20 Jun, 2025 IIRF Overall Ranking 2025 has been released for the Top Government Universities. CU South Bihar has been ranked 50 out of 50 univerities in India.

17 Jun, 2025 CUET UG 2025 Answer Key has been released on June 17, 2025. Candidates can raise objections till June 20, 2025. Further, NTA will tentatively declare CUET UG 2025 Result by the 1st week of July. To know more, click here.

05 Jun, 2025 CU South Bihar PG Fee Structure 2025-2026 has been released. The total academic fee is ₹ 24,836 -₹ 94,072 .

Central University of South Bihar was established in 2009 under the Central Universities Act 2009. The University has been accredited by NAAC with a grade ‘A’ and has also been ranked at #1 and #56 by EWI Bihar and EWI India respectively. It is also approved by AICTE and UGC. Central University of South Bihar is known for offering various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate programs under Science, Arts, Engineering, Law, Commerce, Education and Medical streams.

Admission to BA + B.Ed, B.Sc + B.Ed, BA + LLB and other PG programs is provided based on a valid CUET score. For the M.Tech program, candidates are provided admission based on the GATE scores.

The admission process can be easily explained in the following steps :

Visit the official website of the University and click on the ‘Registration’ link.
First, register with basic details like Name, DOB, Father’s Name, email ID, and enter a valid password
After registration, login using the credentials.
Now, fill-in the application form with mandatory details and upload the scanned copies of documents required.
Finally, pay the application fees and submit the form.

Ques. What is the academic system followed at the CUSB?

Ans. CUSB follows a semester system with the aim of enlarging the curricular space and encouraging more learning opportunities among students. The academic programs follow a choice based credit system (CBCS) which enhances the learning opportunities to students and facilitate the vertical integration of knowledge.

Ques. What are the facilities available at CUSB?

Ans. The Central University of South Bihar provides various facilities which include a computer lab with over 80 computers with high speed internet connection, Seminar Hall and a Guest House. The library of the university is provided with a total of 25,000 textbooks, reference books, books related to competitive examinations, entrance examinations and journals.

Ques. What are the cells available for the students’ welfare at the CUSB?

Ans. CUSB: Education in Bihar !

Likes

Infrastructure is developed in comparison to many Other Central University with this kind of Low Fee Structure.
For taking a criterion of Law, there is organization of frequent moot courts and activities like MUNs and Debating Leagues.

Dislikes

Medical Facilities which is the important, seems to be lacking not totally but it is not up to the mark.

Student view on course curriculum

The Curriculum is also well suited for judiciary examination. One Major thing that the curriculum lacks is that students get very less free time in start of Semester before being fired with Assignments, project, viva-voce, internals leading less time for students to participate in extra curriculars

Internship opportunity provided by the college and stipend

As I mentioned earlier Placement cell is not fully developed in the University. It only started 2 to 3 years back so their are not much companies in the queue for right now but many companies are showing interest like Wirpo gave 3-4 Placement form 5 L.P.A. to 7 L.P.A. The roles were of legal biome in the company.

Placement provided by the college and highest package

Placement in this college is relatively being provided from last 2-3 year. So placement is properly developed in this University. But placement are being done from past 2 to 3 years in many sector including law and Every other course especially science. Student mostly become eligible in their final year only. Companies prefer student who have more of practical knowledge like drafting etc. The highest package offered was 7 Lakhs P.A.

Yearly fees structure of the college

Fee Structure is this University is very affordable, it is 7000/- per semester without hostel and with hostel it is 16,000/-. But Hostel is given to you based on the performance. There is no such Hike in prices for last 5 years and not any scope in further times too. If talking about law your complete course is just under 70,000/- excluding hostel as it is your choice not compulsory,

College fest and various activities

Campus Life is okay-ish. There are many events held but mostly cultural not funky events which is a bit of a letdown.The function are usually held at starting of Semester or end of it, that usually saves time of students.In library all books are available including Novels related to laws, bare act and many other reads related to all subjects. Facilities is class room is good with smart boards and comfortable benches and tablet arm chairs .

Hostel facilities provided by the college

Hostel is Affordable and also Good. Single room with a veranda and an almirah is provided with two students along with a solid wood table and chairs. The mes food is bad, like think twice before opting for mess, it will be good for starting 1 month then the quality starts degrading and no action is being taken on this aspect.For Hostel registration visit the website and fill a Google form for hostel accommodation.

Student views on the faculty

In aspect of faculty, there is no doubt collage has excellent faculty. One thing that is personally liked about faculty that they are straight, like if a concept is to be ratafied they say it rather than complicating it, to understand the concept. The faculty are supportive they help in projects work and assignment. Faculty for non law subjects and also good and provide a good insight of their subject with their own subject

Admission process of the college

For addmission process is pretty standrad just like rest of University. It takes addmission on CUET basis. First you have to go CUSB website then open cusb samarth portal and in new addmission fill your details along with your Cuet score and pay fee of 500. After sometime a list will be provided for all selected students along with Cut-offs . After Addmission the verification is also done after 1 Month so students get proper time to settle and arrange documents, rather than in rush. So overall addmission is smooth.

