Each course is well designed keeping in mind of the advances in the respective fields and the placements having a average package of 7lakhs. ~ Abhay Rampure, B.Com {Hons.}
The university is a great place to network with more than 25000 students on the campus. The 8 departments in the university organize inter-departmental programs. ~ Archita Garg, BALLB {Hons.}
Boy girl radio is around 40 to 60 with boys being 40 and girls being 60 ~ Vivian Joseph, BBA
Dislikes
Placements were alright not the best mostly Averagimg 4Lpa so the ROI wasn't really there. ~ Cyril Christopher, B.Tech
The college is too strict with attendance,if a student’s attendance is below 85 he has to pay a fine of ?5000,?3000 and ?2000 and if the student has a less than 75% attendance then he/she is detained which is very wrong ~ Abhinaba Bhuyan, BA
Very strict in terms of attendance. Fine is charged if attendance is below 85percent and if attendance is below 75 percent those students are not allowed to write the exams ~ Bhavya Rajpal, B.Com {Hons.}
Why To Join Christ University Bangalore - Reviews & Rating
I loved the course structure and the internship opportunities that we need to do after a year
Campus engagement is top notch everyday we get new opportunities to work for and different fests
Placement service they are working on for psychology other courses they have great opportunity
Dislikes
The strictness that is there but also helped us to build our CV and profile
Student Snaps:
Placement Experience:
After 1year students are eligible to do internships in which we have a placement cell which help us a lot in our professional education and finding good internships and exposure in medical field plus we have a faculty that helps us to train ourselves for the field and how to work in that order itself
The campus is beautiful, and situated at the heart of Bangalore, there is a lot of exposure.
Infrastructure is reasonably good, and general maintenance is excellent
Campus life is very busy, with about 40 different events happening at any given point of time.
Dislikes
Faculty is mediocre at best, at worst, I could try teaching the class and would probably do better
A draconian focus on "discipline": restricitve dress codes and an unrealistic attendance requirement (85%).
Despite the global exposure, much of the faculty in my department is stuck at eary 2000's ideals and ideas for what a BSc in computer science would get the degree holder in terms of prospects.
Placement Experience:
Placement starts from 5th or 6th semester. Deloitte and DE Shaw seem to be frequent visitors. The highest anyone went in my course was about 16 lpa. The averahe hovers around 3 to 5 lpa. Placement percentages are bleak. I plan to pursue a master's after getting my degree.
This university is very diverse has people from all around the world and thus i love the diversity.
We have very amazing lab facilities and the lab assistant as well as the faculties are always ready to help us
The clubs and social events which makes sure that we grow as a social being as well and not only academics
Dislikes
Sometimes it seems like we have alot of work in terms of assignments and exams
Attendance is so strict that sometimes we have to force ourselves to go inspite of being sick
Dress code is very strict and sometimes we have to return back from the gate only because of this
Course Curriculum Overview:
The exams and our course are indeed difficult but the way it is been taught in our classes help us alot.
For every core paper we have labs where we get to perform experiments after we are made to learn about it.
The course offers wide range of knowledge not only focusing on the core idea
The library timings is awesome and a student can borrow 2 books at a time for 21 days .
Fest and events hosted by various committees within the university. Placements and career scope is really good .
Discipline and well mannered as well as cooperative faculty members to guide students .
Dislikes
The attendance rate is 85% which is a bit high i feel .
Strict dress code including wearing tie, perfect formal shoes, rolled up sleeves .
Most colleges follow 4 continuous hours of college, Christ follows 4 hours then a break and then 2 hours .
Student Snaps:
Course Curriculum Overview:
My course which is BSC in Mathematics teaches the students about the concepts of real analysis and mathematical modeling which made me decide to choose this course the curriculum prepares us for real-time application by giving internships in companies and further academic pursuits by providing the students with research in a specific field. The teaching methods and curriculum in the course is fine but need improvement like a better faculty-to-student ratio, etc. The frequency of exams in each semester is generally 3 months with medium level of difficulty.
