Placement Experience:
After completing the course you will be a veterinary doctor. There is an exam called OPSC VAS which occurs after the release of vacant posts in the state. The passed students are posted in the veterinary dispensaries as VAS . Previous year 95% of students were posted.
Students can also go for pg in the college. Provision of stipend is there for pg students which is ?10000.

- Placement was really poor. It was only for Computer Science honours students. We didn't get a chance to sit in a placement session.

Placement was really poor in CBSH. Only students honours like Computer Science got chance to sit in a placement session , which began from nearly the 2nd year half yearly exam. I know only two of the companies who visited my college and they were TCS and WIPRO. Highest package was around 2.5lakhs pa and average package was around 1.8- 2 lakhs pa. Only a few students got selected but not everyone joined. My plan was very simple which was to prepare for the Civil Services.

From 7th semester of undergraduate and 3rd semester of postgraduate student are eligible fir campus.
But the number of companies come to take agriculture student are very less which is disappointing.
Mahindra company comes which gives the highest package upto 6 lakh.
Other ngo like pradan also comes.

- The campus Life will be very peaceful. Placement offers are newly added to the college. It was continuous process for every year.

Every year in our college provide the placement interview from the banking sectors and the agricultural sectors. Every year 4-5 companies will offer the placements. Canara bank, punjab national bank, agri seed companies are coming for placement interviews. 20-30 percent students are selected for the placement interview. Average package will be 3 lakhs per annum. In the 5th sem, every student becomes eligible for campus placement, in the 5th sem they teach us how to make a unique platform for our project, every year various types of corporate companies visit our college like Tata, Infosys, Wipro etc.

- The placement cell needs to improve. More companies need to come as OUAT is the only SAU in Orissa.

Placements come in the final year, i.e., 4th year. The average annual package is 4 LPA but students usually prepare for government exams like AAO, ASCO, Seed conservation officer, OCS, and UPSC.

OUAT is not a college, it is a university. It has many colleges affiliated with it. So, the placement opportunities vary from one institution to another. For Agricultural courses, like BSc AG, MSc AG, and AG Tech there are good placement opportunities. Foresty Colleges also offer good placements.
However, for self-finance courses like MCA, Agri-Business Management, Bio-Informatics in OUAT, you may have to struggle a bit to get placements.
