The college is too strict with attendance,if a student’s attendance is below 85 he has to pay a fine of ?5000,?3000 and ?2000 and if the student has a less than 75% attendance then he/she is detained which is very wrong ~ Abhinaba Bhuyan, BA

Regarding the placement I would say this college though provide a good opportunity for placements but the due to recession and the job market situation right now I think it's a tough job to get a placement .

The learning here is very practical, with a focus on real-life usability and employability, especially with the introduction of Learner Centric Approach
The faculty and management are genrally very approachable
There is a generous population here from diverse backgrounds, each one talented and ambitious, making the environment a good one to be in

Dislikes

Needless strictness on attendance, with people having to pay fines even though they were sick or in the hospital.
Course plans differ from course to course, and so does their relevance
Some of the faculty are very inept, with a lot of the good faculty leaving.

For my exact department, campus placements for undergraduate students isn't great, but thats a concern for any college in Media Studies. Companies like Accenture and Bosch do come for roles like HR or Corporate Communications though, and with how the University teaches, employability is pretty high off campus, with students using their network built during their internships done in their earlier years to land a job. Starting salaries vary depending on the role and company, but start from around 3-4 LPA. Im currently into UI/UX, looking for an internship so I can start working once i graduate.

I loved the course structure and the internship opportunities that we need to do after a year
Campus engagement is top notch everyday we get new opportunities to work for and different fests
Placement service they are working on for psychology other courses they have great opportunity

Dislikes

The strictness that is there but also helped us to build our CV and profile

After 1year students are eligible to do internships in which we have a placement cell which help us a lot in our professional education and finding good internships and exposure in medical field plus we have a faculty that helps us to train ourselves for the field and how to work in that order itself

Comprehensive Review on Christ (Deemed to be University )

Likes

Campus Infrastructure : The campus infrastructure across most Christ (Deemed to be Universities) are always of top notch. It also has great auditoriums, libraries, seminar halls, and other sports facilities.
Faculty: The faculty is Christ are mostly just phenomenal . The connection that the students have with the professors are great. They are easy to approach and will always have a lot of insights to provide.
Campus life: The campus life in Christ will always be happening. There will always be something for someone to do in Christ. There are so many groups and clubs that there will be no issues to fit in to such a college.

Dislikes

Faculty: While the quality is great for the faculty in Christ, there are some places where they lack such great quality. In many important subjects, sometimes the college is not able to get great quality professors.
Expensive: The course is definitely pretty expensive. For a course in BBA it seems a little too high and I would agree as well.
Discipline: For many this can pose as a problem. There are high standards to be met and it can be extremely exhausting.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason I chose this course was because it was integrated with ACCA. This can be a great way to ensure that you dont waste anytime and can get ahead. The curriculum prepares you for the real world to some extent, but the rest depends upon an indiviual. The co- curricular and extra actvities that one takes can make you ready for the real world. Course curriculum can be improved in the final semesters. It didnt seeem like it was aligned with ACCA towards the end and that was disheartening. The teaching methods are great, many of them put in a good deal of effort and it reflects during the classes. The frequency and timing of exams are not too bad. It can be extremely exhausting but it is manageable.

Life as a Christite

Likes

The things that I liked in Christ is the fact that everyone talks in English and the students are brilliant and bright and have a lot of potential to achieve great success in the near future
The faculty is great as well,they help students in needs and work and engage 24/7 with students to achieve good marks unlike the faculty in Delhi university.
Another great aspect is that there avails a lot of placements for students in various courses

Dislikes

The college is too strict with attendance,if a student’s attendance is below 85 he has to pay a fine of ₹5000,₹3000 and ₹2000 and if the student has a less than 75% attendance then he/she is detained which is very wrong
Instead of taking fines,they should provide remedial classes
The faculty resists in giving marks no matter how much you try

Course Curriculum Overview:

In class 12,I got good marks in my political science subject and that's when I decided to join BA Political Science Honours programme. Everything is well managed in this section but the marks provided to students is not satisfactory.

The campus is very clean and well maintained, very fresh as it is full of trees and plants. The facilities and faculty are good as well

Dislikes

Too much assignments at times and Sunday classes

The curriculum offers a wide range of topics in Botany and includes relevant and contemporary topics like plant biotechnology, microbiology, genetics, plant physiology, cell biology etc.

Likes

The campus is beautiful, and situated at the heart of Bangalore, there is a lot of exposure.
Infrastructure is reasonably good, and general maintenance is excellent
Campus life is very busy, with about 40 different events happening at any given point of time.

Dislikes

Faculty is mediocre at best, at worst, I could try teaching the class and would probably do better
A draconian focus on "discipline": restricitve dress codes and an unrealistic attendance requirement (85%).
Despite the global exposure, much of the faculty in my department is stuck at eary 2000's ideals and ideas for what a BSc in computer science would get the degree holder in terms of prospects.

Placement Experience:

Placement starts from 5th or 6th semester. Deloitte and DE Shaw seem to be frequent visitors. The highest anyone went in my course was about 16 lpa. The averahe hovers around 3 to 5 lpa. Placement percentages are bleak. I plan to pursue a master's after getting my degree.

Likes

This university is very diverse has people from all around the world and thus i love the diversity.
We have very amazing lab facilities and the lab assistant as well as the faculties are always ready to help us
The clubs and social events which makes sure that we grow as a social being as well and not only academics

Dislikes

Sometimes it seems like we have alot of work in terms of assignments and exams
Attendance is so strict that sometimes we have to force ourselves to go inspite of being sick
Dress code is very strict and sometimes we have to return back from the gate only because of this

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exams and our course are indeed difficult but the way it is been taught in our classes help us alot. For every core paper we have labs where we get to perform experiments after we are made to learn about it. The course offers wide range of knowledge not only focusing on the core idea

The campus is lively till late evening .
People are very much into cultural , educational and sports activities .
The class timings are very apt . It's easier for students to utilise their free time in doing internships and other stuffs.

Dislikes

The student teacher ratio is not good . 78 : 1 is not good for a class
Not all teachers uses power point presentations for their lecture.
The lifts are not always available for all .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college takes assessments in regular intervals of time so that the students are always academically active . I had a previous knowledge of the subject legal studies from where I got interest in the subject . But the teaching methods , in my opinion, everyone should use ppts.

Likes

The campus is well maintained and hygienic
The faculties are very approachable and most of them coordinate amicably
The opportunities and networking facilities are great

Dislikes

The classrooms are quite aged so are the buildings giving old school vibes
Attendance is regulated at 85 whereas other colleges have 75
Very strict dress code policies which needs to be followed at all times worst being clean shaved

Placement Experience:

Placements have gone down in the recent years due to overall job shortage but however from this year it self goldman sachs and deshaw will be hiring more number of employees from campus placement with a package of around 29 LPA

Christ University is a very good option for M.Sc. Clinical Psychology as it offers course with the disciplinary advances. The course addresses knowledge about Psychological functioning. The university provides hands-on experience in the course.

Christ University is one of the best private universities where you can pursue an M.Sc Data Science program. You can apply for admission in this program if you have completed a BCA degree or a B.Sc degree in Mathematics/Computer Science/Statistics from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
