I am interested in PGP-FABM of IIM Ahmedabad. I am 25. X- 86.7%,XII-70.3%, B.Tech-62.5%. AR-17. 1+years of work-ex in Accenture. What are my chances?

The PGP-FABM program does not have any marks limit in its eligibility criteria. Rather it requires you to hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in agricultural sciences or agriculture-related disciplines with at least 50% marks ( or equivalent CGPA). The specific stream clause was added last year only. Make sure your stream does not pose any problem and you are fit to apply. Is it worth joining the IIM Ahmedabad FABM programme after spending Rs. 21 lakhs?

IIM-A's PGP-FABM is a two-year full-time program that covers allied areas such as agriculture, food processing, commodities and rural development sector, and rural infrastructure. The fees for the batch 2021-2023 are 28 lakhs. One of my friends studying at IIM Ahmedabad said that a certificate doesn’t mean you will get a good placement offer. If you are taking a loan then be careful as your placement is not certain. Getting a collateral-free loan would be easy but paying it off will be a real task. The most important thing here is your financial goals and if getting a certificate from the IIMA PGP-FABM program fits into it then go ahead. As the fees for this program are too high, I’d say think about it and only go for it if you are highly interested in this field of study. However, if you are still dicey about whether to opt for this program or not I would suggest you to invest in attending a course conducted by Pavan Bhattad’s Brainival. It is a 2-day workshop in which he discusses speed reading, mind mapping, memory techniques, and ideas generation which was initially conducted in Pune.

Yes, there is a separate shortlist for PGP FABM (Post Graduate Programme in Food and Agribusiness Management) at IIM Ahmedabad. The course primarily prefers students from agriculture, food, and allied courses. However, if a student is from a diverse background and has opted for the course while filling out the CAT form, they may also get shortlisted. There is no surety that all backgrounds will get shortlisted. For instance, it's rare to find a lawyer getting shortlisted for FABM.

The good environment to learn good aspects and ideas

Fees and Financial Aid:

I paid year wise 12000/- and my Tution fee is 5000/-, Admission fee is 3000/-, Development fee is 1000, lab fee is 2000, other compulsory charges during the course completion as per the category (like Management, SC, ST) is 1000 for needed requirements in Hostel. And my batchmates are fees in cast wise is high and because india constituted a reservation of low categories. in EAMCET rank merit based category seats are available and Scholarships are available in this college and only total exam fee and lab fee are we paid to the college. We only pay 12000/- rupees for this college and so very good college for beauty nature and buildings and so much good hostel and very much like Indian food of Telangana.

The cost of education is high relatively. The fee is not the same every year. It is revised by the board members of the college. But there are colleges that fund education on a loan basis. There are also few scholarships awarded by colleges on a merit basis.

Scholarships are available. Many students availed of them. But a complete fee waiver shouldn't be expected. The fee is huge but consider it an investment. Education loan is easy to avail of as the banks have tie-ups with the college.

IIMA PGP-FABM review

The fees are 2400000 for the entire 2-year program. There are various scholarships available. Anyone who clears eligibility criteria and avails of them. Scholarships up to 2.5 lakhs are there. For fees, you take a loan from any bank.

IIMA FABM review

The fee is approximately 24 lakhs for two years. You can easily avail of an education loan for it. Scholarships are grades based as well as need-based. You can make your carrier in any domain( Marketing, Operations, etc. ) after graduating from IIMA.

Fee Structure And Facilities:

The fee structure get changes every year but in my case, it was INR 24 lakhs including both academic and hostel fees. There are several scholarships from corporates like IDFC first bank scholarship and HEOL scholarship ranging from INR 2 to 5 lakhs. Also, IIM A offers scholarships to students who are financially poor and to reserved category students from the Govt.
