For getting admission into any IIT in India, one has to clear the Joint entrance examination (JEE Advance). This exam is ranked the hardest exam in India and the second hardest exam in the world. This exam tests knowledge in three subjects - Physics, Chemistry and maths. There is an overall cutoff in the exam (about 30% of the maximum marks) and individual cutoffs of the respective subjects(about 5-10% of the maximum marks in each subject). If a student clears both the cutoffs and gets a decent rank, he'll be able to get admission at IIT BHU through JOSAA counselling. Through JOSAA counselling we can opt various courses at many IITs in India. The only thing I hated about the admission process is the management.
