Course Curriculum Overview
Seminar and exhibition are conducted on a wide level which can influence any student towards entrepreneurship and job. Inclusive growth is the main objective of these curriculum which prepare student for work life. Teaching method can be improved by more practical study more conceptual study and also interactive way of study.
Internships Opportunities
We do a RAWE program under each block of odisha under the agriculture officer and block development officer. This is our internship and we get stipend of 12000 For this work. We get to know the ground level tasks which are quite helpful in our jobs
Placement Experience
From 7th semester of undergraduate and 3rd semester of postgraduate student are eligible fir campus. But the number of companies come to take agriculture student are very less which is disappointing. Mahindra company comes which gives the highest package upto 6 lakh. Other ngo like pradan also comes. About 30% student get placement My plans are for civil service after my course
Fees and Financial Aid
There is semester fees system... Odd semester we pay about 30,000 and even semester about 12000. All other lab fees and development fees are included in this. No compensation for reservation students. All pay equally. Sc, st and pwd student get different scholarship like medhabruti and kalia yojana And general student who are top rank get merit Scholarship.
Campus Life
Fests and technology grp activities are done along with annua function near february to march. There is a wide range of journal and book available in library fir the student reference. Classroom have ac and digital board which is best fir student. Sports day, annual meets, meets with other university across India are conducted.
Hostel Facilities
Rooms are generally 4 and 3 seated, quite spacious and comfortable. Meal quality is not that great but they have a variety of menu which keeps changing according to month. Hostel registration is done in hostel office only and 18000 for each semester which account to 2000 per month which is affordable. Pg and rented house are expensive with comparison to hostel
Admission
I did my graduation from this college only and so i was comfortable with the faculties the exam. Pattern so i decided to go for post grad from ouat only. I secured rank 5 in the entrance and also rank 25 in all india JRF to get into this stream. Once u secure rank in ouat entrance u get intimation letter for counselling and there u come and choose ur stream as per ur rank and availability of seats and get admission.
Faculty
Faculties are great with students and quite helpful.. Its just that.. Due to less number of faculties workload on them. Is more and the work between student and faculty gets hampered. Dr. Markandeya mahapatra sir, Dr. Ambika sir from dept of SWCE are one of the most helpful and kind faculties i have seen. Each semester there is one midterm exam and one semester exam. Semester exam question are set by external and are little tough and conceptual.
Night Life
There is no such cafeteria kind of thing as it is a govt college. But library and sports Complex and other recreation zone are really good. Girls entry time is 7-8 pm And boys have no entry time. Hang out places are.. Chai cafes, cafe 93 , dominos, and street food joints, momo stalls