INFRASTRUCTURE IS DECENT AND WELL-EQUIPPED WITH ITS FACILITY ACCORDING TO THE COURSE.
ENVIRONMENT IS CLEAN,ANTI-RAGGING FREE AND SMOKING RESTRICTION.

Dislikes

TRANSPORTATION FACILITY IS LACKED FROM MAIN GATE TO DEPARTMENT.
AVAILABILITY OF MARKET IS ALSO NOT THERE.

I CHOOSE THIS COLLEGE BECAUSE IT PROVIDES LAW COURSE WHICH I NEEDED. CUSB IS ONE OF THE REPUTATED UNIVERSITY IN BIHAR FOR LAW DEPARTMENT AND AGRICULTURE ALSO. LIFE AT CUSB

Likes

The greenery and silence in campus is very helpful. Also the discipline is too strict.
The infrastructure of this university is the USP as it is very nice in comparison with other Central Universites.

Dislikes

The market is also at distance of 5 kilometres in local market but no shops are available in campus. Only canteen are available in campus with very limited commodities.
The campus Life is too boring because of campus being at outskirts of Gaya town. You need to travel almost half an hour for Gaya and there you would get city amenities.
Very less exposure with outer world and more in campus roaming will happen because of off location.

This university is more affordable than any other universities for law course. This university is nearby hence is better option for me. I had applied for different Central University but I could make into this only. This has better in infrastructure. And everything else average.

For admission in Master's programme, one has must completed his/her graduation. They have to qualify cuet exam (earlier cucet). You will be able to clear the exam if you have studied well in your graduation. The admission process is quite easy. And if any issue occurs, the faculty member are there to guide

I like campus life and there campus structure
The way students are treated here are good

Admission:

You need to give the CUET exam and in THIS exam. You need to fill the option in which you apply for centre university of South Bihar and then you get a cut-off list which is approx 82% and then university release theMERIT list in which if you clear the cut-off, then you get the entry in the university.

CUSB: Education in Bihar !

Likes

Infrastructure is developed in comparison to many Other Central University with this kind of Low Fee Structure.
For taking a criterion of Law, there is organization of frequent moot courts and activities like MUNs and Debating Leagues.

Dislikes

Medical Facilities which is the important, seems to be lacking not totally but it is not up to the mark.

Admission process through common university entrance test CUET and cutoff is very high for BALLB course like I had scored 530 out of 650 . General category cutoff is 499 out of 650 OBC 480 SC 400 ST 390

I liked the infrastructure of my university
Attendance is compulsory. And I liked it because regular attendance makes college life to be punctual

Dislikes

Climate. The climate of gaya is hot and dry
Nearby places. There is no any such place to explore nearby

Admission:

One must give cuet ug with legal education as domain and gk and English. The cutoff of our college ranges form 350-500. The counselling process is very simple. one just needs to register on university website for course admission and enter details and wait for the list of admission.

The True Essence of Central University of South Bihar: An Honest Review.

Good Infrastructure is available in my University for studies.
Little amount of ICT tools are also available.

Dislikes

University transport facility is not there.

Admission:

We have to qualify CUET-UG exam and relevant subjects to enter in this course. We can visit the NTA website to fill out this form. There is less or no difficulty in our exams because our teachers clear all the concepts in teaching time.

Social life in Campus

Dislikes

There is a little bit of gender inequality in the campus as the sports events are conducted mainly for boys in the campus
Lack of cultural events. The entertainment program conducted in the university is very low as compared to many other institutions

Admission:

I got into my university through CUET entrance examination a common exam for getting admission in the central universities all over India .I have opted for doing masters in commerce ,which we should have a minimum percentage of 55 at our bachelor's to be considered by a central university. CUET is the central university eligible test conducted by the NTA . The examination will be conducted year by year approximately at the month of September and the application procedures will begin approximately at the month of July or August.The examination charges a certain amount of fees for various courses.CUET is a computer based examination which has 100 questions.From the questions 25 of them will general aptitude and the rest from the main subject.Each right answer carries 4marks and wrong answer0.25 will be deducted. The examination will be of 3 hours also the examination is multiple choice based.The selection will be based on the cutoff marks of the particular university.

After successful registration, you will be redirected to the student’s registration online form.

CUSB accepts applications through online mode.

Candidates applying for B.A + B.Ed, or B.Sc + B.Ed must be qualified with at least 50% in 10 + 2. Admissions are based on the CUET scores.
Admissions to the B.A + LLB course is also on the basis of CUET scores. Candidates must have passed 10 + 2 with at least 45% to be eligible.
For the M.Tech course, candidates must have achieved 60% in B.E or B.Tech in a relevant specialization, or MCA. Admissions are based on GATE scores.
For all other PG courses, eligibility criteria range from 50 to 55% in the relevant specialization. Admissions are based solely on CUET scores.

A 5% relaxation of marks is also granted to all candidates from SC/ ST / OBC community to be eligible. While applying for CUET, there is no Cut Off for these candidates, unless their overall score is 0 or negative.

Admission to CUSB Gaya is done based on CUET-UG/PG exam and the registration will end by February 10^th 2024 for PG courses and for CUET-UG, it hasn’t begun yet.
