Course Curriculum Overview

3

Since i am only first year, we are just starting with practicals and stuff. I love biology thats why i chose biotechnology. Our mid sems just got over and on the day of the exam, we do not have class. The timings were pretty fine for me since we had time to revise.

Internships Opportunities

3

Being a biotechnology student, we have to find internship places on our own such as labs. But other departments provide internship opportunities to the students making it easier for them. Since i am a first year, we are yet to do our internship

Placement Experience

4

Christ is known for their placements. I think normally students are eligible from 3rd year. The highest package offered is 30 lakhs. Since i am a biotech student, i would go for higher studies by going for msc and then phd. Thats my plan.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have taken bsc biotechnology forensic and it has to be paid yearly. For thr first 3 years, i have to pay 127000 and for the fourth year which is a honours course, the fee is 160000. This is for a student who is a resident of bangalore. It is more for students who come from other states or even abroad. The registration fee was 5000

Campus Life

4

Christ is known for their fests. The main one including darpan. This is the time when the overall college becomes vibrant and on ethnic day too. There are many clubs present including csa, swo and many more. There are university teams too. We can access the library from 8 in the morning and there are 2 librarys which are huge.

Admission

I had also applied to st.josephs and was accepted there. The only reason i didnt join there was because of the distance. It was a bit too far for me.The admission process in christ takes a day. It starts with verifying your documents and details and then meeting the director and the father and then taking a picture for your id card and then ending it with making a bank account in your name.

Faculty

2.5

The faculty in my department is pretty nice except for some teachers which obviously is present in all colleges. We can approach our teachers if we have any doubts. Some teachers like partho sir and umashakar sir understand us since we are first years and there teaching method is also nice. I dont wanna name the other teachers. We have a system of Cia markings where there are 3 cias. First one is assignment and then mid sem and then end sem

It was far from my house and due to traffic, it will be very hectic.

Placement Experience:

At St Aloysius University, students typically become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onward. Reputed companies like Infosys, wipro, TCS etc have visited the campus offering multiple roles in IT services, research and analytics. The highest package has been around 7-8 LPA while the average has been around 3-4 LPA depending on the company and the profile of the student. Around 60-70% of eligible students secure placement each year

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it around 8/10 for relevance and comprehensiveness. I chose this course because it offered solid foundational subjects that aligned with my interests. The curriculum prepares students well for higher studies and provides decent exposure to lab techniques. However, for real world readiness, it could be improved. Teaching methods are mostly theory-heavy and would benefit from interactive approaches. Exams are moderately difficult and conceptual clarity and regular revision helps in scoring well.

Placement Experience:

We will be ready for placements from the 5th semester as we will be given training on interview skills in the 5th semester. There are many companies that visit colleges like PN Rao, Reliance, Tailorman, etc. There are good different profiles offered like merchandising, designing, retail with different packages offered from different companies. There is 100% placements assured from college also we get more options for interviews and companies. I got placed from college in Tommy Hilfiger after my degree.

• Only the last semester students are eligible for campus placements if any approach us. • No companies visit our campus of Interiors till I've seen. • You get a list of companies with openings from the college and you can apply on the same. • As mentioned when the college holds a program for the final years companies might choose you there based on your work.

Remarks:

Positive remarks: • The senior, junior, classmates are very helpful and cooperative. • The professors are also very helpful and concerned about our studies. Negative remarks: The authority is not so helpful. They take many steps against the students' sake and this is the main cause for decreasing the college's overall performance.
