IIM Ahmedabad Special Need Based Scholarships

Eligibility:- Students in PGP & PGP-FABM with gross annual family income less than INR 15,00,000 during the previous fiscal year are eligible to apply, subject to verification.

Factors like a candidate's past earnings (if any), the size of their student loans, and their family's income.

Family’s income shall be estimated of both parent/guardian/s and spouse if married. The income before tax deduction shall be considered.

Scholarship amount:- IIM Ahmedabad will review each applicant's economic situation using factors like family's movable and immovable assets, the number of dependents, and factors it may find relevant in order to calculate the amount of financial aid they will need.

IIM Ahmedabad Scholarships for SC/ST’s

For 10 months, all postgraduate SC/ST students receive a scholarship of INR 150 per month.

IIM Ahmedabad Exit Scholarships

IIM Ahmedabad Exit Scholarships are further classified into the following scholarships:-

Students who graduate from IIM Ahmedabad and going for entrepreneurship

Eligibility:- The mentioned monthly stipend shall be provided for at most three consecutive years to two students from every batch opting out of placements and having business ideas.

Scholarship amount:- A monthly stipend of INR 30,000 is initiated by IIM Ahmedabad with an aim to encourage the graduating students to become entrepreneurs.

IIM Ahmedabad graduates who join “Not-for-Profit” organization

Eligibility:- Two students from each batch will receive financial aid for a maximum of three consecutive years in an effort to choose careers in non-profit organizations.

Scholarship amount:- The amount of financial aid per student might range from INR 3.0 to 4.0 lakhs annually.

Financial Assistance for students who graduate from IIM Ahmedabad and pursue doctoral studies

Eligibility:- Two students will each get this grant for a maximum of three years to encourage them to pursue PhD studies in India or abroad.

Scholarship amount:- Scholarship amounts might range from INR 3.0 to 4.0 lakhs per student per year.

IIM Ahmedabad SC/ST Scholarships (Merit-cum means))

Eligibility:- The financial aid is awarded to meritorious SC/ST students, whose family income does not exceed INR 4,50,000 per annum.

Minority Welfare Scholarships (Merit-cum-Means)

Eligibility:- Students from the minority communities, whose family income does not exceed INR2.50 lakhs per annum. The financial assistance is rewarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India.

Scholarships for Students with Disabilities (Merit-cum-Means)

Eligibility:- Awarded to meritorious DA/PWD students, whose family income does not exceed INR6,00,000 per annum.

PGP Alumni Endowment Funds

Eligibility:- 9 students from PGP 1 & PGP/FABM II students from economically and socially challenged backgrounds.The eligible students shall be based on their financial status, every year.

Scholarship amount:- Each student would be eligible to get an amount in the range of INR 2,00,000 - 3,00,000.

Important:- Beneficiary students availing financial aid should ensure to contribute within 5-7 years of their graduation, a sum at least equal to but preferably substantially more than what s/he received towards providing similar support to such students.

Class of PGP 2001, Peri Viswanath Scholarship

Brought into execution since batch 2013-15, by the batch-mates of Mr. Peri Viswanath who died in a road accident, this scholarship aims to extend financial support to one student in the PGP/PGP-FABM.

Eligibility:- The merit criterion being the first year performance in PGP/PGP-FABM and past academic and the mean criterion of annual family income below INR 15,00,000.

Scholarship Amount:- The amount of the financial assistance is INR 2,00,000 per year and the scholar will get INR 4,00,000 over 2 years. The criteria for the award would be Merit-cum-Means.

Shri GC Mital Entrepreneurship Aid

Eligibility:- Only 1 student (who will be the graduating student of PGP/PGP-FABM, who intends to start own venture, opting out of the IIM Ahmedabad placement process), with an educational loan of a minimum INR 1,00,000 and those with a combined family income below INR 8,00,000 per annum.

The selection of the awardee shall be done on the basis of a business plan submitted by the applicant.

Scholarship Amount:- The aid amount of INR 2,00,000 would be given to the student on the day of convocation. The above financial aid has been implemented from the batch of 2012.

