Likes

Scholarships were available to students who scored first few ranks in the entrance exams, which were a great deal of help to them also, there are internships available through our mentors which is of great help.
Faculty are very good they teach well and they are very experienced with experience of 20 years, and fests happens every month and facilities are very good here like gym gardens library etc and place is very good
There are so many clubs like dance club, science club, maths club, etc and main beauty of the campus are very green and freedom of entry and exit anytime.

Dislikes

Firstly conduction of the entrance was very poor by nta.
At last the canteens. the foods of the canteens are ok but sometimes it too worst
I had a plan to do phd too but due to the academic stress and low facilities that this university is providing, i started to lose my interest on the subject.

Likes

Understanding of professors in all the departments
The time curfew is not there for anybody
The rooms of the hostel are good here in the campus

Dislikes

The mess food is not good compared to other universities
The language problem arises for North Indians
The food outside is also very minimal than the city

The course is good in pondicherry University as all the professors are very well educated and good degree holders. They help you in personal level as well. The curriculum is perfectly curated with all the fields required in bioinformatics.

Bioinformatics at Pondicherry university

Likes

Infrastructure of the department, the labs , the classes and faculty
The happening campus life , with lot of activities to do.
The location of the university-, the opposite to the university is the beach.

Dislikes

The mess food which is average and have no variety
The compulsion to dine in the mess only for all students

Placement Experience:

There is placement in the campus, various companies visit the campus for placement, placement are more in management department and economics department. Particularly in Bioinformatics there is very less placement but it's there and some students get recruited for bioinformatics company and most of students prefer going for research so placement is not a concern

MSC bioinformatics in pondicherry University

Likes

Campus life is good with different people. Exposure to variety of customs and traditions.
A big central library and reading space for students 24/7 is great for those who need a place to study peacefully
Several shops are located inside the campus including canteens, stationary shops, Xerox shops, food and juice stalls etc, so no need to search for anything from outside

Dislikes

Language barrier if you are stepping outside from the campus, then it is difficult to roam if you don't understand tamil
Mobile network issues are there and also campus wifi facility sucks more often
Plenty of student unions are there which will only divide the students more and more based on different criteria.

Placements are average. The major companies are located in and around tamilnadu which bounds the students to work in the same place. Some companies offer internships which are paid and based on the performance they will retain you by offering the employment

Enriching Campus Experience

Likes

Pondicherry University's green and lively campus provided a conducive atmosphere for learning and social interactions.
Interacting with students from different states broadened perspectives and enriched the overall educational experience.
The university's location near the beach offered a relaxing retreat and recreational opportunities for students.

Dislikes

Involvement in campus politics tainted the academic environment and created a negative atmosphere for students.
The substandard quality of food in the mess facilities was a recurring issue and affected the overall satisfaction of students.
The lack of efficient bus services made commuting challenging for students, especially those living off-campus, impacting their daily routines.

Life at Pondicherry University

Likes

Campus environment is good. beach-side campus, relaxing and soothing with nature all around.
Diverse people. We get to know each others culture and traditions and make connections.
Academics are the best. They are friendly and supportive through-out the course.

Dislikes

Mobile network is horrible. Apart from airtel and bsnl nothing works properly
Student unions protest for matters irrelevant to the students which will hinder the academics in the campus
Mess food is not upto the mark. It should be improved

Placements are provided. Average package - 2.5 lacs per annum If placements are not pleasing then one has to go out on their own and approach companies of their interest to work. Moreover, getting placed in the campus placement is good according to me so that we will gain some experience and move on for better oppurtunities.

I Have complited my MBA from Distance in year 2021 but i received mu mark sheet and certificate with wrone name. Insted of my name they have put my father's name. So even after sending mails of like 26 times and sending DD of Rs 1100/- they have not done anything and there is no reply in mail and no one oiks up the call. I am so frustrated and loosing hope. I really dont know when this will be corrected..
