Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose the B.Com + ACCA course because it is well-structured and gives a solid foundation in commerce while also preparing us for professional qualifications. I also like that the college offers value-added courses like Excel, which help us gain practical skills we can use in real life. The course prepares us well for both future studies and the workplace by combining theory with hands-on learning. The teachers are experienced and explain concepts clearly, making it easier to understand the subjects. The exams are well-timed—not too long to make us tired or too early to stress us out—and the difficulty level is just right to test our understanding without being overwhelming

Internships Opportunities

5

Our college has a dedicated placement department that helps us with internships as well. For B.Com + ACCA students, there are plenty of opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, 8 students from our batch got selected for finance roles with top companies like Deloitte and KPMG. The internships come with a stipend, and the projects mainly involve real finance tasks, which give us hands-on experience. Working on these projects helps us apply what we’ve learned in class and prepares us well for future careers.

Placement Experience

5

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for the 3-year B.Com + ACCA course is ?6,45,000. The college offers multiple scholarships, including merit-based, defense, SC/ST, and hostel scholarships. And the fee structure is subject to change every year

Campus Life

5

My overall experience at ISME has been really good. The campus has a nice amphitheatre where my friends and I usually sit, study, or just hang out. The library is also great—it has lots of books, newspapers, and journals that help us learn beyond what we study in class. Our classrooms have smart boards, which make learning more fun and interactive. We also get to attend guest lectures where professionals share their experiences and teach us new things. The college encourages both studies and fun activities. There are many intercollege sports events and cultural programs. We recently had Cultural Week, where we dressed up differently every day—it was so much fun! There are also student clubs like the E-Cell, CSR Club, and Communication Club, which help us explore new interests and meet people with similar goals. Overall, campus life at ISME is really lively and enjoyable

Hostel Facilities

5

Our college has some really helpful facilities that make life on campus easier. One of my favorites is the laundry service—we can get 10 clothes washed every week, which comes to about 40 clothes a month. It’s super convenient, especially living in the hostel. The food here is also really good. My personal favorite is chili paneer! I love that the menu changes every three months, so there’s always something new to try. These little things, like laundry and tasty meals, make campus life really comfortable and enjoyable.

Admission

I didn’t apply to any other colleges because from the beginning, I had my mind set on ISME. What really impressed me was the global exposure they offer—students get to go to Singapore for a week, where we’re guided and trained, which I found really exciting. I also love that many of our faculty members have studied or worked abroad, and some even have doctorates, so learning from them feels really inspiring. Another reason I chose ISME is because of its amazing placement opportunities. The average package is around 6 LPA, and big companies like KPMG and Deloitte visit the campus every year, which gave me confidence about my future career. The admission process was smooth but thorough. We had a group discussion, an SOP round, an entrance test, and finally a personal interview. After clearing all of them, I was so happy to get my admission offer. The whole process felt very professional and well-organized

Faculty

5

The college faculties are well experienced either they have worked abroad or studied. I’m currently studying in the first year of B.Com, and the course continues until the third year. For the full three years, the total fees are approximately ?6.45 lakhs. The college is affiliated with Bangalore University and also conducts internal exams for us. We need to maintain at least 75% attendance, otherwise, we won’t be allowed to sit for the final exams.

Interview Experience

5

In our group discussion, the topic was offline education versus online education. We were given 1 minute to prepare and had to speak for at least 5 minutes on the topic. During the personal interview, they asked questions related to accounts, economics, and some general knowledge. I had prepared really well for both, which made the whole process much smoother and less stressful.

Night Life

5

Evenings at ISME are really peaceful and nice. The campus looks beautiful at night, and the fresh air makes it perfect for walking around with friends. We often hang out in the amphitheatre, play games, or just sit and chat after classes. The cafeteria serves tasty and hygienic food, with timings from 7:30–8:45 in the morning, 12:30–2:00 in the afternoon, and 7:30–8:45 at night. The library is also a nice place to relax or get some studying done, and it closes in the evening. Everyone has to be back in the hostel by 9 PM. Outside the campus, there are lots of food spots and Oxygen Mall, where we can try things that aren’t available in college. The area is safe, so it’s comfortable to hang out or go for short walks in the evenings. Overall, evenings at ISME are really enjoyable—whether we’re studying, catching up with friends, or just soaking in the campus vibes.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
