Very few students get a package close to 20 LPA.

Do not get confused by the average package of premier institutes, as many of them convert international offers into Indian Rupees while making those calculations. Doing so makes the average package very high. These packages look high, but are very basic in relation to the living cost of the respective foreign cities. The same logic applies to MNNIT Allahabad, or any other NIT.

Instead of focusing on the placement figures, choose a college with a good environment and high growth opportunities. MNNIT is a good choice for CSE, and it has a good record overall.

Curriculum- The IT curriculum at IIIT Allahabad is better than the CSE curriculum at MNNIT.

MNNIT CSE >= IIITA IT > NSUT CS/AI

MNNIT is the first choice because it’s on Eid the top 5 NITs with the most sought-after branch CSE. IIIT Allahabad is also a great choice for CSE because it has a CS-tailored curriculum and ambiance.

Overall I feel if you are certain of joining an IT company, and have an interest in coding and computers go for IIIT Allahabad IT or MNNIT Allahabad. If you are unsure of your branch preference go for NSUT.

As per college rankings, MNNIT is the top NIT in North India. It witnesses very good placements in IT/CSE. The average package for IT is almost at par with that for CSE. This year, the average package was around 24 LPA for IT and 27 LPA for CSE. The CSE students at MNIT Jaipur receive comparatively way lower packages.

At MNNIT, CS, and IT students have the same curriculum till 2nd year. Even after the 2nd year, only 1 or 2 subjects are different. The coding culture is great, and coders perform really well on various platforms like CodeChef, HackerEarth, Hackerrank, etc.

I would recommend you choose IT at MNNIT Allahabad.

Which is better for CSE, NIT Rourkela or MNNIT?

Ok so year wise I am paying around 2,40000 of 2 semister, among wich academic fees is almost 98,500*2 for two sem and hostel+ mess is 25,000*2. Institute fees is 10000, caution fees is around 5000; which includes 2000 each for institute and hostel and 1k for library. Ok so all this all was for income category greater than 5 lakh students. For below total fees gets almost half . Yes students normally fill up state scholarships and nsp.

Fees and Financial Aid:

As I am not Indian National, so for foreigner or NRI the semester-wise tution fee was $2000 (for SAARC country) and the conversion rate that was used is the one application for that particular semester. Apart from tution fee we have caution fee of rs. 5000, user charges of rs. 9000 per semester, Institute fee of rs. 10000 per semester and hostel fee of rs.12000 per semester. We had mess fee of rs. 25000 per semester. So as an International Student from SAARC country the total amount to I had to pay per semester was $2000(tution fee) + rs. 31000 (semester other fee) + rs. 25000 (mess fee). At the time of admission I had to pay the registration fee of $2100. If the student is not from SAARC country he/she have to pay tution fee of $4000 per semester and remaining all remains the same. And for the Indian national tution fee depends on Category and family income.

For Income > 50000 -> 99000 per semester For Income <50000 and Income> 10000 -> 53000 per semester For Income < 100000 and SC,ST-> 36000 per semester Hostel fee is 37000 per semster for everyone. Apart from this there are various scholarships you can get in college based on your cgpa and family income.

My experience in MNNIT

Fees and Financial Aid:

The tuituon fee I am paying is 62,500 rupees a semester. The caution money is one time and it is 5000 rupees. The hostel fee is 12,000 rupees a semester. The institute fee is 10,000 rupees and the user charges is 9000 rupees a semester. The scheme above is for families with income aboe 5 Lakh. For families with income between 1 to 5 lakh, the tuition fee is 20,833 rupees a semester. And for families with income lesser than 1 lakh the tuition fee is NIL. Rest all is the same.

The semester wise fees that I pay is 62,500 rupees. Yearly it adds up to 1,25,000. Upon admission the hostel and mess fee have to be paid via an online portal where any UPI app can also be used. Hostel feels is actually 30,000 per semester but they do take a little extra approx. 32-33k. Mess fees are always constant ie 25,000. For other quotas, there are some relaxation in fees in mess, hostel or tuition. For example NRI students pay $4000 per semester which adds up to around 8 lakh rupees per year. The mess and hostel fees for them is same. There are a ton of financial aid options available. For students belonging the the state of Uttar Pradesh. Even for students who belongs from the gulf.

Yearly fees estimates to 2,43000 rs. This includes 50,000/ year for mess, 24,000/ year for the hostels and rest is the tution fees ( for general category students ). This fee is paid semester wise. Many scholarships ( state level and national level ) are there for students to opt from. The college itself informs the students about the available scholarships which they can choose from. Fir category students, a big relaxation is given and their fees comes down to around 1/3 of what general category students are supposed to pay.
