- Candidate’s having a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Agricultural Sciences or Agriculture-related Disciplines with 50% Marks (45% Marks for SC/ST/PwD) OR

IIM Ahmedabad PGP - FABM Admission Process is divided in 2 steps, they are as follows:
Step 1:
On the basis of Composite Score, Candidates are Shortlisted for AWT-PI Round.
Calculation for Composite Score = 0.35 * ARS (Application Rating Score) + 0.65 * NCS (Normalized CAT Score).
Step 2:
Based on Composite Scores, Students are called for Analytical Writing Test (AWT) & Personal Interview (PI) for further Selection. Final Selection is based on Candidate’s Overall Performance in CAT / GMAT Scores, Performance in AWT & PI Round, Academic Scores & Work Experience.
AR Scores is based on 10th, 12th, Bachelor’s Marks and Work Experience. The scores for the same is as follows:

IIM Ahmedabad Admissions: How to Apply for MBA/ PGP-FABM?
To apply to IIM Ahmedabad for its flagship MBA program, the candidates will have to go through the following steps:
- Visit CAT Official Website: Visit the official website of CAT or www.iimcat.ac.in and click on CAT 2024 Registration. Then click on ‘New Candidate Registration’ and the registration form will appear for you to create your user profile.
- Registration: Fill up all the details in the registration form and generate OTP. Enter the OTP sent to your registered phone number, and submit your registration form to receive the login details.
- Login to CAT Website: Now login to your account using the login credentials and fill up the application form with all the details asked like the personal details, academic details, work experience, Institute and the program you want to apply, and test city.
- Payment: Once you are done with your application form, submit it and pay the application fee of INR 2,300 for general/ EWS/ NC-OBC and INR 1,150 for ST/SC/PwD.
- Confirmation Email: After you are done with the payment, you could see the application summary on the screen and the confirmation mail will be sent to the registered email.

Fees structure is 24.6 lac. There is a compulsory 2 months internship program that happens from April-May to the end of the first year. There is ample scholarship opportunity like IDFC First, and special need-based merit scholarships if the annual income is below 15lac.

The fees are 2400000 for the entire 2-year program. There are various scholarships available. Anyone who clears eligibility criteria and avails of them. Scholarships up to 2.5 lakhs are there. For fees, you take a loan from any bank.

The fee structure get changes every year but in my case, it was INR 24 lakhs including both academic and hostel fees. There are several scholarships from corporates like IDFC first bank scholarship and HEOL scholarship ranging from INR 2 to 5 lakhs. Also, IIM A offers scholarships to students who are financially poor and to reserved category students from the Govt.

I am interested in PGP-FABM of IIM Ahmedabad. I am 25. X- 86.7%,XII-70.3%, B.Tech-62.5%. AR-17. 1+years of work-ex in Accenture. What are my chances?
The PGP-FABM program does not have any marks limit in its eligibility criteria. Rather it requires you to hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in agricultural sciences or agriculture-related disciplines with at least 50% marks ( or equivalent CGPA).
The specific stream clause was added last year only. Make sure your stream does not pose any problem and you are fit to apply. Your chances depend on two factors/

Is it worth joining the IIM Ahmedabad FABM programme after spending Rs. 21 lakhs?
IIM-A's PGP-FABM is a two-year full-time program that covers allied areas such as agriculture, food processing, commodities and rural development sector, and rural infrastructure. The fees for the batch 2021-2023 are 28 lakhs.
- One of my friends studying at IIM Ahmedabad said that a certificate doesn’t mean you will get a good placement offer.
- If you are taking a loan then be careful as your placement is not certain. Getting a collateral-free loan would be easy but paying it off will be a real task.
- The most important thing here is your financial goals and if getting a certificate from the IIMA PGP-FABM program fits into it then go ahead.
- As the fees for this program are too high, I’d say think about it and only go for it if you are highly interested in this field of study.
However, if you are still dicey about whether to opt for this program or not I would suggest you to invest in attending a course conducted by Pavan Bhattad’s Brainival. It is a 2-day workshop in which he discusses speed reading, mind mapping, memory techniques, and ideas generation which was initially conducted in Pune.

Yes, there is a separate shortlist for PGP FABM (Post Graduate Programme in Food and Agribusiness Management) at IIM Ahmedabad. The course primarily prefers students from agriculture, food, and allied courses. However, if a student is from a diverse background and has opted for the course while filling out the CAT form, they may also get shortlisted. There is no surety that all backgrounds will get shortlisted. For instance, it's rare to find a lawyer getting shortlisted for FABM.
