Decent in academics good for extra-curricular

LPU is renowned for it's infrastructure and campus life there are almost 60 academic buildings in the campus also there are several food stalls also we have an entire shopping mall inside the campus there are grocery stores available.
There are fests and functions happening in lpu almost every day life is very happening here there are various competetions held on daily basis where prizes are awarded
There is cosmopolitian population here and people from all over India reside in the campus also there are no threats of ragging here the university is very strict about it and regulates consumption of tobacco.

Dislikes

There are almost 30000 students in LPU and so much crowd is clausterphobic and also gatherings are very common crowd is present almost everywhere.
Campus is very vast we have to walk almost 2 km everyday with heavy laptops in back there are e-karts available but they are costly.
Some faculties are reallly rude also I don't like the assignment process here almost 2 assignments are alotted every week

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am pursuing B-TECH and my courses are 7 and apart from 11 and 12 we have extra python and HTML. I personally feel physics and maths are burdened in the sem because their syllabus was limited to what I had studied in calss 11 and 12. Also the python course was quite rigid and the teaching was fast paced also the dependence on laptop created a fuss. If python and HTML are taught with more creativity and with some time it will be great for all the students to grasp the concepts very well and if the burden of assignments is limited then students can code more.

Likes

Placement oportunities provided by clg in any domain
Collage ambiance is very nice and beautiful
Interacting with different culture and different countries people

Dislikes

All are sales jobs maximum clg providing
Strict rules and over importantance and permissions to security gaurds
No non veg available in the campus which becomes more difficult

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities are high in lpu nearly 200 companies are visiting every year in only cse department as compared to this there is much more companies are visiting for recruitment in every different domains.

Lovely life

Likes

I like the infrastructure of this college.
There is a lots of chance to select in any sports.
Studies are good and environment is good.

Dislikes

More fee compare to another good private college.
Teacher are good but they need to clear more concept.
Lots of competition are in this college.

So I liked almost all the things in the college. The college is spread across 600 acres. It is very bad. It is full of green lashes everywhere. There are people from different countries, different, different languages, Different cultures
I also like my course, because I feel the education. The overall course is actually put out well. There might be a few courses that are not necessary or not needed. You might feel, but they are just us fun and extra curricular.
I think the best part was Hostel is my Hostel and my college was very near. It was just five minutes walk on days. I would get late. I will reach on time. The safety is the best part about the entire College.

Dislikes

I wouldn’t say I disliked anything, but there was this thing that they have a lot of trained dogs in college and I am very scared of dogs so that was the only scary factor in the college like I wouldn’t be scared of my safety, but I would be scared
I think the mess food I did not dislike it, but I also understand since they cook for so many people like a huge population. The food taste obviously had to go for a toss.

Placement Experience:

Lpu does have a good placement offer. There are so many so many, so many companies coming in and out, mostly there of business development sales, so I did not obtain for placements because I wanted to make something in digital marketing, which was not as much coming to college when I was studying, so I had to choose a Company outside, even when the package given out was lower than what they given college because in college, obviously your sales company finance company operation company, obviously pay you higher. And there is no partiality for placements because it is it is like you will have at least one company coming for you. It's obviously not one company there are so many I had around 500 companies coming in like after I graduated so I still have placements coming from Lpu . I can have that for one year, I like that scheme so even if I leave my job, I can go there, but these companies were mostly sales which is a field. I did not want to go so I did not opt for that.

I don't like the hostel timings for girls that is limited
Boys can roam at the midnight too inside the campus
Sometimes not giving breaks between classes

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good here students get packages here in crores and the average starts here from 6 lakh per annum which takes almost all good students to 50lakh per annum provide good internship opportunities I plan to take placement from here then masters from here only but online with job.

MCA IN LPU

Infrastructure of the university and facilities provided in the classroom-Like in every class there is 2 acs,Charging points,Smart Boards,and high quality pcs in lab.
Facilities provided by university-like there are unihospital in our university which have mbbs doctors if there is any type of problem then you will be visited there.
Faculty way of teaching-like teachers show us live industry projects for better understanding and go for industry visits

Dislikes

Hostel Timing and some restrictions-Like the hostel timimg for girls is 8 pm in summers so that is not good
Non Veg is not provided in university like it is prohibited in university so that think i did not like
Here the minimum attendance to appear in exam is 75% that is not good if you have any medical issue or anything university did not consider any medical issue

Placement Experience:

1.For MCA at the end of Semester of 2 students are eligible to sit in drives and you have more than 6 cgpa then you are eligible 2.Many MNCs are visited like wipro.TCS,HCL,Accenture,Microsoft,Google etc. 3.Highest package is-30 lakh and average package is 6 lakh and roles are Data Analyst,Software engineer,etc 4.80% students are placed in good companies 5.I want to become data analyst so my plans is to get good placement in MNCs

Infrastructure is actually too good. They provide you good labs and equipments with no default.
The campus is hygienic and Clean and also well maintained.
You'll be able to meet. Alot of foreign people here connecting you globally and that is only because they provide full scholarship for foreign people based on your performance in a test that they'll take.

Dislikes

Girls from all years have curfew at night but boys don't. You can't even roam inside your campus.
The hostel is a little less spacious and a little bit untidy sometimes.
They put a lot pressure on students regarding studies.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from there 3rd year (if your course is for 4years) The companies often visiting are boeing, air bus , indigo, half and drdo. Highest package offered is 22lakhs and average package is 5 lakhs. 60 Percent students gets placed, rest go for higher studies. My plan is to write AFCAT after my graduation.

Best and Affordable University

Likes

Facilities are awesome like we are exposed to everything in the campus like sports, library and etc
Faculty here are good, i never saw any faculty taking grudge om any student, they are sweet.
Infrastructure is the most i liked in the university.

Dislikes

As a non vegetarian i cant eat non veg inside the campus
No student politics, i love politics but here we have no chance to become student leader

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is great but the subjects taught in all over india are same but the difference here is that we have labs, mainly the study here is practical based, we have autocad tutorial classes for designing, workshops for electronics and students can spend their time in the labs if the want to do something.

I completed BTech CSE from LPU back in 2016. You might say that LPU has changed since then, but I am still in touch with my juniors and here is my experience:

Placements: More than 550+ MNCs and startups visit the LPU campus for placement. In recent news, Yasir M., student of LPU, grabbed an offer of INR 3 crore in Germany. The highest CTC offered for the engineering programs at LPU is INR 42 LPA.
Scholarships: People might think LPU is pricey since it is a private colleges, but LPU provides scholarships to bright students with good academic records, good track record in sports, or extracurricular activities. LPU also helps students in the education loan facility.
Research: In terms of research, Stanford University has ranked almost 13 LPU faculty members amongst the top 2% of scientists in the world.
Faculty: The faculty members are from top institutes like IITs, NITs, IIMs, and top-ranked universities globally.

I am a BTech Mechanical graduate from LPU. Here is an honest review on the placement scenario at LPU (in engineering)-

The placement scenario is poor for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical. Few companies visit these departments for placements, and hire a maximum of 5-10 students in total. But if someone knows basic coding, they can sit for IT placements.

Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, etc. visit the CSE/IT departments for mass hiring. Very few core companies visit the ECE department for recruitments, so the students rely on IT companies. A mere 40/50 out of 1000 ECE students get hired by an Electronics company from the campus. The IT companies mass hire students at a CTC of around 3.5 LPA.

This is the engineering placement scenario at LPU.

Being a graduate from LPU, I found the campus life quite joyful as everyone in the university is supportive. I liked the following things about the University:
