Sir made learning very pleasurable. He is one of the best teachers that I studied under. The courses that I learnt at IIMA, and found useful, are- Trading Strategies and Managing Financial Institutions- These two courses refreshed my concepts in Finance. MFI prepared me for BFSI and mid office IB roles. These courses are scoring as well. Business & Intellectual Property and Legal Aspects of Business- These two courses under Prof. Anurag Agarwal, are a one time experience. Sir’s way of teaching is unmatched. He only teaches important and relevant topics. These two courses groomed me as a business professional. These are the courses that I found useful as an MBA student at IIM Ahmedabad.

Q: How can a student from poor family afford to study at IIM Ahmedabad? My father nearly had a heart attack when he heard about their fees structure. Is 25+ lakhs for a 2 year MBA program worth it?

I don’t think you should worry about the high fees at all since the banks on campus take care of 100% of your fees. All you need to do is show them your admission letter, and they will provide you with decent loans. Many banks are easy to give you loans of up to 30+ lakhs some without collateral too in the case of A, B, or C. Once you have made it to IIM Ahmedabad you can change the date of your family. With enough hard work, you can land a job that will help you repay the loans within 3-4 Years. So what you need to do is just become determined to work hard and earn your fees!

Q: Which is best -MBA in finance from ISB Hyderabad or top IIMS A/B/C??

ISB Hyderabad is known for its lack of specialization in Finance. It’s a common understanding now that even if one is preferring ISB Hyderabad for admission, they know that they should go for anything but Finance. Studying some aspects will give you a deeper insight as to why MBA in Finance from ISB Hyderabad is not recommended. Faculty: Although the visiting faculty is quite decent, it’s the domestic faculty that has ruined the culture at ISB. They are arrogant, pathetic, and extremely incapable. They insult the students regularly and disturb student-teacher relations. Placements: The roles offered in Finance were below average like Operations, Sales, and BD roles. Such roles were offered in abundance by the banks or start-ups. However, the superior roles like IB/PE/VC/M&A/FP&A/Equity Research/Credit Rating/Asset Management/TAS were offered scarcely. For instance only 10 FP and A roles were allotted that too only to CAs Only one Investment banking role was offered by Barclays Only 5 PE/bc roles were offered and there was a strong preference for a prior IB/PE/VC experience and IIT undergraduate background. One M and A role was offered only 4 Asset Management and zero Equity Research and Credit Rating roles were offered. So the best roles were offered limitedly while the batch size stood at 900. Most students ended up with unsatisfactory placements. Now you can decide whether or not to join if you are confident to face the placement scenario.

If your current package is less than 15 LPA, pursuing PGPX 1-year full-time program at IIM Ahmedabadis good. You should look at international colleges if your current package exceeds 15 LPA. You should always do your MBA and find a job outside of India. India is simply the world's back office. It is different if you want to be an IAS officer, but Indian corporate is slavery and junk. Working here for an extended period of time will undoubtedly turn you into a lunatic. One week of college life is enough to demonstrate the quality of American education. The tasks are out of this world. Americans are among the world's smartest and most innovative people. As a last resort, continue your education in India. Even if you have more than 5 years of work experience, IIM A/ISB will only hire you in one of India's back offices.

Financially speaking, FMS Delhi is a better option. The fees are extremely low compared to most other B Schools. The low fees do not compromise the quality of education here. But the accommodation and other expenses are high in Delhi. So the best option is to get a hostel in DU. But if you are okay with below-average rooms then rooms are available near FMS in the Malka Ganj area. They cost around INR 4000-7000. If you go for IIM Ahmedabad, the scholarships and student loans will help you a lot. They will cover your tuition and hostel fees and will have to just pay your personal expenses (10k-15k in PG). One won’t regret investing in IIM Ahmedabad in the long run. But the ultimate choice is yours.

The tuition fees for the MBA at IIMA is 11 lakh per year and 22 lakh for total course.The caution fees 5000 as a refundable if any students damage in the hostel and damage in the college so recovers from them, it is refundable after the completion of course.The hostel fees is almost 120000 for the two years and it is compulsory to avail the hostel facilities as the MBA programs have rules for every students .mess fess is optional and not mandatory and this depending upon the type of meal adopts by the students.there is a central government scholarship that is provided on the basis of the merit and they can avail discount on the tuition fees.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The tuition fee for the MBA program (colloquially known as PGDM) for IIMA (two-year program) stands at INR 22 lacs i.e. INR 11 lacs per year. There are a couple of other significant costs as part of the fee structure particularly INR 5,000 as a refundable deposit (in lieu of any damage to the hostel and/or college property). The hostel fee stands at INR 1 lac for the entirety of two years and it is compulsory to avail of the hostel facility as the MBA program at IIMA is a residency program. Apart from this, there is a mess fee which is optional and not mandatory; this fee depends on the type of cuisine and meal program that the student opts for. There is a central government-sponsored MCM scholarship that exists or the merit-cum-means that allows the student to avail discount on the tuition fee that depends on the IIMA merit list (achievable via an RTI application) for the first term and the GPA of the previous terms for all the next terms.

