Course Curriculum Overview
The course I'm studying is Disaster Management. The course structure is perfect with knitting our knowledge in disasters both in scientific aspects as well as social aspects. The GIS course is really appreciative as this will be further useful fo us students as a future disaster manager. Though the field practices are less, we will be having a project only semester during our last sem.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee for the course is around 23000INR for the first sem, including admission fee. It's around 3500INR for the second and forth semester and around 16000INR in third semester. The exam fees around 500INR is excluded among this. Ultimately a total of 60000INR is charged for studying this course. Though we will get an island scholarship of 1000INR per month throughout the year until the completion of course.
Campus Life
Eventhough the Port Blair Campus is small, the friends we make are in expendable. We celebrates each and every multicultural activities by our own means. This borderless experience was really extravagant and should be exemplified.
Admission
The admission is done by NTA's CUET (PG) exams. Based on the score in the respective paper(for my course- Disaster studies), rank list will be provided. Depending on the availability of seats, 3 merit list for provisional admission will be out and if the seats are yet to be filled, they will call for open admissions.
Faculty
I'm studying in Port Blair Campus. Compared to the low number of students, the students to faculty ratio is great. We have 6 teaching faculties who are really experienced in their own respective subjects. Moreover the interaction of these faculties with students are impressive. Plus they are approachable at anytime.
