Pondicherry University will hold an Open Spot Admission for various UG courses like BTech, BA, BSc, and BVA Painting. The counselling will take place at the respective departments of the university’s Puducherry Campus, Karaikal Campus, or Community College (Puducherry) on either October 28, 2024 or October 29, 2024 between 10 AM to 12 PM.
Admission of the candidates will be based on merit/ranking and the reservation category. Candidates selected in the open spot counselling will be required to pay the requisite fees immediately.

Pondicherry University Open Spot Admission 2024 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission, candidates must have passed in class 12 with the relevant subjects with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories are eligible with a mere pass or at least 45% aggregate marks for some courses.
Pondicherry University Open Spot Admission 2024 Admission Preferences
Candidates will be admitted based on merit from those who report for the available vacancies, following these preferences:
- Preference 1: Candidates who have appeared in the CUET (UG) 2024 for the respective UG program and meet the eligibility criteria.
- Preference 2: Candidates who have not appeared in the CUET (UG) but fulfil the eligibility criteria.

- X Std or equivalent certificate/mark statement along with age proof.
- H. Sc. or equivalent certificate/mark statement.
- OBC with Non-Creamy Layer certificate/EWS certificate recently issued (ie., Issued after 31 March 2024) by the competent authority, in case of OBC/EWS candidates respectively.
- SC/ST/PH Certificate from the competent authority as applicable.
- Migration/Transfer certificate
- Conduct certificate from the institution last studied.
