Remarks :
The college is recommended by one of my friends and there is a good review about the college. as it was part of Bangalore university and I felt I will in a good position after passing out from this college, this was my decision by looking into the review of this college. there are much good aspects about college on the positive side. and limited negative sides. there are faculties who are good at teaching and create a comfortable and positive environment. Good support from the placement department by providing more and more interview chances. As it was word of mouth that the college is good in teaching and providing career good career opportunities for students. So I prefer this college. I selected this college through my friend's reference.
Course Curriculum Overview :
As fashion was my passion I choose this course. About the student-teacher ratio, we have enough teachers to teach quality knowledge. Teachers are very qualified pretty deliberately happy, communication is very good, I kept asking questions often and I get a positive reply from patients from faculties. Teaching techniques of all faculties are different and innovative.
Internships Opportunities :
There are many companies the college is tied up with for internships. We have to undergo internship in our 5th semester and the college gives options for all the students and the Collège itself place all the students off-campus internship in many different companies.
Placement Experience :
We will be ready for placements from the 5th semester as we will be given training on interview skills in the 5th semester. There are many companies that visit colleges like PN Rao, Reliance, Tailorman, etc. There are good different profiles offered like merchandising, designing, retail with different packages offered from different companies. There is 100% placements assured from college also we get more options for interviews and companies. I got placed from college in Tommy Hilfiger after my degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fee was perfect for me as it was worth studying in IIFT. I did not use any kind of scholarship but I'm sure and heard there are scholarships given by IIFT for students. College is given enough time to pay the fees if we have a genuine reason and also college gives some space for financial issues. As I was comfortable paying the fees I did not have any financial issues. I'm not gonna compare it to other colleges. We get into many fields and get good opportunities almost all our batch and seniors got good opportunities with the good pay scale.
Campus Life :
Apart from other events, fashionite is the big event we have in our college. It's a big success every year by giving opportunities for all the students to show their talents on stage. we are given opportunities to learn how to handle the models, heat of the situation, presentations, choosing the topics with the help of faculties and friends. There are many standard good books and journals. There is no word NO for any kind of study. There are projectors at all the classes and labs and all faculties use it for teaching for a better class experience. Extra activities like spectrum week, ethnic day, talents are conducted with fun and responsibility
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel is available only for girls. and for boys, PG is available nearby to college. There are Pg's with and without food. We can opt for whichever we want. College should check for hostel facility for boys also nearby. But Bangalore being city their plenty of hostels and pg available.
Interview Experience :
The admission process was an online entrance exam. The entrance exam was purely into general knowledge, aptitude test, and little about fashion field. I did not prepare for the entrance exam as I was good at general knowledge.
