Biotechnology at MNNIT Allahabad is really good in comparison to other NITs. You can get placed here if you have potential, and core companies have started coming for campus placements. However, I suggest you choose Biotechnology only if you have an interest in research, as it is a field focused on that. Additionally, at MNNIT, you have the option to slide your branch in the first year if your CPI is above 7.5, allowing you to opt for your desired branch, but you will need to work hard in the first year. I’m currently in the M.Sc. Mathematics and Computing program at MNNIT Allahabad, and I can say the curriculum is quite good. It combines technical courses with research, which is great if you're into both. We learn programming languages like C and C++, and there are electives in the third and fourth semesters, which is nice. As for placements in 2025/26, last year's stats were impressive with 19 out of 21 students getting placed. The highest package was 21 LPA, and the average was around 10 LPA, so I feel optimistic about our prospects!
