- Good campus. Great environment with a calm and subtle surroundings

- Not much instruments that can be useful for studies
- Less field activities and practices. It's almost like wasting the resources.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course I'm studying is Disaster Management. The course structure is perfect with knitting our knowledge in disasters both in scientific aspects as well as social aspects. The GIS course is really appreciative as this will be further useful fo us students as a future disaster manager. Though the field practices are less, we will be having a project only semester during our last sem.
Likes
- The academic is soo good and the subject are easy to learn
- The facilities are friendly and reliable which it's comes to the academics
Dislikes
- We don't have a proper wifi connection in the hostel
- We don't have placement cell in the campus and no proper channels to communicate to the placement authority
Course Curriculum Overview:
First of all the name itself make the course unique. And in my intermidiat days I was into environmental science and disaster management. Then I got to know than pondicherry University offers this course. The syllabus and the curriculum is innovative and informative.
Likes
- The faculties in the department are friendly and very useful for improvising our knowledge and skills.
- Twenty four hours roaming is allowed in this campus
Dislikes
- There is no proper ground facility for sports activities
- Temperature changes makes some difficult during first time later we can adjustable
Course Curriculum Overview:
It is located at Port Blair, the picturesque capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It has sophisticated laboratory facilities equipped with the latest equipment such as GPR, ERT, terraTEM, echosounder for field investigations and ArcGIS/eras facilities. The department offers PhD and M.Sc. programmes in disaster management. The department educates and trains the students to conduct R&D activities in disaster management. Students from all over India come over to the Port Blair campus to enrich their knowledge in disaster studies.
