Placements are very good but as recession is hurting every job there is the placements have fallen down a bit.
The campus life is quite bad compared to other indian institute of technology because the infrastructure is quite old and bad here and appears dull tbh.
Mess food is also stupid bad, its affordable, at only 15k per semester, but the quality is really bad.

Academic excellence: The proffesors at IIT BHU are highly approachable and with knowledgable ,makes topics easier to grasps.Their interactive teaching methods are helpful for the students to ensure robust foundation for both practical and theoritical
Career Oppurtunities:The placement cell effectively connects students with top tier recruiters offering excellent packages.The strong alumni network provides strong guidance to the students ,ensuring the students are well prepared for career path
Campus Life:The technical and cultural fests create a lively and engaging environment.Active participation in the competitions increases connection and build dtrong friendships and enhances interpersonal skills

Infrastructure:While IIT BHU is improving still some aspects like old IIT BHU hostel need facilities like the new hostels present here.Upgarding these areas would enhance the campus experience better

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from their 7th semester onward.Companies like Google,Microsoft,and goldman Sachs visits offering a range of profiles.The highest package recently was 1.65cr with average 25 LPA.About 90% of eligible students secure placements.For those who do not,options include entrepreneurship or civil service,higher studies.My plan is to pursue a career in software development or data science .

there are so many thing in iit bhu that you will like after taking admission in iit bhu like great social interaction ..very great alumini network..
quality of faculty in iit bhu is very nice and curriculum is not so hactic . acedmics of iit bhu is very chill .
placements are very good in iit bhu ..specially placements of circuital branches is just amazing in iit bhu

there are not so many things that you will dislike abut iit bhu as an engineering collage
may be some students dislike about infrastructure of iit bhu
it can be a problem for some students that there is no ac classrooms

placements of indian institute of technology bhu are actually amazing of each and every year.there are so many multinational companies comes in iit bhu for on cmpus placement and approximately 80 to 90 percent students placed every year from iit bhu

Btech students have placements from 6th semester, while it is 8th for IDD students. For cse and mnc, more than 80% of the batch size are placed with a median salary of 35 lakhs+ and highest going more than 1.4 cr for the two batches I want to go to a quant firm or as sde based on the interest I develop

Mesmerizing and Beautiful Campus and Placement

It has an overall good coding culture and good extracurricular activities
It has very good placements and almost everyone will get placed if he is serious enough with a salary of minimum 7LPA. Maximum salsry can go as high as 1.65 Cr PA or more. Average salary for circuital branch is around 20 LPA+
Seniors are very approachable and helpful and many wellness and Student Services are also provided in the college to help student overcome their difficulties. Online mentorship for YourDost platform is also provded free of cost.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is a bit old, although new equipments are been installed everywhere, but right now infrastructure gives a dull vibe.

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT BHU are a huge success. IIT BHU offers strong placement opportunites with a high placement percentage (would say almost everyone will be placed if they are serious for their placements, and even start late). Placement generally begins in the 7th semester. This year 220+ people get PPO (pre-placement offers), and most of the masss got placed in first 5 days of placement interview in Decemer (around 900 including PPOs). We saw a huge diversity in companies that visitts the campus placements, Google, DeShaw, Oracle, Microsoft, Flipkart, Nvidia, Texas Instruments, Walmart, OLA, Zomato, Uber, Groww, PhonePe, Sprinklr are a few of them (total 250+ companies and profiles). Placement stats have improved a lot from past year recession period. TPRs are very friendly and supportive and theere is a strict action against cheating in placements (which may include debarrement from placements phase 1). Major profiles are Software, DA/DS, Business/Consulting, Product. Highest (excluding PPOs) - DE Shaw 70 LPA, and Databricks 68 LPA for software profiles. Pce Stock Broking 75 LPA Average package here is around 20-30 LPA. 10 - 20 % companies : 7-12 LPA. 40 - 50 % companies : 13 - 21 LPA. 30 - 40 % compaies : 22 - 40 LPA. 10 % companies : 45 + LPA Percentage of students getting placed - last year was recession so there were 12-15 % student overall unplaced This year I see companies are coming in very huge amount, and around 900+ (right now 1000) students already placed. I would predict that 20 % students will remain unplaced after 1st phase of placement that will end by December 2024. And after 2nd phase maybe 4-5% students will remain unplaced. My plans, since already placed at SLB, will work 2-3 years in the company. Then will switch to Microsoft or Amazon.

Ragging is strictly prohibited in the campus of IIT BHU.Seniors are very helpful and supporting in nature.
Newly made hostels are provided with great infrastructure and all basic facilities.
Greenery in the campus is too good .There are many trees in the campus.Making the campus a green zone.

Dislikes

The open campus of IIT BHU is something made things bad , traffic jam , traffic noises are very bad.
There are no ACs in the classrooms.In summer it is very hard to study in the classrooms lacking Ac.
Fresher are not allowed to go outside their hostel after 10 at night.

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year campus placement get started. There are many companies like Wipro, Amazon, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, etc. •Higest package they provide is 1 cr plus per annum. About 70% students get placed. I will work my best for betterment of my life.

Why choose any other college other than IIT

Likes

The staff difficulty and the structure course structure as well as the infrastructure
The first that happens almost every month
The roads the roads the cleanliness and the facilities they provide

Restriction of movement around the campus due to some unforeseen
Agitation open campus annual can enter the ground
Those Birla peoples suck as hell through the mount

You can't be talking about placements and not talk about iits and the crore packages will there are few crore packages but the average that a person can get from after getting a degree from an IIT Sholay around 18 to 20 lacs in hand

In terms of academics my college is very good. Sports facilities is also there. IIT BHU has almost all sports whether indoor or outdoor. Also students activity centre is there which has many indoor games facilities.
Transport facilities are available within the campus which is a good thing. Also the thing that I liked the most is that our college is ragging free.
Almost all professors are PhD holders. Girls to boys ratio is 1:4 . Also the mess facility available in hostels is very good.

