OUAT B.Sc {Hons.} Chemistry: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The College of Basic Science and Humanities (CBSH) at OUAT maintains a faculty-student ratio of about 1:70. The teaching staff is known for being friendly and supportive, helping students reach their goals. Academic assessments include two exams each year: a half-yearly and an annual exam, both of moderate difficulty. Most students achieve distinction. Placement opportunities are limited, primarily for honors students in Computer Science, starting around the second-year half-yearly exams.

Companies like TCS and WIPRO have visited, offering packages with a high of approximately 2.5 lakhs per annum and an average between 1.8 to 2 lakhs per annum. Notably, not all selected students accept these offers. The first-year admission fee is about INR 14,000, with course fees totaling INR 30,000 over the next two years. Chemistry honors students pay around INR 16,000 annually due to the non-self-financed nature of the course, while self-financed courses like Computer Science charge roughly double.

Students can apply for scholarships from the Odisha government, particularly those from SC/ST/OBC/SEBC backgrounds. Many students successfully secure these scholarships.