I paid year wise 12000/- and my Tution fee is 5000/-, Admission fee is 3000/-, Development fee is 1000, lab fee is 2000, other compulsory charges during the course completion as per the category (like Management, SC, ST) is 1000 for needed requirements in Hostel. And my batchmates are fees in cast wise is high and because india constituted a reservation of low categories. in EAMCET rank merit based category seats are available and Scholarships are available in this college and only total exam fee and lab fee are we paid to the college. We only pay 12000/- rupees for this college and so very good college for beauty nature and buildings and so much good hostel and very much like Indian food of Telangana.

The best course that I took during my MBA at IIM Ahmedabad, was not at my college.

It was the double degree that I pursued from ESCP Paris. There I had the pleasure of learning Marketing of Innovation under Professor Boris Durischin. The marketing concepts I learnt from him helped me land a well paying job. Sir made learning very pleasurable. He is one of the best teachers that I studied under.

The courses that I learnt at IIMA, and found useful, are-

Trading Strategies and Managing Financial Institutions- These two courses refreshed my concepts in Finance. MFI prepared me for BFSI and mid office IB roles. These courses are scoring as well.

Business & Intellectual Property and Legal Aspects of Business- These two courses under Prof. Anurag Agarwal, are a one time experience. Sir’s way of teaching is unmatched. He only teaches important and relevant topics. These two courses groomed me as a business professional.

These are the courses that I found useful as an MBA student at IIM Ahmedabad.

I don’t think you should worry about the high fees at all since the banks on campus take care of 100% of your fees. All you need to do is show them your admission letter, and they will provide you with decent loans. Many banks are easy to give you loans of up to 30+ lakhs some without collateral too in the case of A, B, or C.

Once you have made it to IIM Ahmedabad you can change the date of your family. With enough hard work, you can land a job that will help you repay the loans within 3-4 Years.

So what you need to do is just become determined to work hard and earn your fees!

Which is best -MBA in finance from ISB Hyderabad or top IIMS A/B/C??

ISB Hyderabad is known for its lack of specialization in Finance. It’s a common understanding now that even if one is preferring ISB Hyderabad for admission, they know that they should go for anything but Finance. Studying some aspects will give you a deeper insight as to why MBA in Finance from ISB Hyderabad is not recommended.

Faculty: Although the visiting faculty is quite decent, it’s the domestic faculty that has ruined the culture at ISB. They are arrogant, pathetic, and extremely incapable. They insult the students regularly and disturb student-teacher relations.

Placements: The roles offered in Finance were below average like Operations, Sales, and BD roles. Such roles were offered in abundance by the banks or start-ups. However, the superior roles like IB/PE/VC/M&A/FP&A/Equity Research/Credit Rating/Asset Management/TAS were offered scarcely. For instance

only 10 FP and A roles were allotted that too only to CAs
Only one Investment banking role was offered by Barclays
Only 5 PE/bc roles were offered and there was a strong preference for a prior IB/PE/VC experience and IIT undergraduate background.
One M and A role was offered only
4 Asset Management and zero Equity Research and Credit Rating roles were offered.

So the best roles were offered limitedly while the batch size stood at 900. Most students ended up with unsatisfactory placements. Now you can decide whether or not to join if you are confident to face the placement scenario.

How good is the IIM Ahmedabad PGPX 1-year full-time program?

If your current package is less than 15 LPA, pursuing PGPX 1-year full-time program at IIM Ahmedabad is good. You should look at international colleges if your current package exceeds 15 LPA. You should always do your MBA and find a job outside of India. India is simply the world's back office. It is different if you want to be an IAS officer, but Indian corporate is slavery and junk. Working here for an extended period of time will undoubtedly turn you into a lunatic.

One week of college life is enough to demonstrate the quality of American education. The tasks are out of this world. Americans are among the world's smartest and most innovative people. As a last resort, continue your education in India. Even if you have more than 5 years of work experience, IIM A/ISB will only hire you in one of India's back offices.

Financially speaking, FMS Delhi is a better option. The fees are extremely low compared to most other B Schools. The low fees do not compromise the quality of education here. But the accommodation and other expenses are high in Delhi. So the best option is to get a hostel in DU. But if you are okay with below-average rooms then rooms are available near FMS in the Malka Ganj area. They cost around INR 4000-7000.

If you go for IIM Ahmedabad, the scholarships and student loans will help you a lot. They will cover your tuition and hostel fees and will have to just pay your personal expenses (10k-15k in PG). One won’t regret investing in IIM Ahmedabad in the long run. But the ultimate choice is yours.

No, there is no information regarding IIM Ahmedabad to start the Integrated Management Program. However, there is news regarding IIM Lucknow to start IPM. There is a slight possibility that other IIMs will follow along and start their own type of IPM program soon. Although to implement this possibility, it will take at least 2 to 3 years to go from the ideation process to implementation.
