IIT bhu college review

I have choose mechanical engineering in IIT bhu . That's not my choice jossa alloted me that on basis of my jee advanced examination rank. Initially I don't like mechanical engineering but now it seems interesting. Our professors of mechanical are chill as well as rude . Some professors still follows traditional way of teaching and their way of teaching is very boring but some professors follows latest methods to teach they use ppt and smartboard to teach. Exams generally are not tough but some exams are really very tough like I earlier mentioned like engineering mechanics and philosophy etc. the course curriculum is connected to real world approximately 40 percent and about 60 percent is just waste . In IIT you only develop yourself among the top brains and companies hire u on the basis of skill .

Our college has many internship opportunities. Regarding internship there are mails on student email id everyday approximately. I recently give my 1st year end sem exam so I don't have brief idea about internship at all

Our college IIT bhu provides placement at end of year companies came for hiring students and hire them . Our IIT has 2nd rank in terms of placement in all iits. At the end of 3rd year students became eligible for campus placements. Our college also provide internship in third year companies came for internship in our college. My plans after getting degree is to get a high paying job in india and give financial stability to my family. Approximately 70 percent students get job in placement sessions.

I am an obc candidate and my father income is less than 5 lakhs so for every semester I have paid 39865 for college and approx 15000 for mess per semester . Fees is not increasing every year . Our college also provide scholarship like up scholarship and many other for sc , st candidates.My friend is from general background his tution fees for every semester is 1 lakhs and his mess fees is 15k like me. Sc ,st candidates have to pay 6k as tution fees for every semester and 15 k as mess fees.

In our college there are three main fests name kashiyatra,technex and spardha. spardha is sports fest and technex is technological fest and kashiyatra is the annual fest in which great singers came this year jubin nautiyal and naksh aziz and also raftaar came to our college. Our college has a library named shrinivas despande library. It has vast collection of latest and historical books .the facilities in classroom are latest but they don't have ac in classroom but it contains a smart board , a green board and a projector.our college has a gym which has latest equipments and also three grounds . Also 2 volleyball court 2 lawn tennis court and many more courts for different games . Mainly our college has a building name sac which contains all indoor games.

In latest hostels students provided with washing machines and ac in reading room . In hostel there is vending machines to buy food at night and a canteen which is open upto 3 am . Mess has very good food on Saturday we have special diet also . In every two days they give sweets at all.

I got mechanical engineering in IIT bhu because of my rank in jee advanced examination. I rejected civil of kanpur and chemical of ghuwati because of the superiority of mechanical over them . In terms of placement IIT bhu rank is now 2 after IIT kanpur that's one of the reason to choose it. Now I tell u about my admission process all the students alloted a date to submit documents and for hostel verification . Then on that day the allot us hostel room to stay. Then all students of different branches alloted different places to go and submit documents we go there and submit documents after a rush. Then they give us college id card with college stamp. In IIT and nits u got college on basis of rank of jee main and jee advanced examination.

In our college some faiculties s are chill and some faculties are very rude. I tell you a latest story , in my second sem I have a subject called engineering mechanics his professor was very strict he didn't give marks to students easily in last sem he failed 45 students of civil branch . Our seniors told that he is very dangerous professor. In my second sem I also have a subject called philosophy in that subject professor is rude he gave students only c- grade . It affects overall cpi . Some faculties are nice like our thermo professor. In our college every semester is of 6 months and mid sem exam starts approximately after 1.5 months and end sem after 4 months . If you study for whole sem you have no fear for exam . Some exam are easy some are hard and some subject made only to decrease students cpi.

Our college don't have very tight security. It Is unsafe for girls to hangout in night . Also it is tough for boys because of bhu students they are very stupid they jealous of IIT bhu students. Students can roam in certains areas in night because of them .hostels don't have entry exit timings except for first year . In first year there is no entry after 10 pm to 5 am . Our college has a famous hangout spot name vishwanath temple which is very peaceful .
