Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is okay , can be better Faculty is nice and are approachable to much extent and every teacher is different from each other ,so cannot be compared. There are 3 term exams and two are taken and last annual exam in every year , but now in semester system pattern can be changed . Few students fail due to their less attendance than 75% and some due to less marks . The course curriculum is relevant to the greater extent.

'Vet night' is the only mega event celebrated in the month of April on the occasion of world veterinary day. Before this event a whole week is marked as vet week during which different competitions and events take place. All the events are organised by the VETERINARY SOCIETY. Apart from this , VIBGYOR week is also celebrated which is organised by kaizen vet society (a society runned by students). The college has there own library but students prefer to go to the university library which is much more better than the former one . Coming to the sports activities, it is mostly organised at the university level . You can actively participate in them.

The yearly fees accounts for around 110000, which includes ?57000 tuition fees, ?40000 annual food charge, ?2500 CCF, ?1500 water and electricity, ?1000 medical facilities and ?600 for hostel room etc... There are also options of payment seats, in which other then annual fee, the student has to give ?500000 donation every year if he/she belongs to other state... There are scholarship facilities like NSP, income, etc which students can avail and lead to their reduction in tuition fees... There are reservation seats for Jammu and Kashmir students which can be availed through PM scheme in which whole tuition fees is forgiven and the student has to give only the hostel and other curricular charges...

Faculty

As the number of students are increasing every year so the faculty to student ratio is less but is handsomely manageable...the faculty members are really supportive and are always working positively for students for their betterment... Dr. Munish Batra sir in dept of pathology and Dr. R. Huozha in dept of physiology and biochemistry, I love them personally due to their positive charming nature... We have an yearly system so there are 3 internal exams conducted, out of which best 2 are counted with 2 external exams...The level of paper ranges from medium to high but it is usually easy to attain good grades. The course curriculum follows the VCI guidelines and is very much relevant to the profession

Faculty

94 student batch is devided into 3 groups for lab experience. Mostly professors are experienced. Theory classes are good but labs are not so well developed. Lack of equipments for large number of students so they becomes crowded . Exam includes 3 internals and 1 external per year, for internal , 2 are important to attend.

Internships Opportunities

Almost everyone gets job after this degree, but job depends upon placement status. If you prepare for government exams you will receive good salary but joob will be on outskirts.private jobs are also good including field work starting from 40,000. Job opportunities are many but schedule is hectic.

Faculty

30 students per faculty. Faculty -student relationship is very good and faculty always helps the students. In my personal opinion I like Dr. Jyoti Palod ma'am , professor, LPM. She is really supporting and helping professor and other professors are also excellent in their field. Exams are moderate and 1-3 students get fail. Course curriculum is nice.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course primarily due to its emphasis on [specific aspects of the curriculum, e.g., hands-on projects, interdisciplinary approach, etc.]. These elements align closely with my interests and career goals, particularly in [specific field of veterinary science ].

Faculty

The faculty is on a lower end running on only 48% of necessary teachers. But they try their best to give the necessary education to the students. Some teachers are bad at having conversations with the students but most of them are very easily accessible and always help students in their needs! Each year has 3 internal assessments of 40 marks each and then a final exam of every subject. The internal assessments are of 40 marks having the weightage of 10 marks. Only the best 2 of the three internals are considered. The final exams have 2 theory papers of 100 marks and 2 practicals of 60 marks each. The 100 marks paper have a weightage of 40 and the practicals have a weightage of 40 marks. The total 100 marks are thus achieved. Also result is given on GPA basis.

Campus Life

The university has 2 major fests. One being Spandan which is more of a social gatherings festival and the other one is Indradhanush which is for the innovations from the students. There are many sports events celebrated throughout the year. The cricket tournament, football tournament, sports week and also event weeks. There is a wildlife enthusiasts club, the International Veterinary Students Association, etc. The social life is buzzing with interactions with seniors amd juniors.

Campus Life

Annual function, Foundation days, Important festivies are held in the college. It is not that grand yet not that bad too. The central Library gives accesses to almost every curriculum books. It has various other books too for refreshment and knowledge gain. Classroom are air conditioned and smart board with stair arrangement bench desk are available. No issues. Events are held in almost sports starting from cricket to BGMI.This can be inter batch or inter college. Campaigns are held in important days. The NSS Unit takes care of this. Horse riding and NCC related tasks are also done.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is vast and exhaustive(5.5 years) out of which 4 yrs are for studies and 1 year for rotating internship. It is one of the safe and good option for students looking as back-up for neet exam.U will find many similarities with human body. Additionally, u will get dr designation at the end of curriculum.. So overall a good course to pursue. Veterinary science is not as prominent as medical sciences in the country..Yet it is gaining importance nowadays. Its importance is growing rapidly.
