17 Sep, 2025 Utkal University Bhubaneswar PG Fee structure for AY 2025-26 has been released. The Academic Fee is ₹ 5,146 -₹ 8 Lakhs.

Utkal University Bhubaneshwar is a State University established in 1943 and located in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. The College has been ranked 23 by The Week in 2024 under overall category. The university has been approved and accredited by UGC, NAAC and AICTE. It was established by Dr. Rajendra Prasad (First President of India). There are more than 576 affiliated colleges.

It offers various courses at UG & PG level, with MBA being the flagship programs of the University. Admission to MBA courses are based on national level entrance exams such as CAT/MAT/GMAT, etc followed by an interview. The first year fees of an MBA course is INR 36,535 - INR 4.0 lakhs. It also offers various UG courses such as B.ed, B.Pharma, etc. Admission to all the courses at UG level is generally based on entrance exams and merit such as OJEE, University level entrance test, etc.

I appreciate our college infrastructure and college background and playground and computer labs etc.
Our faculty's are very friendly and his/her teaching methods are very unique and his/her mentorship is very useful our future life.
Many companies come to our college for placement.

Dislikes

Our college don't provide smart classroom for every branch.
Our college mainly focused on theory based knowledge rather than practical based.

Student view on course curriculum

Computer science course give many technical job opportunities. Our college should organized fest, curricular activities and women's day celebrations etc. There are two semesters and two internal in one year.

Internship opportunity provided by the college

There are many companies like wipro, tata groups etc, came in our college and offered very good internship wit well stipend. Our college organized many projects in every year in our campus like science projects, website development, different types of machines etc

Placement provided by the college and package

From 4th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies like wipro, Tcs, cognizant,tata groups,dilotte etc.gives good opportunities and gives good offers like amount 8lpa, 10lpa etc. 99 percentage of students getting placements. After I getting degree searching for high package job opportunities.

Yearly fees structure and scholarship

I pay 120000 per year. Tuition fees=80000, registration fees=1500, Admission fees=10000, Lab fees =5000, Development fees=5000. My batchmates fees is same as mine. Our college provides various scholarship like post matrix, krishi vidya nedhi yajona etc.

Annual fest and various activity in the campus

Our college organized annual functions and technical feast in every year in our campus. A big library situated in our college and different types of books are available in their library. Our college is very big like 7 floors are situated their classrooms are very big , neat and clean in every moment. Our college arranges sports and extracurricular activities in our campus in every year in the months of February and march. There are many clubs and social groups in our college and every student can join this group like a member.

Hostel facilities provided by the college

Our hostel rooms are very good and clean and comfortable place. Our college food menu is decided by students and food quality is very well. Registration process for hostel occurs in college admission.

Student views on the faculty

Our college faculty is very good relationship with every students and also support in every situations. I like Bishnu sir, Divyasa mam and Rajesh sir,Madhusmita mam and Rachita mam. Because they communicate very friendly and teaching methods is very well., I don't like Dona mam, Priyadarshini mam and Herian sir. Because there teaching is very very bad, There are two semesters and two internal.

I chose this college because it is near to my home and this college is very well in other colleges because their teaching style is very unique, the college gives good placements and their faculties are very friendly.

Night Life

There are 2 gym, 3 cafeterias, 2 library and other Grosory stores near our college. Hostel timing is 8:00am-8:00pm and campus timing is 9:00am-10:00pm. Famous hangout place is playground, garden etc inside in our college and parks, sai temple, cafeterias etc outside in our college.

The campus is really nice, and the overall atmosphere is great. The college offers great sports facilities and encourage to participation in various activities.
Not sure about the exact ratio of girls to boys, but overall, the gender balance seems normal.

Admission:

I applied to RMD Degree College, but got admitted to PN College in the second round. I choose PN College because it offer great facilities like sports, a library, scholarships, hostels and a low admission fee. The autonomous status and the convenient location also made it stand out. Other college didn't offer the same resources , which influenced my decision. The admission process is simple: you pay the fee online and submit the receipt at college. The eligibility requires 60% marks, and the cut-off is around 60%. The expericence was smooth and straightforward.

This is the only govt college in Odisha for b pharm, so as I had secured a good rank so I chose this. There are other good colleges like salepur, Roland , Dadhichi etc.. DD is Mandatory in admissions. U have make dds for the process to documents should be proper.

It is an all science subject college, hence all the teachers are very much into academic growth and personality development. I applied for another college but due to high cut off I wasn't chosen, but the cut offs of Stewart science college was merely perfect for me and so was the environment. To get admission into our college, one has to enroll in SAMS app and fill the required details and wait for the merit list.

I applied in Ravenshaw university and Stewart College before I got into christ college. To be honest I chose the college as per my marks scored in 12th. Yes, I got rejected from Ravenshaw university as my mark was lower than the cut off. Admission process is smooth and offline and you've to pay the course fee then and there. If you're scoring above 73% then u are safe to get into Christ college I'd say.

You have to contact the respective department. One of my friends who was preparing for the MFC exam got all the questions from the office of the Department of Commerce. They may charge you but it is a very reasonable amount.

It also depends on whether the department is giving the questions. For example, the MBA Department does not give any question papers for certain reasons.

Can we go out of utkal university hostel in bbsr?

I have a few friends from Utkal University, who used to stay in hostels. According to them, you can go out of hostels. You need to be back before the notified time in the evening. If you need to stay out beyond the curfew time, you will have to get permission from the superintendent or the deputy superintendent. If you need to stay out of the hostel for more than one day you will have to apply through proper channel.

In case of departmental occasions like freshers’ party or annual day, you can stay out late. An application forwarded by the departmental head will be enough.
