Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum curriculum is quite practical with its own pros and cons .... As till now we are being taught really practical courses mostly oriented towards mathematics and computer science as my branch is mathematics and computing and it is really balanced curriculum as many college with MNC branch is heavily oriented towards mathematics with very little coverage of core computer science but here it's almost 50-50 which is really good

Internships Opportunities

5

Around 200+ companies visit our college annually offering a wide range of roles Several companies offer internships at IIT bhu like amazon , google , micro soft , flipkart, unilever,Qualcomm, Walmart , uber, Jp morgan etc Stipend can vary depending upon the companies that come to offer placements Most internships offers role for software development engineer , data analyst ,finance analyst, consultant Highest stipend - 2 lakh ? per month Avg stipend - 50k ? per month

Placement Experience

5

Placements are quite good at my college as it's an IIT and students are generally eligible for placements in their last year and many multinational companies and international companies come at our college for giving placements like Goldman Sachs, google , microsoft, apple, amazon, flipkart, This year the highest package was ?1.68 cr to a cse student and for my branch the average package was 35.4 lpa Good number of students get placed around 90%+ My plan after getting the degree is going for masters in artificial intelligence in a IVY league university for better chances of international placements

Fees and Financial Aid

This year I paid total of ?228242 It's my first year here's the breakdown 1st semester - Mess fee - 15000 Academic fees- 91965 (includes hostel rent and admission fees and all extra charges) I am a general male candidate with no scholarships or fee remissions this is the full fee structure..... The few structure is same for GEN/OBC/EWSs/QIP For SC/ST/GEN-PD/OBC-PD/SC-PD/ST-PD The overall academic fees for one semester is ?6050 + mess charge(as it is) The fees will remain constant for throughout the academics for all semester except for X semester for IDD students the semester fees will be ?16350

Campus Life

4

Our college holds variety of fests throughout the year for eg out cultural and biggest fest is kashiyatra which is usually held in month of February or March Our tech fest is technex and our sports fest is spardha which is usually held in month of September-october The facilities aren't high class in the classrooms as our classrooms aren't air conditioned till now Our college provides excellent opportunities and facilities for sports there are facilities and a coach for almost every sport be it hockey, football, basketball, badminton, karate, taekwondo, volleyball, tennis, table tennis ,cricket, or even indoor games like chess or carrom Our college has its own SAC (student activity complex) which has a many gynmasiums for different sports) Our college has variety of clubs including tech clubs, media club, cultural club etc

Hostel Facilities

5

Our hostel is really cheap with high class facilities we have water coolers with constant water and electricity supply and we get high speed internet connection inside the hostel both wireless and every room has 2 ethernet lan connections for high speed wired connection with speed upto 1tbps and Our mess is extremely good it's a bit costly but provides quality meal even better than home sometimes as it gives variety of dishes Registration process isn't hectic as it is covered during physical registration for semester we just need to provide fee receipts and that's it ..... It's is really affordable considering hostel seat rent for a semester is just 300?

Admission

I didn't really "apply" to any other college i came to my college through JEE advanced examination.... Given my rank of 2k the best I was getting at this rank was my college with my branch .... My goal was to go in an IIT and i chose IIT BHU cuz it was the best IIT where I was getting a good branch like MNC in the rest of the top IITs I wasn't getting my prefered branches .... I applied for IIIT Hyderabad computer science tho as i got 99.9%ile in jee mains and I was selected too but unfortunately i had to withdraw from my counselling as it was too costly and I couldn't afford it My college only takes addmission through JEE advanced examination and For my branch the cutoff this year went 2137 rank for general male candidate While the cutoff for the college for general male candidate is 16-17k rank in JEE advanced The overall admission experience was quite smooth as there aren't lot of complexities here and its quite straightforward

Faculty

3

There are lot of faculties with multiple faculties for some course and the faculties are quite approachable as most of them are quite Friendly except a few.... I haven't met all the faculties yet but the one i liked most is mathematics professor Rakesh Arora and he is quite friendly also young he explains things really good and in a friendly way he is from mathematical sciences department and he teaches the course MA101.... I didn't like my CSO101 Faculty he taught us C programming but all he did was come in class with some slides and he just read the slides like it's a story and didn't explain them In a semester we have 2 exams mid sem and end sem with every course having its own exam for our 1st semester the exams were on the easier side there are only few number of students who failed the exam as it is an IIT

Night Life

2

Everything in the college including gym or library usually closes off at 8pm and but canteens are opened till 4 am and hostel timings for 1st year students are 10 pm for seniors there is no strict timings or anything for boys for girls there are strict timings and guidelines..... It's really safe to roam around at night if you are inside the campus outside the campus it may or may not be safe .....

Other Applied Colleges

IIIT Hyderabad | Computer science engineering

It was too costly I was selected but didn't have the money to afford it .....

Placement Experience:

Integral University in the third of engineering asks us to take time out for placements training. Students who haven't done any internships are asked to do one or attend the workshops organized at the university. Thus in the final year, we are fully prepared and companies also are never disappointed as maximum students clear the interviews with ease.

Placement Experience:

My college has an average placement of 6LPA. Placement eligibility starts from the end of 5th semester, but when I got promoted to 5th semester, placements declined due the the restructuring in placement cell. So our batch missed the opportunity to attend any placements. In year 2022, the highest placement was around 22LPA and in year 2023, it declined to 9 LPA as there was restructuring in team. After getting my degree I will look for carrier opprotunities on my own, as I have not experienced any placement in my college years.
