An insightful journey- My experience at LPU

The course offers both practical and theoretical approaches. Whatever is taught in theory is actually implemented at labs pertaining to real world applications like making changes in circuits by replacing them with the latest in the market and many more. For me, understanding the logic behind codes, and format was too hard however the way the curriculum showed all the ways made the things easier to practically use and at some point you eventually learn so that was big deal for me and i think like every 2 weeks is a test that even motivates us to obviously practice more so that test frequency is perfect

Our Campus LPU is known for its placements All the vertos get eligible for placement in year 2 I personally did not chose placement as I had other plans after my graduation but my friends are placed at Wipro, Google, Microsoft,Apple and Capgemini All of them are at rewarding packages But for me I had plans for higher study at abroad again I was able to do that because LPU is brand when I applied having a degree from LPU just reflected me as a outlier. So for this i would rate 5 given my friends experience and their packages

Yearly fee for my BCA course was 1,00,000. However, my university did gave me a wonderful opportunity to avail some benefits upto 30,000 per semester. So, having my benefit of good score from 10th and one entrance test called LPU NEST, i got 20,000 benefit making my semester fee as 30,000. However,the fee increase after every year is hole burning meaning every year each course for Bachelors rises up by straight 10k. Apart from that examination fee is extra for me it was 2000 extra each semester. Rest they have flexible policy of paying fee. They do offer fee student loan too incase if any student faces difficulties and my international friends were paying twice the amount as any other normal student. But besides that one thing I can vouch for this place is that it offers you ample of opportunities way more than you can imagine there are sport opportunities, SC,ST relives and army background and if you are willing to get some discount give your best shot at LPU NEST the only opportunity that can get you the biggest scholarship

I was actively part of a Techy Tech group from my building no. 38 and they used to carry out various activities like Hackomania, Bounty Bug events and many more. Apart from this it has a big cultural fest where celebs too visit leaving us with a memorable experience. Their are many active groups every year in each building there are total of 57 building each dedicated to a different school of study

So, i applied to one more university which was Chandigarh University and luckily I was approved to go for it as my previous scores were good also if I go fee structure wise again CU is budget friendly but that was not only the point to consider in getting into the uni instead I chose LPU over CU for so many reasons: Travel- Daily cost from my place to CU would cost me 250 a day and the bus charges are for whole year meaning i would be even paying for those months when it's off at university so that was a big no. But LPU being close to my city would save me both time and money. Academics- LPU university has the best record of academics when it comes to academics nothing can beat that in comparison to CU even the ppts that are given to us at LPU is far better. This is because I had some friends at CU they tell about how worse exam system was and how students fail in subjects. Placements- No wonder LPU has only released the best of its students shaping their carrer in best way possible. Today as I write this more than 59 athletes that play for India are from LPU itself. Neeraj Chopra being the latest icon from Javelin throw brought a silver lining to our campus LPU and the highest package offered to a computer applications student was 50lacs and it has international tieups with leading companies. However, CU too has placement policy but not as much and not as high as LPU Getting admission in LPU was definitely the best decision I made from simple swift steps of admission by getting degree from none other than Prime Minister of Australia at Convocation was a best experience...

One thing about LPU is the study material would never disappoint you as the faculties plan the curriculum and topics in such a manner that a student would never feel pressurised. Most of faculties are their own aluminis making them more approachable. Their were some faculties I like the most is Sanchit sir from Robotics department who made syllabus so easy for us to grasp. There were many more favourite faculties because understanding their way is just too easy. Examination system is easily divided into 4 parts out if which one stands for Attendance, second is class assesment, third is mid term that happens after 3 months and lastly is end term exams and it's too easy to score and pass the exams as 5 marks can be easily procured just by showing 90% attendance and second best 2 out of 3 class assesment weighs 25% of final score and just like that mid term and end term covers up for rest of the proportion. With the examination policies being so flexible and scoring there is hardly any chance someone would fail....

Since I was a day scholar i could not comment much on nightlife but as per my friends it was a lovely experience from hostel POV but there is always a lot of crowd in front of campus and adjoining restaurants. There is GYM facility swimming pool and 8 floors big Library and to add more to this experience there is a big mall called UNIMALL not only mine but many more students favourite spot to hangout
