CU Punjab Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

It is research based university which manily focus on research so placements is not that empresive mainly students goes for higher studies after completing. Some department like computer science and pharma department give placement of average pakage 4 LPA. Probably I will go for higher studies.

There is a placement and training cell in the university but the main task of that placement in training cell is to go for the internship of the students though the university also provides training in different fields for the students that includes some faculty training programs some UPSC exam preparation and some government exam preparations that makes the students ready for outer world but basically the main focus of the university is on the search as it is a research University not a placement based University after post graduation I plan to pursue research.

The curriculum of the course is well and good . If you suggest any change in that faculty will listen you and they think about that plan. Faculty also thing about the competition that we have to face after our course.

I Want to be a teacher and I got inspired because of my supervisor who taught me so many things. My course is not started yet so I don't know about that much so I can't tell about the curriculum that much wheather it prepares or not.

The exam pattern of university is boring because consecutive exams are very stressful to us. Consecutive exam happen there not get enough time to study well and perform the exams that is the main reason for difficult of subjects And also some teachers lectures are very boring the way of teaching is boring and long lectures it took continuous 1-4 hours. It is too boring and we can't concentrate on that subject

The syllabus is vast and we are unable to cover from every part. The timetable schedule is also very long sometime we could not get enough time to manage. They must provide some study materials for the skill of students for those who prepare for competitive examination.

Actually, the seniors told me that the department faculty is good and central university of Punjab is really nice. That's why I opt this course and also I have studied my bsc this subject and I was very fond of this subject. Teachers should understand what the students know and should think that we are not as much thoughtful and knowledgeable as them. Three surprise tests are not needed I think. One will be enough. This is making us so tired. One teacher takes class upto 8 or 9 in the night. That also make us tired. That should be changed.

The exam donot increase the stress because the last sem exam various course curriculum activities like term paper, assignments, presentations etc, so tue final. Result of the combination of marks from all these.

For my course they are providing both theory and field work classes. The syllabus is difficult. All the faculty teaches in agood manner. Timings of the exam is too short as we cant prepare eell for our exams
