hrs water supply, geysers ,showers are present. Bathrooms are cleaned everyday and rooms are also cleaned Twice a week by the workers. Hostels are quite affordable with fees of 12k per semester. In second and third years there are 2 sharing rooms known as patel hostel and tilak hostel.in the final year we have single sharing room known as new boys hostel.Mess food quality is quite great and in the menu we have paneer mix veg daal aloo chole litti chokha gulab jamun etc. the menu has enough variety.

The answer is a bit subjective because you need to carry the things that are important to you. But as far as basic necessities are concerned, here’s a list of them-

Clothes for the hostel and the college.
Some homemade snacks. The hostel canteen’s food may not be to your liking, and its timings may not match yours.
Bedsheets, a pillow and a mosquito net. The bedding is available over here, but they sell it for very high prices.
A rope to dry laundry, an extension cord, and an umbrella (the monsoon starts around mid July).
Clothes for fests and outings.
All the other things are easily accessible over here.
Other than all these things, you may carry a laptop, an electric kettle, a hard disk and a bicycle (although you can easily buy a first or second hand bicycle over here).

This is all you need to carry for a smooth stay at the MNNIT Allahabad hostel.

The fresher B.Tech boys get Swami Vivekanand Boys’ Hostel at MNNIT Allahabad. It is the best out of all the boys’ hostels at our college. The college management does everything to create a cheerful and positive environment for freshers.

Here are some details about SVBH (freshers’ hostel)-

The rooms are three-seater and spacious enough for three people.
Each student gets a bed, a study table, a chair and an almirah (with ample space).
The seven-storeyed hostel building contains four water coolers on every floor.
There are two common rooms with a television in each. We watch movies and enjoy cricket matches over there.
The hostel also has its own shop for stationary and other basic necessities.
Alongside the TV rooms is a paid canteen from where you can buy snacks even during late night.
The wifi routers are 8 on each floor, 4 in each wing. One can access sufficient range and speed with some vpn and proxy settings.
The rooms are cleaned regularly, and they are always in a hygienic condition.
The hostel premises have sufficient space for late night walks.
The washrooms are hygienic, but there’s always a rush outside them in the morning.
The mess serves a variety of meals, but the food is very average in taste.
All the messes on campus serve strictly vegetarian meals.
Two messes operate in the SVBH hostel simultaneously, each having a capacity to cater to 70-80 students at a time. This has been done to ensure proper services during rush hours.

First and foremost, congratulations on getting MNNIT Allahabad for your B.Tech.

The three main gates of MNNIT are- The Ganga gate, the Yamuna gate and the Saraswati gate.

Infrastructure- Infrastructure-wise, there’s a lot to improve. The important elements of our college infrastructure are- The Administrative Building, the Main Building, the Multipurpose Hall, the Playgrounds, the Hostels and the Guest House.

Sports- The campus has a main playground and a Gymkhana ground (containing the gym on one corner). Other than that, there is a basketball court, one volleyball court, two tennis courts, three table tennis tables and two indoor badminton courts. There’s ample room for sports players to polish their skills.

Hostels- There are seven boys’ and two girls’ hostels. The girls’ hostels are located on the other side of the campus, near the Directors’ house. Among the seven boys’ hostels, Mega Hostel is the best one. It is allotted to freshers. Tagore Hostel is located outside the main campus. The other boys’ hostels are- Raman Hostel (for PG students, located near Tagore Hostel), Patel Hostel, Tandon Hostel, Tilak Hostel and Malviya Hostel.

Cafeteria- The campus houses one main cafeteria i.e. Bikanervala. There are three canteens in the hostel region, namely, Chechi Restaurant - famous for its samosa, Raj Canteen - famous for its maggi, and Teerath Canteen - popular for its aloo ka paratha.

MNNIT Allhabad has two girls hostels. Students of B.Tech lives in Kamla Nehru Girla Hostel. The hostel is located in the colony area outside the Saraswati gate.

MNNIT hostels for girls are two-seater. Although the rooms aren’t very spacious, after a while you will get used to them. The washrooms are hygienic and cleaned regularly.

The mess food isn’t too bad. They offer 4 meals - breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner.

There is no wifi, but each room has LAN connection. Usually, there is one LAN port, so you will have to share it with your roommate.

The hostels are safe. There are security guards present at all times. The in-time for first-year girls is 8:30 pm while for second year onwards, the in-time is 9:30 pm. Extensions are given during fests.

Hostel and campus life are subjective things that will vary between individuals; there is no metric to comparatively quantify the same. I can give you some idea about the hostel and campus life at MNIT Jaipur and MNNIT Allahabad based on what I heard from my friends at the institutes.

Comparison:

Location: This is the best thing about MNIT Jaipur as it is located in the best locale of Jaipur, Malviya Nagar. This is one of the most happening places in the city and you would enjoy proper city life. In comparison Allahabad is a smaller and more old school town, so you may not enjoy proper city life. But then, this is subjective of course.
Campus: You will get uninterrupted fast internet access. The campus has 9 boys hostels and 3 girls hostels. There is one mega boy’s hostel with 1000 bad capacity and one mega girl’s hostel with 600 beds capacity. All others are medium-sized (200-300 student capacity). In the first year, students share with two or four other students in their rooms. After that single rooms are allotted.
Weather: The climate of Jaipur is harsh and hot most of the time. Allahabad, being in the plains, should have a comparatively pleasant climate.
Food: The mess food at MNIT Jaipur is tasteless and pathetic.
Other facilities: The computer center of MNIT Jaipur is really very good and is of a very high standard.

Based on what I heard from my friends at these two institutions, it seems that MNIT Jaipur offers a better hostel and campus life.

One of my friends was a former student of this institute. He once told me that everyone always considers the window users at the hostel; thereby, he prioritized the Linux users not to face any internet-related issues.

My friend considers the conditions related to the proxy net, which is not the regular one. He mentioned that utilizing proxy settings basically changes the internet settings of “Fast Internet”.
The most important thing is that the college can monitor internet surfing; besides, they also limit your Internet usage.
However, DC++ settings were very ancient, and it was there approximately 3-4 years back. But as everything is now streamed online, thereby usage of DC has been drastically reduced.
It can be mentioned that there are approximately 8-10 proxy settings by which you can surf the internet. But the problem is that only one has no limits; however, it is not allowed in the hostel and the surrounding areas.
The Internet becomes slow during the evening time, that is from 7 pm to midnight. This institute provides a Squid proxy setting to its students, which is basically a visit more and gets easier. , if you visit one particular website daily, this setting will automatically allow you to visit the site, even at a low internet speed.

However, my friend was a gamer; he was not so interested in doing Facebook and YouTube. Thereby, he finds the following solutions:
