Dislikes
- Girls to boys ratio is very less especially in branches like civil and mechanical.However, it is improving right now due to 10% reservation for girls in IITs. ~ Akaash R, B.Tech

- The college has a very good academic standard and the real world example oriented assignments and exams made the learning interesting
- College infrastructure and the value given to each student is very nice
- Faculty was well versed with their are of research and their explinations was always on point
Dislikes
- once semester starts the three and half months will be full hectic
- Assignments are good sometimes it will take time
Course Curriculum Overview:
The courses are designed in a way that is on par with the new advancements happening in the outside world; the assignments are real-world applications and give the confidence to solve new problems. Exams and assignments will all be weighted equally so that continuous evaluation is taken care of.

- Campus is green and cool environment here , is as such does not feel pressure here , faculty's are too good cooperative and curriculum is best here they teach us in perfect order and semester lasts 4 month here.

Cirriculum is perfect , machine learning is specialised here , course like Deep learning , PRML , linear algebra , AI offered here are best.
Grade distribution is also fine here not as such burder , they give assignments and quizes.

Placement Experience:
The placement process takes place in September and interviews are held in the first week of December.
Placements are best in the country.
The highest package this year was 1.2 cr domestic given by aphagrep to an Mtech cse. The average is around 30-35 lpa. Almost all students get placed.

84% of the students got placed in the placements of 2021. The number is less as the students who sat for placements were limited in number. Rs. 70 LPA was the highest CTC offered to the students. Larsen & Toubro emerged as the top recruiter of the week. Intel
Microsoft, ICICI Bank, Tata Projects, Vedanta Limited, ON Semiconductors, Bajaj Auto, Samsung were some of the participants of the placement week.

Placement Experience:
IIT Madras provides the best return on investment. The average program fee was around Rs. 5,00,000/- and the average package during the placement drive was around 20 LPA. The college has a 100% placement record because the placement committee is very professional and hardworking they make sure that every participating student is placed. The highest package for our batch went up to 75 LPA and the average package was around 23 LPA. Companies like Qualcomm, Microsoft, Honeywell, Texas Instruments, Goldman Sachs, American Express, L&T, Deloitte, Amazon, Raukten Mobile, etc visited the campus during the college placement drive. I also got placed in Microsoft with a package of 25 LPA.

Remarks:
The admission process generally starts in the month of April after GATE results are out. We have to apply in each of the college admission portal as well as there is a centralized admission portal (COAP) where offers are released from mid May. I chose IIT Madras as it was one of the top 3 IITs and it has good faculty for ML and AI. Also, the placements are good.

As I pursued my Btech from IIT Madras, I was persistent to continue my MTech from the same institution. So, I took up the MTech CSE course at IIT Madras. As far as the general aspects of the institute. The institute is highly excellent in terms of Placement, academic excellence, global exposure, experiential learning experience, international collaborations and partnerships, qualified faculty, etc. My admission was purely done based on the last qualifying exams, GATE scores and I underwent the COAP counselling process for the selection process.

It is a full-time degree or diploma and so it will have more value than online. But if we compare IIT Madras’ online degree or diploma with any other college’s then it is better.
The duration of the course is 3 years. The mode of training is online, the lectures are mostly recorded and partly live sessions.
Whether the course will be good or not that depends on what subject you are planning to pursue. If you opt for a subject related to technology, then it is not a good option. This is because technology cannot be learned through books or audiovisual. It requires you to be present in the field to gain experience and knowledge.

The online Data Science program at IIT Madras is a great opportunity for someone who can not attend regular college because of financial constraints, illness, or other reasons. The online BS in Data Science and Application allows students to gain knowledge of this field from one of the most reputed engineering colleges in India.
