All about OUAT

Likes

Lecturers are nice ,helpful as well as the college management is quite thoughtful when it comes to matters related to studies.
If one is socially free then definitely can make a lot of friends
Time table list for exams is released at the start of the year which is quite helpful.

Dislikes

The infrastructure needs improvement, college management can do better.
There is shortage of permanent lecturers.
Labs can be improved and more apparatus is needed.

The curriculum is according to CBSH syllabus,New Delhi. The syllabus can include more practicals. And also the availability of instruments should be there to do practicals individually. The exams are normal ...but the time given can change sometimes due to external factors that might shift the exam dates.

Likes

I liked the course and the job opportunities it provides.
The faculties are very talented and supportive.
There are lots of conferences and national level training programmes occurs in the college.

Dislikes

The campus size is small.It should be a little large.

Placement Experience:

After completing the course you will be a veterinary doctor. There is an exam called OPSC VAS which occurs after the release of vacant posts in the state. The passed students are posted in the veterinary dispensaries as VAS . Previous year 95% of students were posted. Students can also go for pg in the college. Provision of stipend is there for pg students which is ?10000.

Teachers are really friendly and they help you at any time.
Campus has developed a lot with wifi facilities and well equipped class room
There is also canteen so that students can have food easily

Dislikes

Smart classes need to be more improvised as per new system
Students should be exposed to more conferences happening outside the college
More faculties should be hired for better running of institute.

My College CBSH

Our college had a small garden inside its premises and I liked it the most.
My college had a very friendly environment and I learnt many things during this time.
There were excellent facilities in Math, Chemistry and Biology. I felt confident after I finished their classes and most faculties were friendly also.

Dislikes

Placement was really poor. It was only for Computer Science honours students. We didn't get a chance to sit in a placement session.
Infrastructure was average and there was no college field for sports.
College election was very nasty as local people were also involved during that time.

Placement Experience:

Placement was really poor in CBSH. Only students honours like Computer Science got chance to sit in a placement session , which began from nearly the 2nd year half yearly exam. I know only two of the companies who visited my college and they were TCS and WIPRO. Highest package was around 2.5lakhs pa and average package was around 1.8- 2 lakhs pa. Only a few students got selected but not everyone joined. My plan was very simple which was to prepare for the Civil Services.

There is good infrastructure and lab activities
Faculties are experienced and helpful towards students
All over india projects, research and development work are conducted

Dislikes

Poor placement cell organization among student as well as authority
Hostel facility are not up to the mark, regarding food and hygiene
Many departments are having less faculties due to which study is hampered a lot

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester of undergraduate and 3rd semester of postgraduate student are eligible fir campus. But the number of companies come to take agriculture student are very less which is disappointing. Mahindra company comes which gives the highest package upto 6 lakh. Other ngo like pradan also comes. About 30% student get placement My plans are for civil service after my course

All the slides are quite informative for the exams

Veterinary life at ouat

There are many departments like 18 departments . Every dept has It's own value for animal treatment
The syllabus is very oriented also the college provides many opportunities to show your talent in cocoricular activities like dramatics and sports.
Teaching staff are well experienced and are very good in their field

Dislikes

Campus size and infrastructure is somehow underwhelming.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The whole ug course comprises of 5 professional years. Out of which the final year is solely for internship purpose. Different subjects are taught in different years. 3rd year is considered to be the most difficult year to clear others are relatively easier . There are 3 internals in whole year and at the end there is external paper which consist of theory and practical paper each of which carries 100 marks.
