Course Curriculum Overview

3

The courses are not that much based on practical applications. They don't make you industry ready that much. There are two major exams in a semester i.e. mid-term and end-term. There are quizzes, assignments, tutorials, lab exams as well.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are good opportunities for internship in IIT BHU. Aboout 50% of the batch gets intern in good companies. Core companies for Electrical: Nvidia, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Bajaj etc. Software/Quant companies open to Electrical: Google, Microsoft, DeShaw etc.

Placement Experience

5

The placements here are quite good. Companies that hire for Electrical core: Nvidia, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Bajaj etc. Software/Quant compaines open to Electrical: Squarepoint Capital, NK Securities, Google, Microsoft etc. The % of students getting placed are 85%. Average package is 29.33 lpa. I have got an internship in Nvidia Software.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees each semester is 121600 including everything. There are many state and orivate scholarships available for students like Reliance Scholarship, MMVY. The mess fees has been increaed for 15000 to 16500. Fees (category-wise): Gen(income >2lpa)-121600 Gen(income 1-5lpa)- 54933 Gen(income <1lpa)- 21600 ST/ST/All PWD- 21300

Campus Life

4

The campus life here is pretty decent. The cultural fest and technical fest here arequite good and invite famous people as guests. There are various opportunities to go to outfests and Inter IIT as well. The library has a wide variety of books. There are various clubs be it cultural or technical or social.

Hostel Facilities

4

The facilities are decent in hostel. The mess food is good compared to other colleges. The hostel fes is negligible and the mess fees is 16500 per semseter. The newly built hostels are given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students. There are vending machines, water coolers, washing machines in each hostel.

Admission

I chose IIT BHU at my rank because the placement here have always been very good. Apart from IITs, I applied for BITS Pilani although I rejected that college based on very high fees. I got IIT BHU based on JEE Advanced exam and was alloted the college in JOSAA Councelling. I obtained 3342 in JEE Advanced to get Electrical Engineeing in IIT BHU.

Faculty

3

The faculty-to-student ratio is quite low. Although the relations between them are quite good. The professors are supportive. I liked Ankit Arora sir because he encouraged students to do research in the core find good opportunities. I didn't like Atul Sir because I didn't understand what he used to teach in his class. The exams are notes-based and are quite easy to score in. Very few fail the exams.

Night Life

3

There are night canteens available in each hostel. There is a newly built cfetaria and is really good. There is Student Activity Centre(SAC) which has a very big and well equipped gym, sports facilities like badminton, tennis, squash, table tennis etc. The famous hangout places are Limbdi Corner, Vishwanath Temple.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Jims is a ipu college, so yeah curriculum depends entirely on ipu University. First year is similar for all btech courses. Or is easy to earn marks in lab and soft skill subjects but maths or physics is hard. Your 12th basics should be very good, else these two subjects will affect your overall SGPA badly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course structure is good of btech but there there is only thing I don't like is that in btech course the subjects in first year are not related to career of students because there is physics, chemistry other irrelevant subjects present in first year but in second year the course become interesting and relevant. Curriculum is good and prepare well for real world applications. The exams comes frequently every month there is a class test but class tests are moderate on the basis of there difficulty level.

The students are eligible for placements in the final year. The college offers basic placement training and assistance. Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly speaking I don't like the curriculum of my college. Everything is same which people studied 20 years ago . Only few things has been changed and I don't understand why we need to study about things which don't have any existence in reality. They should focus on current tech and provide more learning opportunities in AI.

course curriculum is little bit out-dated, and improvements are needed in terms of syllabus. timing of exams are ok ok. so many assignments are given which is really hectic because their are deadlines to upload those assignments in google classroom. and one thing i hate about college is 75% attendence is must. due to this we do not get much time for our personal development.
