- Placements are very good but as recession is hurting every job there is the placements have fallen down a bit.
- The campus life is quite bad compared to other indian institute of technology because the infrastructure is quite old and bad here and appears dull tbh.
- Mess food is also stupid bad, its affordable, at only 15k per semester, but the quality is really bad.

- I really liked the sports and clubs of the IIT BHU , they play a huge role in your personality development .
- The campus life is too good and the faculty is top notch provides each everything for a student to improve its academic knowledge .
- The curriculum is little bit hectic but we got holidays on Saturday and Sunday . The infrastructure for the department is traditionally old type but hostel are newly furnished.
Dislikes
- The TA in the workshop and lab are too egoistic and don't have the proper knowledge about the subject the are going to teach .
- Outside the campus there is huge crowded population which means you have to face traffic , unhygienic environment while exploring the city .
- In the 1st semester we have too strict policies can't go on nightout with friends
Placement Experience:
The placements at my college are really robust , reflecting the institute's strong reputation and industry connections . From 6th semester students can apply for placements . Around 60% students are placed every year . My plans after getting a degree is for doing job .

- I like the Greenary in the campus. Total campus was sorrounded by trees
- This campus contains more sport facilities.
- One thing I love in this campus is ragging free. Seniors will guide us here

- This is not closed campus. So all public will come here
Course Curriculum Overview:
At first when I got this Electrical engineering course , many people told me that this course very tough. But when I came here it was opposite. Our faculty is very good.in labs also we were given freedom to experiments.Overall it was nice

- The campus is located near the bank of holy ganga river which provide pleasent environment
- It encourages students to explore their interests and develop and well rounded skills and also it has a strong community network
- The placement rate of IIT BHU is exceptionally good and it is improving year by year and some top companies hire students
Dislikes
- Academic building is a little bit less modern and infrastructure is not too good like lack of air conditioner make it very difficult to sit in class during summer
- IIT BHU is an open campus so there is some security problem like many people couldn't recognise that whether he/she is IIT student or outsider
- The taste of mess food is not that good someday the pulses have not good taste
Placement Experience:
If no campus placement is done then students can apply for off campus by showing their degree and grades. It is very rare that students in IIT BHU don't get placement. Also in the college life many students learn coding, web development and develop many other skills which helps them when it comes to the placement Whether it is on campus or off campus

- The lush green campus here is liked by many of us and so much greenery can also be seen here.
- The food here rovided by the canteen and the mess is tasty and delicious.
- The placement and internship rate is also much appreciable here.
Dislikes
- The things I disliked about this campus is open campus.
- One more drawback is that of safety measures and proctor services.
- Also, the system here is not much impressive.
Placement Experience:
The placement rate of our college is also quite impressive. Top recruiters from all over the world come to our college to make the students sit for the placements. Students are placed in big companies such as apple, Google, microsoft etc

- I really liked the aura of its campus that pull you towards it. Lovely 400+ acres green campus
- Faculties are of top class. My PHY 101 Course teacher 'S GATE RANK is 1, he is well known in field of relativistic mechanics and fluid mechanics.
- The non teaching staff is very humble I have interacted with many people here everybody talks in a polite manner.
Dislikes
- I don't like the cleanliness of the campus. Also the campus is called 'Open campus' anyone can roam here
- However faculties are well educated and renowned but their teaching manner is out dated , they just delivers lecture and government out.
- No A.C is provided in lecture halls !! It's very difficult to sit in lecture hall for 8-9 hours in this harsh temprature in northern india
Placement Experience:
After 3rd year students are eligible to get internshipa from the companies. After completing 4 years at last semester companies visit in IIT BHU around December for placements.
Around 70%+ students are placed while other government for Higher education, start-ups.
Average package of mechanical engineering is 18 lPA which is decent and other branches have packagez 16-20lpa.
IIT BHU have the best placement cell!!

- mess food is excellent and their is wide variety of items every time for lunch and dinner also the breakfast is above expectations
- the hostel is free and huge the ground floor is completely dedicated for the students cycle parking
- the campus is completely ragging free and the seniors always support their juniors
Dislikes
- the freshers are not allowed to remain out of the hostel after 10pm
- the hostel building is so huge and the lift malfunction many times
- the classrooms and hostels are not provided with air conditioner and also cooler is not allowed for freshers we have to to be dependent on table fans and the ceiling fans only
Placement Experience:
the placements are awesome actually i am in computer science course and it has average package of 34lpa
but allover college package is 22.77lpa the highest package was 1.68cpa
more than 65% students here gets placed.

- Sports facility is very good. I Love that here almost every sport is played
- Hostels and mess food. Mess food better than I expected
- Teachers here are very friendly and are very higly qualified and knowledgeable
Dislikes
- In every sport we have to bring our own equipment like in table tennis we have to bring our own racquets college won't provide you anything except the space to play
- Lecture halls still doesn't have ac's in them so it's pretty hot while attending lectures
- Campus is open and not closed like other IITs so anyone can come in and go out and college is not in isolated place place away from varanasi it's like in the centre of varanasi so pretty crowded place
Placement Experience:
I think from 3rd semester onwards internships starts and according to your cgpa company hires you. Highest package from our branch is 51 LPA . Percentage of students placed in our branch is about 60 percentage and others do research or start ups so noone goes unemployed

- I liked the environment where the campus of IIT BHU is situated.
- IIT BHU also has very large numbers of clubs and societies run by student itself which provides numerous opportunities to students so that they can enrich their personality.
- Faculty of IIT BHU is so experienced having expertise in their domains. Their teaching approach is also very unique in terms of explaining the concepts.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure of IIT BHU needs to be improved as far as other IITs are concerned.
- Since the campus of IIT BHU is open so sometimes safety concern arises which needs to be to taken care of.
- Campus sometimes gets highly crowded due to movement of persons outside the campus.
Placement Experience:
Once you enter the IITs you will get ample opportunities of employment placements are among one of them. Placements of this IIT is good enough and is around 85-90 percent. You will be eligible for sitting the placements after 6 semesters onwards.