Dislikes

However one thing which can be improved and our college is working on that also is better cleanliness.

Placement Experience:

Yes our college provides placement and students become eligible for placement in their final year ( before final semester). In 2023-24 total 307 students received pre placement offers from 68 companies. Some companies which offered PPO were Oracle, Flipkart, Google, Morgan Stanley, Cisco, Tata steel, Adobe etc. Overall 924 offers were made for placement from 277 companies. Some companies which came to our college for placement were Wells Fargo, Flipkart, Tata steel, OLA, Accenture Japan, Texas instruments etc. Total international offers were 9 . Highest package was ? 1.68 cr and ctc package for international offers ranged from ? 77 Lpa to ? 45 Lpa. I will also be sitting for the placement in my final year.

Lot of good opportunities for self development in this college
Sports facility and clubs are really an important part.
Seniors are very helpful and no ragging ever took place

Dislikes

Infrastructure needs a real improvement compared to other iits
Placements are really really good infact better than lot of top7 iits but internship opportunities needs to be explored more
Some departments are very old and needs complete re-establishment

Placement Experience:

Placements are really really great and the average package last year was around 24 lakhs and I ternships are provided too.Laso there are enough opportunities for you to go towards entrepreneurship.It will be easy once you come here.

How is IIT BHU???

Likes

The bond between the professors and the students is really good.
Very strict rules against ragging. Strict actions are taken immediately on any misbehavior in the hostel.
Seniors are very friendly and cooperative, they will guide through your college journey.

Dislikes

The campus is an open campus means that anyone can enter the campus.
Mess food is not good and quality of food is not maintained.
It is not safe to move in the campus in the night as it is an open campus.

Placement Experience:

Placements of IIT BHU are really good if you comapre it to other IITs, despite having so much undergrads the college has been able to provide placement high percentage over 90%. Students are able to apply for campus placement in the seventh semester. Highest package in 2024 was 1.2 crore.

i liked the environment of the college not many vehicles and polution at most extent fresh air and there are many trees , good greenery
very rich and good culture is preserved here and the campus is very beautifuland architecture is of 19th century
the ground and sports facilities are too good and they are top class

compare too other IITs this college lacks in many other things
the thing that i hated the most is open campus of this college
there are air conditioners in class rooms

My review of IIT BHU will be based on some very common parameters.

Infrastructure: The academic buildings are not air-conditioned and are equipped with obsolete instruments. The hostels are surrounded by natural beauty but the living conditions are pathetic with cramped rooms and dirty toilets. The poor LAN connections are a major major problem here.
Faculty: The faculty again is very disappointing. some even lack basic knowledge and some are too arrogant to guide the students. The answer sheets are checked in a disorganized way and the pedagogy adopted is old school. So here, you will have to completely depend on self-study.
Research: The majority of the faculty focuses on administrative tasks and fails to encourage students to research work. The institute has no globally recognized research work to date.
Facilities: The library has poorly organized books and lacks good study material. The LAN network is another major issue faced by students here. The departments are closed by 6 ok and the library is locked by 10 pm. This is a major hindrance during exams.
Campus life: The frequent student activities make the campus life of IIT BHU lively and dynamic. A number of activities are organized in IIT-Gymkhana by the students and Kashi Yatra is the annual cultural festival of the institute. There are amazing sports facilities like huge grounds and fields for Cricket, Football, Badminton, and Tennis.
Placements: IIT BHU has one of the best placements among the top IITs. Currently, IIT Bhu Placements 2023 is being held and around 474 offers and 305 PPOs have been made. IIT BHU's highest CTC was recorded at INR 1.2 CPA. A total of 117 recruiters took part in IIT BHU Placements 2023. Top recruiters included Airbnb India, Uber, Microsoft, Accenture, Piramal, etc. Last year the highest CTC stood at INR 2.05 CPA which was offered by UBER.

Overall, IIT BHU is a great choice if you are willing to sacrifice the hostel conditions and self-study.

What are the changes that took place in the college after IT-BHU got converted into IIT BHU?

My friend was a student at IIT BHU and he witnessed a number of changes as the IT BHU got converted into IIT BHU.

The Vishwakarma hostel became a 3 storied building
Kashi yatra, the annual socio-cultural festival of IIT(BHU) Varanasi stayed open till 10.
The grading system first changed to absolute from relative and then finally back to relative grading.
Mid-semester tests were introduced in place of class tests.
One of the sandwich shops became a complete multi-storied restaurant.
The Chemical Engineering department was updated in many ways.
The students were no longer allotted single rooms.
The campus facilities were improved including the Internet connections.
The 90 % attendance rule was introduced.
The institute got 3 new directors.

These were some of the changes my friend witnessed after the IT BHU got transformed into IIT BHU.

My friend is an alumnus of IIT-BHU and he was a member of the Kashi Utkarsh too. He claims the organization is doing really well in eradicating the prevalent social constraints through the collective efforts of the group. The body convinces the financially weak families living in Varanasi slums to send their children to schools with the help of KU funding.

As easy as this may sound, the actual process is very tiring. The families are hell-bent against education and persuading them is a big task. The relentless efforts of the team members of KU and their compassion to serve the weak have brought massive changes in society.

However, some students of the institute don’t give KU the respect they deserve and are not ready to spend a single penny claiming that KU pockets the funds themselves.

If you visit the social media handles of the KU members, you will find a list of children who get into the formal education system along with their school fees being paid by KU. Dictionary the constant assistance from professors like Prof. Ashim Mukherjee with KU helps KU stay strong.