One reason i chose christ is because of its diversity. We meet many people here and can understand many things.
Secind reason is because of the number of fests happening. Evey day something or the other will keep on happening in christ.
Made amazing friends because of which it makes the day better.
Dislikes
Since am a first year, am still balancing on who to deal between academics and other activities.
Sometimes the classes go on till 6 and it is difficult for students who reside in bangalore to go back due to heavy teaffic and as i said i gotta balance it.
Placement Experience:
Christ is known for their placements. I think normally students are eligible from 3rd year. The highest package offered is 30 lakhs.
Since i am a biotech student, i would go for higher studies by going for msc and then phd. Thats my plan.
Inclusive campus with people from around the world
Sustainable development promotion throughout the campus
High number of clubs and lots of opportunities to grow
Dislikes
Strict dress code that includes formals everyday
Very long timings ranging from six to seven hours daily
Strict attendance maintenance with over 85 percent required to write end semesters
Placement Experience:
The placements are very good compared to other colleges.
Companies like GoldmanSachs and DeShaw come for placement opportunities.
There are about 75 companies visiting offering over 200 jobs yearly.
The highest package would be 20LPA and average being 8LPA.
40 percent students get placements
I plan on sitting for placements
There is a huge opportunity to develop many essential skills such. A multitude of clubs are there where you can showcase your talents
Your ideas and innovation are welcomed. Many opportunities to recieve and share knowledge.
Something or the other promoting your holistic growth and development will occur everyday in atleast one campus. It is a huge community encouraging academics and extra curriculars.
Dislikes
There are strict rules on attendance and other aspects.
Some classes were less organised but now they are getting better
Course Curriculum Overview:
Special aspects of the curriculum that influenced me to choose the course is the availability of honours degree, encouragement of research, exposure to conferences and seminars, exposure to diverse cultures etc. Exams and assesments are well organised. There are four assessments that will contribute to one's gpa in a semester. The difficulty level is moderate to high. Recieving high marks is hard. You will have to work on projects and exams. Sometimes it gets very hectic and stressful but it trains us for real world competition and expertise.
The course structure offered for my course in Christ University is great.
They open you up to experiences that prepare you for the real professional world.
They inculcate positive values in their students.
Dislikes
The faculty members can be quite strict and brutal at times.
Management does not always co - ordinate well.
Some of the faculty members aren’t the most understanding.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Christ University's focus on the scientific aspects of Psychology was what encouraged me to join the course. The curriculum gives you as much real world exposure as possible through field visits and such. The only thing I'd change about the curriculum is the difficulty of exams. More often than not, they are at completely different level than our syllabus. Since we have exams only twice a semester it works out perfectly.
Mainly the environment over this university is really beautiful and a lot of greenery over here, and the faculties are so great.
The college is so disciplined and work with particular curriculum
This college is focuses upon holistic development of a child as well as gain how to gain confidence and all those things
Dislikes
The attendance is mandatory in the college, and if you miss like a 0.1% of your attendance, you will have to re-give that exam
In case, if you are not Indian, you are going to suffer with lot of discrimination, sometimes from few of the friend groups, mostly, but not the faculties
You have to be aware with the people over here before making friends. Just check whether they are toxic or not.
Placement Experience:
As being a I'm not aware of the placements in my college right now because it's been few years in Bangalore campus of Christ University. This biotech has started like after doing your bachelors and masters. You can go for abroad for further studies or they have exposure as well as for research and you can go for PSG and anything you can go for in the college rather than science. There are so many other departments in which you can go for.
- The campus is at its best with full of greenery around.
It ensures a safe environment for students which enhances their living at Christ.
The campus keeps us engaged and active with its extra and co-curricular activities.
Dislikes
There's too much pressure about submissions, assignments, attendance and examinations
Placement Experience:
Students will be eligible to apply for placements in their final year.
They should not have backlogs/arrears in order to sit for placements.
The instituition provides good placement opportunities.
Companies like Accenture, D.E. Shaw, EY India, PhonePe, Zomato, BCG etc. hold placement drives on-campus