- It has a huge beautiful lush green campus with amazing opportunities for students it has an amazing culture and makes the college life amazing
- It has amazing sports culture and makes one of the best athletes
- It has amazing coding culture which helps to find amazing placements

- Everything is alright nothing is like that which I disliked
- Only the weather is little bit hot otherwise all good
- Except the weather issue everything is good
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is amazing and it is very aligned with the new education system which enhances the quality of learning and makes education better it is amazing to learn here which has highly good academics

What are the views of IIT-BHU students about Kashi Utkarsh?

My friend is an alumnus of IIT-BHU and he was a member of the Kashi Utkarsh too. He claims the organization is doing really well in eradicating the prevalent social constraints through the collective efforts of the group. The body convinces the financially weak families living in Varanasi slums to send their children to schools with the help of KU funding.
As easy as this may sound, the actual process is very tiring. The families are hell-bent against education and persuading them is a big task. The relentless efforts of the team members of KU and their compassion to serve the weak have brought massive changes in society.
However, some students of the institute don’t give KU the respect they deserve and are not ready to spend a single penny claiming that KU pockets the funds themselves.
If you visit the social media handles of the KU members, you will find a list of children who get into the formal education system along with their school fees being paid by KU. Dictionary the constant assistance from professors like Prof. Ashim Mukherjee with KU helps KU stay strong.

What are the changes that took place in the college after IT-BHU got converted into IIT BHU?

My friend was a student at IIT BHU and he witnessed a number of changes as the IT BHU got converted into IIT BHU.
- The Vishwakarma hostel became a 3 storied building
- Kashi yatra, the annual socio-cultural festival of IIT(BHU) Varanasi stayed open till 10.
- The grading system first changed to absolute from relative and then finally back to relative grading.
- Mid-semester tests were introduced in place of class tests.
- One of the sandwich shops became a complete multi-storied restaurant.
- The Chemical Engineering department was updated in many ways.
- The students were no longer allotted single rooms.
- The campus facilities were improved including the Internet connections.
- The 90 % attendance rule was introduced.
- The institute got 3 new directors.
These were some of the changes my friend witnessed after the IT BHU got transformed into IIT BHU.

My review of IIT BHU will be based on some very common parameters.
- Infrastructure: The academic buildings are not air-conditioned and are equipped with obsolete instruments. The hostels are surrounded by natural beauty but the living conditions are pathetic with cramped rooms and dirty toilets. The poor LAN connections are a major major problem here.
- Faculty: The faculty again is very disappointing. some even lack basic knowledge and some are too arrogant to guide the students. The answer sheets are checked in a disorganized way and the pedagogy adopted is old school. So here, you will have to completely depend on self-study.
- Research: The majority of the faculty focuses on administrative tasks and fails to encourage students to research work. The institute has no globally recognized research work to date.
- Facilities: The library has poorly organized books and lacks good study material. The LAN network is another major issue faced by students here. The departments are closed by 6 ok and the library is locked by 10 pm. This is a major hindrance during exams.
- Campus life: The frequent student activities make the campus life of IIT BHU lively and dynamic. A number of activities are organized in IIT-Gymkhana by the students and Kashi Yatra is the annual cultural festival of the institute. There are amazing sports facilities like huge grounds and fields for Cricket, Football, Badminton, and Tennis.
- Placements: IIT BHU has one of the best placements among the top IITs. Currently, IIT Bhu Placements 2023 is being held and around 474 offers and 305 PPOs have been made. IIT BHU's highest CTC was recorded at INR 1.2 CPA. A total of 117 recruiters took part in IIT BHU Placements 2023. Top recruiters included Airbnb India, Uber, Microsoft, Accenture, Piramal, etc. Last year the highest CTC stood at INR 2.05 CPA which was offered by UBER.
Overall, IIT BHU is a great choice if you are willing to sacrifice the hostel conditions and self-study.

Pharmaceutical Society and Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering & Technology, IIT (BHU) organize the Nation's largest pharmaceutical fest-SPIRIT.
SPIRIT is an annual fest of pharmaceutical engineering & Tech. branch of IIT(BHU). It is a national level event where pass out students can also participate. Pharma and medical enthusiasts from the country come together in this two-day fest to encapture new ideas and innovations to bring out the best of the participants. There are many competitions where you can compete to share and gain knowledge and ideas. Workshops and seminars are also organized. IIT(BHU) is the only IIT having a pharma branch, that's why it is the best college of pharma. The Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology, IIT (BHU) was established in 1932.
If someone wants to pursue higher studies in pharmacy, SPIRIT gives a platform to meet the best professors and students. SPIRIT is also a good platform if you want your research paper to be published by showcasing here to many professional pharmaceutical organizations.
