Involvement in campus politics tainted the academic environment and created a negative atmosphere for students.
The substandard quality of food in the mess facilities was a recurring issue and affected the overall satisfaction of students.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum of the course I opted is comprehensive and challenging as it is a Mix of all other disciplines like genomics, statistics, programming languages along with maths, physics and chemistry. Mid-exams are conducted monthly to check the performance of students.

Class Size : 55Course Fees : INR 30000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Internship opportunities at Pondicherry University vary each year and are often provided by a range of companies across different sectors. Some of the companies that have offered internships in the past include Federal Bank, Barclays, HSBC, Allen, and TCS. These internships typically cover a variety of roles, such as finance, marketing, human resources, and IT.

Placement Experience :

In my college, placements mainly occur for MBA students, with some opportunities for computer science students. However, for other departments, placements are not typically offered, and students need to explore other avenues for employment after completing their course.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tuition fee varies pe semester. So in total for 4 semesters it costs around 40000 excluding mess and hostel fees. Placements are there but still need improvement a the companies approaching are not mandatorily from the same domain. Scholarship benefits are provided as similar to any govt colleges

Campus Life :

In my experience with campus life, the social aspects were vibrant and diverse, offering a range of opportunities for students to engage and interact. There were several annual festivals and events that added excitement and cultural richness to campus life.The library was well-equipped with a wide range of books, journals, and online resources, making it a valuable academic hub for students. The accessibility of these resources was facilitated by a user-friendly cataloging system and helpful library staff.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel rooms typically include basic furniture such as a bed, study table, chair, and wardrobe. Some hostels may also provide additional amenities like a bookshelf, lamp, or bedside table. Rooms usually have natural light and ventilation, and some may have attached bathrooms, while others might have shared facilities

Hostel Fee : INR 20000 per year

Admission :

First I applied for CUET entrance test through which I applied for Bioinformatics in pondicherry University based on my score and rank in entrance test. CUET is a national wide exam which helps to get enrolled in central universities of India. Cut-off will be high and reservation helps for those who can avail as the seats for each course are alloted based on categories.

My Experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course I'm studying is Disaster Management. The course structure is perfect with knitting our knowledge in disasters both in scientific aspects as well as social aspects. The GIS course is really appreciative as this will be further useful fo us students as a future disaster manager. Though the field practices are less, we will be having a project only semester during our last sem.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is good, matching with international standards. NEP 2020 is also followed in this campus. As this is matching international standards mean that it is good for future also. Teacher will teach with power point presentations and you have to give power point presentation for internal assessment and monthly test evaluation will be done. Internal examination value is 40% and end semester value is 60%. If you studied well you will score good. Average marking is 8.2 CGPA in department of Biotechnology.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus is very light for applied psychology in this university. There are only 3 semesters which have written exams. The last semester is just project and viva.One factor i liked about the curriculum is that in the third semester we can choose our specialty based on our interests.there are 3 options counselling clinical and industrial psychology.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course which I chose had a lot of relevance in the filed of evolving man health. Also the soft courses provided by the department was fabulous. Teachers and Lab facilities are also well equipped. The difficulty of the exams corresponds to the way one should improve themselves.
