The placement cell at IIMA holds considerable clout with leading companies and this reputation helps students claim not only a guaranteed placement at leading companies but also of their choice. The breadth of industries is also quite commendable.

Placement Experience:

The placement season at IIMA starts from December onward. This includes a three to four day marathon placement season that witnesses more than 150 companies visiting the campus. These companies include MNCs such as American Express, Blackrock, Boston Consulting Group, Mastercard, P&G, Nestle Indian conglomerates such as Aditya Birla Group, Tata Group, Mahindra Group, HUL, technology companies such as Amazon, Zomato, Sprinklr. In total ~480 offers are made to candidates in total across laterals as well as finals placement processes. A 100% placement has been a record at IIMA for many years now. While the average package lied somewhere around INR 20 LPA, the maximum was to the tune of INR 75 LPA (and perhaps even more for international locations). There is no question at all if you are optimising for salary in the short term. On average, you would earn more at IIM Ahmedabad and Bangalore than at FMS. In the long run, it will be much more dependent on you and a little bit on the profile you want to work in. In the placement process, it is not always the B-Schools that are responsible for reporting inflated packages, but rather the companies. The figure reported by placement cells is referred to as the "Cost to Company" (CTC) and not the take-home salary. This means that simply dividing the CTC by 12 is not an accurate reflection of what you will receive in your bank account each month.

CTC consists of two main components: fixed and variable. The fixed component includes your basic salary, HRA, TA, LTA, employer's contribution to the provident fund, joining bonus, retention bonuses, and ESOPs. You need to figure out what you really are after, a good marketing role or a high-paying job. If you are after the latter I suggest you go for big consulting firms like Mc Kinsey, BCG, or investment banks that offer 30+ LPA.
But if it is the marketing role you are after, then make sure your resume reflects your marketing enthusiasm. This will further increase your chances of selection.
Performing well in the competitions conducted by your desired company is another way to get a high-paying job.
If the Final Placements are your last resort then make sure you have a stable and excellent CGPA. Many companies consider this factor while shortlisting.

These points will help you get your dream job but cannot necessarily guarantee it. It all ultimately depends on your efforts and obviously your luck.

Continue working if you enjoy your job and see it developing your ambitions and you as a person. Make a plan to work for a few years, switch jobs/profiles a few times to gain more diverse experience, and then get an MBA from a more internationally renowned business school in the US/Europe. If you were able to get into IIM-A now, chances are you will be able to do so again while you are still young.

Join IIM-Ahmedabad if you don't yet have clear life ambitions/roadmaps and don't see much value in your job beyond its salary value. As you get older, you will lose direction and enthusiasm in a soulless job.

You will then be too old for IIMs but not competitive enough for schools in the United States or Europe, or even ISB or IIMA PGPX. So it's better to get that degree now rather than later.
