Course Curriculum Overview

2

In class 12,I got good marks in my political science subject and that's when I decided to join BA Political Science Honours programme. Everything is well managed in this section but the marks provided to students is not satisfactory.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee for my Political Science Course at Christ University is ?1,15,000(1lakh 15 thousand rupees) per year. Additionally, there's a registration fee of ?30,000,with ?5000 being non-refundable if I decide to withdraw my admission and join another college. Notably, fees vary by course-my friend pursuing BBA(Bachelor of Business Administration) pays ?1,70,000(1 Lakh 70 thousand rupees) per year. The University also offers various scholarships to support students.

Campus Life

1

We only have one annual festival which is ethnic day, that is quite good other than that the University doesn't have proper functions. The library is quite big and is over 3 floors Computer labs and other facilities are very well Sports facilities is what I think lacks in my College as we don't have access to a proper playground None as of now

Admission

I come from Guwahati,Assam and there's a lot of craze for Christ University here and the society considers Christ to be a great University as it is known for getting placements so I decided to join Christ although I applied to DU. I applied to Delhi University and gave the CUET examinations but I already got admitted into Christ so I decided to join there and when CUET results got declared ,I got in none of the colleges so I decided to stick with Christ. Admission Process: 1)They ask for your class 10 and 12 marks card, other document proofs etc 2) You have to give one written and oral examination 3) Interview round is the most important one where you get interviewed by the faculty of your department and he/she asks you about the reasons for deciding to join Christ, what do I want to become in future,my career goals, etc

Faculty

2.5

My class has an overall strength of 40 students with a faculty of 4 faculty in my course. The faculty is quite good this time in 3year but some faculty lacks basic teaching skills, and some are not even approacable because all they make us do is write mails which they don't even open . I like my faculty of Geopolitics as he engages with the students and helps everyone in need unlike others I don't like my Research Methodology Professor as she's kind of a bully to us and is not very approachable . I have 5 papers this time,2 elective written courses and 2 Main course exams and one submission based paper and the subjects are quite relevant to my course . I have a lot of issues in the markings of the exams as the professors don't like to provide you marks and they end up giving us less marks than expected for which students fail in exams and they have to give repeat examinations

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was clear about choosing this stream as after 12th mind was fixed for preparing UPSC-CSE. So curriculum i had was exactly same which u needed!. Geography is very interesting subject and it further broadened my knowledge after i choosed the subject. We needed to write exam twice a year as many of us know it was a semester based. Question papers were of moderate difficulty and competent enough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The idea of doing a triple major in one degree is what motivated me to choose this course. English, Political Science and History are interlinked in many ways that we know. Also, the course was primarily curated to help aspiring students for the Public Service Examinations, UPSC and SSC. The course really does an amazing job is getting the students ready for competitive exams.

Placement Experience:

Placements are given in our college for a lot of departments. A senior of ours got placed into Reuters with a very high placement. In the last year, that is the 4th year, you get eligible for campus placement. After I get my degree in History, I will pursue my master's in history from Christ University only or from a foreign college belonging to the Ivy league. After that, I will pursue my PhD in history and also give the Civil Services Examination.

Placement Experience:

For my exact department, campus placements for undergraduate students isn't great, but thats a concern for any college in Media Studies. Companies like Accenture and Bosch do come for roles like HR or Corporate Communications though, and with how the University teaches, employability is pretty high off campus, with students using their network built during their internships done in their earlier years to land a job. Starting salaries vary depending on the role and company, but start from around 3-4 LPA. Im currently into UI/UX, looking for an internship so I can start working once i graduate.
