- Strong faculty: vssut is reputed for its experienced faculty members who are often experts in their respective fields.
- The college also organises fest which also is a good source of enjoyment and bliss.
- Campus employment opportunities are quite good.vssut provide internship opportunities along with good support from professors also.scholarship facilities are also provided for reserved castes and for general category also who are eligible.
Dislikes
- Hostel facilities are not so good and the food is also of low quality which is very difficult to eat.
- The hostel and mess. there is corruption in the mess. the mess secretaries are given money to stop students for complaining.
- The conditions of mess and hostel have been worse and it's been degrading day by day. this could have been better.

- I liked the placement ratio ,the amount of companies come for the placement cell .
- The classroom study is on the top level . And the labs are well organised.
- In our college the technical society and sports society are pretty much active and conquer good height in national level.
Dislikes
- I disliked a small thing about our campus it should have many more infrastructures .
- The hostel mess was not that good in some of the residence.
- The typical senior junior interaction was not there

From 7th sem all students are eligible to the placement but having no active backlog.
Maruti suzuki ,jsw,tata powers ,TES,LnT, adani enterprises,etc
Highest avarage packed is given by maruti suzuki of 10 to 11 lakhs and average is 8 lakhs
About 91 percent student are placed.
My plans after getting degree is to get a good placement

- The first thing I liked is the entrace gate of my college.
- The second is the campus. Which is quite big.
- And also the classrooms are very big with smartboards.
Dislikes
- My hostel is a little bit far from college. It takes about 20 minutes to reach college from hostel by walking.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course is OK. but u will feel bored reading those because those are all from other branches and not from ur own branch. So sometimes u might feel like why are we studying this, this not even belong to my branch. But u can't help it. U just have to study and pass the first sem with good grades.

- The College infrastructure is quite descent. The classroom has enough space for about 100 students. In our Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Department about 180 students are studying in our batch.
- The laboratory is the actual place where everyone is curious to know and learn about various instruments and how to operate them.There is also wi-fi available in our laboratory. There is also library available in our college.
- The teachers were very supportive and helpful. They are always ready to give advice us about our academic as well as personal life. They also visit our hostel often time and help us clearing our doubts. The teaching quality is very good.
Dislikes
- The labs are not modernized. There are old instruments which doesn't work properly. So, sometimes it gives error even though we do our experiments in the right way. There is no proper playground area near our hostel.
- So, students are not getting much exposure to sports activities. Another big problem is the hostel food. We don't get enough food for improvement of our health and also the hygiene of the food is also very bad.

From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are about 900 students in our batch,from which about 50% to 60% students get campus placement. Average package offered in our course is about 3,00,000 to 4,00,000. Students of core branches like Electrical, Mechanical and Electronics get package about 11,00,000 to 12,00,000. Tata, Hyundai and JSW are top recruiting companies in our college. Students from our college are doing internships in DRDO, Tata and other companies. They even get manager roles in the companies.
My aim is to get a job in chip manufacturing companies like Marquee Semiconductor , Nvidia etc.

From 7th semester students get eligible for campus placements. While some others get Pre Placement Offers.
MCL, TCS and several other companies give placements here.
More than 75 students gets placed every year.
After getting my degree I would persue my master's degree.

The placement record are great compared to other colleges in its league.In my branch electrical engineering the placement record is as follows: the average salary is 7 lakhs per annum and maximum can go upto 17 lakhs per annum.

- The campus is beautiful it has trees all around which give a good nature vibe.
- There are all sports facilities such as swimming pool and indoor badminton courts.
- Classes are well equipped with smart boards for quality teaching.

- There are no lifts in the college so one have to go by stairs to the 2nd floor.
- The field is not well maintained stones and dust are all over the field.
- Bathrooms in the college rarely have water in the taps.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum here is very focused on the overall development of the student in one semester of the first year this college offers a subject named ETW( English for Technical writing) hich helps the students to improve their speaking as well as writing skills in Englih. The faulty here try their best to make the student understand and help them grow.

- To work in a team .to lead as a captain.how to pass a paper with one night study.stress management which is one of the most important thing in life .to relieve stage fear.to convince people to do something for us or me
Dislikes
- If u r staying in hostel there there is a word 'rag'.if u from 1st yr then there is no rag in the hostel as it's isolated from the senior,but there u will find more terrible situations like in the bathroom, toilet, kitchen etc.
- Labs in the university are not well-equipped. Placement scenario is not that much awesome.if u r from a city/town it is unbearable on your part to stay there for first few months.

I want to become a civil engineering.thats a dream of my family and also mine .a curriculum is designed to equip your students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in future academic pursuits and in life beyond school.

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness ,our curriculum gives a wide spectrum and Good placement which inspires me to take up Chemical engineering.
The robotics lab need to be more focused on.
The frequency should be more of the exams as to not face difficulty in the important exams

- Course Affordability comes first. The hostel facilities included in my point.
- Club and society cultures were well developed
- Students trying their best in technical fields.
Dislikes
- Laboratories and the equipments are outdated
- The teaching style of some teachers were limited to ppts
- The State highway is next to college, hence it makes it accident prone.
Placement Experience:
The placement cell is newly made and well maintained from inside to outside. But unfortunately, for the ETC branch, it's terrible for the last year. Coding companies came in bulk, but there is a very rare sign of core companies. Almost 70 percent of students from the ETC branch were placed.
Average didn't touched exactly 4lpa this year. In total around 72 percent students get placed and most of them obviously coding based companies. If you want to get high package then improve your skills on your own and try to get placement off campus.

Here is a detailed review of the Electrical Engineering Department of VSSUT Burla based on my friend experience who is an alumnus of the same
- VSSUT is among the top colleges in the state and Electrical Engineering is one of the best branches.
- The branch offers a tremendous learning scope with decent lab facilities.
- The branch has a decent number of permanent faculty.
- VSSUT placement scenario however is not that good although it’s better compared to other top colleges in the state.
- The M.Tech students are asked to supervise labs which isn’t a good practice because they are mostly fresh out of engineering colleges and lack expectations
Electrical Engineering from VSSUT is a good choice if you are interested in the field and are willing to invest extra effort in your studies.
