My college is heaven

Likes

I like the culture of college where senior have to be wished and they give us treat
I like the society and area of campus. It's clean
I liked the discipline and Infrastructure of it

Dislikes

The main entrance gate is small and while
The mmess food is. Not good and and professors are not taking personal attention
Clubs face regionalism and lot of talent gets hidden

Placement Experience:

The student with cg more than 8 gets eligible for package and companies come and give them package . Cs and mnc has approx 100 percent of placement but also some lower branch are having less ratio of placements.

Review of IIT ISM DHANBAD

Colleges campus is too good and weather of college location is charming through our the year . Also the facilities of classroom are very comfortable and classy.
College sports facilities are like international level. 2 ground for cricket and athletics one more ground for normal matches. Olympics level basket ball court is there . State level coaches are there in each game .
Olympics standard swimming pool is there . Many club are there like dancing club, speaking club, fotofreaks, Artfreaks , music club and tech club is also there like cyber lab , Robotics club etc . Apart from this all campus life is very good.

Dislikes

Campus is very big so college need to provide free cycle or auto service but they provide payable e riksa
Since the college located in dhnabda jharkhand, No much option for travelling or enjoying near the campus. Only one two good places are there like fall ,dam etc.
Reasearch facilities are growing recently but it need to work more on that field . Also campus closed after 10 pm for going outside the campus . But good thing is inside campus you will be free to roam anywhere irrespective of time foundation.

Placement Experience:

Overall campus placement for IIT ISM Dhanbad is decent . Highest package till now is 1.2 cr and lowest package is 6 lpa . This year also since phase 1 of placement season completed almost 600+ students got placed with highest domestic package is 66 lakh . 80-90% students got placed in this college. If your cgpa is above 7 chances of getting placed is very high. So maintaining good cgpa is very necessary. Placement season start from oct end of 7 th sem and phase 1 of placement completes in 20-25 dec . After that phase 2 of placement starts from 4-5 january onwards . Highest package offer on day 1,2 of placement season. Since I got placed in Bharat petroleum corporation limited (BPCL) my plan is to join BPCl and then go on higher post in same company.

IIT ISM honest review

Whole infrastructure of college is nice. Lust green campus with well developed facility is there. I need improvement in mess facility.
Faculties are well experienced and interactive in class. Whole environment of class is nice. Some teachers have to change their teaching style.
Course curriculum is relevant to current demand. Placements is overall good. But due to connectivity problem some deviation has seen like lack of airport in dhanbad the coal capital of india

Dislikes

Connectivity problems in dhanbad. Lack of airport and railway station is oldish type. This affects attraction of foreign companies.
Mess food is not so good. Even in snack timing they provide tea with a biscuit. Overall mess facility need too much improvements.

Placement Experience:

In my college overall placement is quite good but is vary as per branch. Last year overall average was 16.78 lpa and of cse was about 27 lpa. From 3rd year we are eligible for internship and preplacement offers. But majorly in fourth year people got placed. Last year highest package was 56 lpa on campus. Companies like google microsoft tata reliance and nearly all known well companies come to my campus. This year on first day highest package placement offered was of 66lpa and 164 students got offers. My plan is to just explore different things in first year and work on specific interesting field in second year and secure my interest .

The overall academics is good and study is nice...
The environment of the college is too good so.much greenary and all.
There is the library the best place to study.

Dislikes

I think the food is not that much good as that in other cities.
The hostels are also not too good except few like aquamarine etc. they are good.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good and there is always improvement as like this year the placements increased. The company that visited is tata, Google Microsoft etc... Highest package last year was 60 lpa and this year it was 66lpa, in my course the average package is about 23 to 25 lpa. Good placements of students most of them for placed...

Our relationship with our seniors who are always there to help us in whatever way we need.
Beautiful and well equipped small campus where cleanliness, security etc. is well taken care of.
Maintaining cleanliness and proper management of things like washroom, geyser, vending machine etc.

Dislikes

We are not allowed to leave campus after 10 and hostel after 9 on normal days which reduces the availability of library and other things.
Some of the professors are not really good and are difficult to understand.

Placement opportunities in my college is really very good. There is lot of opportunities in core as well as tech companies. Talking about tech all the top companies like Google, Meta, Microsoft, Flipkart, Samsung etc comes for on campus placement. And for core companies like NVIDEA, SLB, Jaguar, ONGC etc comes for on campus placement. If not placement then one can go for masters or other exams like UPSC etc. 10 to 30 lakhs is the average package for different different branches. Like for ECE it ranges between 20-25 lakhs. Highest package in 2024 as per now is 66lpa. Also almost more than 80percent students are placed and rest are going for off campus placement and other things.

Infrastructure is great. With well organised mess food
Sone of the faculty are great , helps a lot

Regionality problem if you belong to perticular region you will get help from senior else no
Sone of the faculty and TA are not good specially TA of psychology
Water problem , means water purifier is not good

Placement is good , like heighest package was 66 lakh for 2024 and avg is 20 lakh approx and placement percentage is approx 75-80 means this much percent students easily gets placed Specially petroleum engineering branch 95 percent students get placed

Looking for an amazing college life ? Come to ISM.

Likes

The well educated and industry sharpened and uptodate professors and faculty.
The overall technical labs and research facilities, which are even missing in many big IITs.
The eating areas, expecially the RamDhani Tea Shop is great hanging spot.

Dislikes

Today, many colleges have every classrooms, air conditioned. Although some of the class rooms are conditioned. but i feel the need for all of them to be ACed.
The lack of freedom for students to roam freely at night. Since its a closed campus, we should be allowed to roam in campus at night.
The branded eating outlets are few. I believe college should ask more brands to come and set up their franchises.

Placement Experience:

From sem 4, you can start applying. From sem 6, you can officially do an oncampus intern Google, Amazon, Flipakart, PhonePe, HDFC, Reliance, StanChat, BNY, GS, etc Highest 55LPA, avg, 20LPA. almost 80-90% get placed, others take on higher education

Great infrastructure and management of buildings.

Placement Experience:

The placements are quite decent with avg package around 25 lpa. Students are eligible for internships from the 5th semester and for placements in the 7th semester. Companies like google ,microsoft , amazon, JLR, flipkart and samsung visit for internship and placement opportunities. The highest package ranges from 50-60 lpa while the avg. is around 20-25lpa. 85-90% of the students eligible get placed with the rest opting of higher studies. I plan on getting a job

Class timings are very flexible and no pressure on students.
IIT Dhanbad has very good record of internships and placements.
They provide scholarship for the students.

Dislikes

Should improve female to male ratio in students.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester that is after 3-2 you are eligible to participate in campus placements. Campus placements are very good. Median package is 15 LPA and highest is around 75LPA. They will help you at the time of your placements.

IIT Dhanbad ranks 15th among the Engineering category by NIRF 2019. It is a much older establishment than IIT Bhubaneswar. The fee structure for BTech in ECE at IIT Dhanbad is 2,30,120 for one year. It Requires a JEE ranking of 3000-10000 for ECE. The ECE department of IIT Dhanbad has seen 60% placement of students with an average annual salary package of 15 lakhs per annum and highest being 39 lakhs per annum. IIT Dhanbad has a total of 332 faculty members who are highly qualified and experienced members. Out of total, 315 members are Ph.D. holders.

IIT Bhubaneswar ranks 17th in the Engineering category by NIRF 2019. It is one of the newer IITs. The students with JEE ranking between 2000-7000 are eligible for Electrical Engineering in IIT Bhubaneswar.