General rules and regulations for qualifying for IIM Ahmedabad Scholarships

Following are the general rules and regulations for qualifying IIM Ahmedabad Scholarships:-

Students violating the Institute’s disciplinary norms or proved to be guilty of misconduct will not be considered for the award of any scholarships.

A student can accept more than one scholarship/financial aid in an academic year, provided:-i) there is no objection from the sponsors, and ii) the total amount of such scholarships/financial aid put together does not exceed the actual yearly expenses.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The tuition fees for the MBA at IIMA is 11 lakh per year and 22 lakh for total course.The caution fees 5000 as a refundable if any students damage in the hostel and damage in the college so recovers from them, it is refundable after the completion of course.The hostel fees is almost 120000 for the two years and it is compulsory to avail the hostel facilities as the MBA programs have rules for every students .mess fess is optional and not mandatory and this depending upon the type of meal adopts by the students.there is a central government scholarship that is provided on the basis of the merit and they can avail discount on the tuition fees.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The tuition fee for the MBA program (colloquially known as PGDM) for IIMA (two-year program) stands at INR 22 lacs i.e. INR 11 lacs per year. There are a couple of other significant costs as part of the fee structure particularly INR 5,000 as a refundable deposit (in lieu of any damage to the hostel and/or college property). The hostel fee stands at INR 1 lac for the entirety of two years and it is compulsory to avail of the hostel facility as the MBA program at IIMA is a residency program. Apart from this, there is a mess fee which is optional and not mandatory; this fee depends on the type of cuisine and meal program that the student opts for. There is a central government-sponsored MCM scholarship that exists or the merit-cum-means that allows the student to avail discount on the tuition fee that depends on the IIMA merit list (achievable via an RTI application) for the first term and the GPA of the previous terms for all the next terms.

The good environment to learn good aspects and ideas

Fees and Financial Aid:

I paid year wise 12000/- and my Tution fee is 5000/-, Admission fee is 3000/-, Development fee is 1000, lab fee is 2000, other compulsory charges during the course completion as per the category (like Management, SC, ST) is 1000 for needed requirements in Hostel. And my batchmates are fees in cast wise is high and because india constituted a reservation of low categories. in EAMCET rank merit based category seats are available and Scholarships are available in this college and only total exam fee and lab fee are we paid to the college. We only pay 12000/- rupees for this college and so very good college for beauty nature and buildings and so much good hostel and very much like Indian food of Telangana.

The total fees for the whole year of my program is 1,32,160 rupees. FDP in Pedagogy and Research methods has fees of 1,12,000 with 18% of GST. Although, the distribution about fees is not given in my brochure.

Class of PGP 2001, Peri Viswanath Scholarship- This scholarships offers financial support to one student from PGP/PGP-FABM. The amount is 2 lakh per year, which totals to 4 lakhs over 2 years. It is a merit cum means scholarship, which is awarded to students with a good performance in 1st year (and a good past academic record), and a family income below 15,00,000. IIMA Special Need-Based Scholarships: All students admitted to the post-graduate programs (PGP & PGP-FABM) whose gross annual family income was below Rs.15,00,000 during the previous financial year are eligible for this scholarship. It is subject to proof of family income, educational loan amount, and past earnings.

Family income includes parent(s)/guardian(s) and spouse if married. Consider pre-tax income. IIM Ahmedabad will decide each applicant's financial aid based on their economic condition, including movable and immovable family assets, the number of dependents on the family income, and any other factors it deems essential.

Other Scholarships:

All SC/ST postgraduate students receive Rs.150 each month for 10 months.
To encourage students to work in NGOs, two students from each batch will get financial aid for three years to help pay off their IIMA bank debts. Each student receives Rs.3–4 lakhs in help.

IIM Ahmedabad will not award the mentioned scholarships/financial aid to the students who violate the Institute's disciplinary rules.

IIM Ahmedabad offers 100% scholarships to the students who are not financially well being and does not afford an education load. In such case, student needs to produce Family Annual Income Proof (income before tax deduction will be confirmed), category certificate, past earning reports.
