Course Curriculum Overview

5

A lot of things in the curriculum are tough and irritating but none of them are irrelevant. Everything we are taught is related to our course and would help us in the future. There's a lot of extra subjects we're made to study that make us gain a lot of knowledge

Internships Opportunities

3

I'm not quite sure about it as I'm a first year, however, I have quite a few friends who told me the internship opportunities are not bad at all and just might be worth it. The number of internships is not bad too, on an average, 2 out of every three people get internship.

Placement Experience

3

The students become eligible for placements from 6th semester. The placements on an average range from 6PLA TO 8 LPA. Big companies like GOLDMAN SACHS and Deloitte and deshaw come for placements. Overall, it's a decent college in terms of placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The structure of the fees is not properly disclosed. All we're told is the actual fees we're supposed to pay. I have mixed feelings about it. The fees varies from course to course. As far as the scholarship is concerned, you can apply for it through a process started on the website of Christ University

Campus Life

5

The infrastructure is very very good and the dedication do the college to make it better makes the college even better in comparison to other colleges. The social groups here are quite open and Frank with everyone. Campus Life is quite nice as well, a lot of cafe's to go on, good food, a lot of beautiful places to go and chill. Overall, it's a quite good place to be if you're idle.

Hostel Facilities

2

The pgs are decent. But every student complains about the food and water being given there. Other than that, I don't think anyone else is happy with their pgs. All of them have some issue or the other.

Admission

Christ University ticks the most boxes with quite less number of cons compared to other universities. The holistic development a person gets from this university is impeccable. The number of extra curricular activities done is perfect. The campus is quite good.

Faculty

3

Most of the faculty is quite humble and fun to be with. They're good at teaching and make sure the concept gets through the student's head. There's this sir named sandeep sir whom we call sandy sir. He's the best teacher in terms of fun. He jokes around a lot along with teaching all the concepts and treats us like his friends which is quite nice. There's around 600 teachers in the campus.

Night Life

5

It is a hub of party clubs and cafe's and restaurants. The night life is as good as it gets. The number of students you'll find in a club on a Saturday night is huge and probably the highest compared to any college.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
