The admission process is different for the different courses that are available at SMVEC. The steps to be followed for each course is mentioned below:
For B.Tech
- The aspirant first needs to register for the CENTAC online
- After registration, a merit list (on the basis of 10+2 marks) will be prepared by CENTAC and ranks will be allotted accordingly
- Candidates will be offered admission on the basis of the rank obtained in the CENTAC merit list
- For aspirants who wish to get admission under Management Quota, the Common Entrance Test for Pondicherry Private Engineering Colleges (CETPPEC) is compulsory.
For M.Tech
- Aspirants have to appear for the GATE entrance exam
- CENTAC PG prepares a merit list based on the marks obtained in the GATE entrance exam
- Ranks are allotted accordingly to offer admissions to students
- For the Non-GATE candidates, seats are allotted on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying degree
For MBA
- Aspirants need to register for CENTAC PG online.

I was got application from rajiv gandhi college but i was like to learn here for placement it is easy to develop my skill No i don't got any rejection so i was not speak about that The eligibility is above 70% and any exam is accepted above 76% cutoffs

- College has an amazing library where you can sit and study till 9 at night. Postings are held everyday for six days a week and there is a good patient load
- Regular weekly internal assessments are conducted. This makes sure that the topics studied well and if you get less than 50 percent in any exam, then they will ruin your life, and due to that frustration you will study.
Dislikes
- Hostel rules are pathetic. Both for boys and girls. I am in girls hostel so i will speak on its behalf. You can not come and stay in your room in between classes, if you want to or if you are sick. You can not leave the campus for anything at anytime
- General atmosphere is very back dated. Boys and girls should never be seen talking. If some staff sees you, they will click picture and send it to the authorities and they will suspend you from college!
Admission:
Eligibility is through neet examination. A person needs to appear neet, qualify it, apply for CENTAC (Pondicherry University website for MBBS), and then according to the marks, will be allotted a seat in any of the medical colleges that come under Pondicherry University. Time taken is usually more than the other states, I was in the COVID-19 batch, and they took around 3 months to finish their counseling and provide me with a college.

The addmission process for me is management and there was no Interview or any addmission tests and simply It's based on Higher and Secondary Education performance and when we get addmission through management we need to pay a certain amount as Donation.
