Course Curriculum Overview
For me the course I chose was my wish. This course gives better opportunities in semiconductor industry and several other sectors related to both electrical and electronics fields This curriculum prepares us for real world applications by improving our Personality and focusing on our every academic developments. This course should focus more on practical applications of devices. After the first 3 months of semester start mid sem exams are conducted and later after three months end semester exams are conducted.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester students get eligible for campus placements. While some others get Pre Placement Offers. MCL, TCS and several other companies give placements here. More than 75 students gets placed every year. After getting my degree I would persue my master's degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly tuition fees is for odd semester for regular day scholar for NTFW is 17750 and for TFW is 11750 and for SSC students is 41750. Yearly Tuition fees for even semester for regular day scholar for NTFW student is 11900 and for TFW students is 5900 for SSC is 32500. The fees doesn't increase increase and remains the same until graduation. Total hostel charges for 1st year including all the one time fees was 48000 but in further semesters or years the hostel charges will decrease. The college offers every government approved scholarship schemes.
Campus Life
Samavesh and IEEE day are celebrated as a whole and there are some other fests varying from branch to branch. Maximum fests are organised in the second half of the year. All classes are equipped with smart boards and internet connection. The library has over 50000 physical books and numerous ebooks are also available. Sports fest is organised every year with several competitions organised.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is good except the lifts are not in working condition. Mesh food is good and has varities every week. Hostel is very affordable. Hostel facility is opted at the time of admission and the fees is paid along with college fees
Admission
I didn't apply for any other college. This college has better infrastructure and better placements as compared to several other colleges in state. A Student should be atleast 12th pass or have a diploma degree to get admission. The college accepts students only through JEE and OJEE entrance exams. The cutoffs are pretty high for better courses.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio here is 1:20 and faculties are highly qualified, the student teacher relationship is very nice, faculties are available for any doubts or problems during the college hours. I liked every faculties some are very nice and have friendly nature while some have some bit of strict nature. We give a total of 4 theory exams and 2 practical exams for each subjects which comprise a total of 2000 marks.
Night Life
Night life is good. Several restaurants and cafes are here to hangout in evening. Hostel entry time here is 7:30pm. Right Dyke, Left Dyke, Zero Point, Samaleswari Temple, Ghanteswari Temple and many more are there to visit.
