Very talented and multi tasking batchments are a key factor to study here and they can put forward to each other in the direction of goals.
All the faculties are excellent and not to be comparisons in any aspects .they uses a unique methodology to taught any difficult topics very easily .
The placement system are very essential for any students and here they can avail jobs in top companies.

Dislikes

Some time few topics needs more interaction and discussion so that is required.
The development in some areas are needed for better views.

Internships Opportunities:

Many companies from different areas visit the college for recruit the students for different jobs and post.Firstly they select the students for 2 month internship.The short term internship program is very helpful for companies to check the quality of students to perform the work well.They provide some task to the students such as new product launching in markets or presentation of any new products etc.After the completion of these task then members of placement team check the students which are includes in the short term internship program.Companies which are visited for internship are follows consulting companies such as Master Card,BCG. marketing companies such as Nestle,Wipro and many other companies are also visited the campus.

Great environment to learn among highly educated, dedicated, and experienced peers. The diversity at IIMA sets the institute apart in terms of the learning opportunities. Engaging with peers inside & outside the classroom is an experience in itself.
The placement cell at IIMA holds considerable clout with leading companies and this reputation helps students claim not only a guaranteed placement at leading companies but also of their choice. The breadth of industries is also quite commendable.
The faculty and the teaching experience is top class. With world renowned faculty and interactive teaching methods, students are forced to think differently leading to immensely healthy and fruitful discussions.

Dislikes

The campus while iconic needed some redevelopment especially for the old campus.

Internships Opportunities:

Internships are an important milestone for students at IIMA as many of them end up securing PPOs (pre-placement offers) from these companies. Similar to placements, several companies encompassing various industries and fields visit the campus to recruit students for a two-month internship. The idea is to catch probable candidates early on in the career and it acts as a great starting point for students as well. Once employed, students are onboarded on several projects (short-term) to help take the project to completion. Projects may include devising go-to-market strategy for a new product launch, consulting decks for client presentations, etc. The internship experience is judged by the recruiter on the basis of the tasks performed by the student. Internship gives in inside-out view of the professional world that is to follow post MBA. Some of the companies that visit IIMA for internships include marketing organizations such as HUL, P&G, RB, Nestle, Wipro, consulting firms such as BCG, Bain, Mastercard, Kearney, strategy groups such as RPG, Tata, Birla, operations and product companies such as Amazon, Sprinklr.

Final year 1st semester also eligible for campus placements in jobs, internships and researchs etc.. and companies are visited in this college is Apollo pharmacy, Aurobindo, Dr.Reddys, Hetero. The 60 percentage of the students are placement getting, but those are some students only joined in particular job positions.

IIM ahemdabad focuses on building core value instead of just making students book worms they organises tons of events in the campus.
if offers very good placement from its side but rest depends upon the srudents.

there is nothing to dislike about it. it is the best college for MBA

the placements are ofcource very good. they have across 40 plus companies in partnership with them. they offer a wide range of placements and the average placement is 12-1300000 but can go very much higher if the student is very good

Summer internships are offered in the college by companies like McKinsey and co. Bain and co. TCS and many more. Summer internships are for 3 months with an average stipend of 2 lakhs per month and the highest goes to 3.5 lakhs. Some pre-placement offers are also given to students and overall the exposure to the corporate world is world-class.

The placement process starts from the time we join the campus. It is a cluster cohort system, with an aim of right fit for every student.. For first-year students after completion of Term 1, a Summer internship takes place, and for second-year placement start after 5th term. Many companies visit campus offering various profiles in Finance, consulting, marketing, IT, product management, real estate, consumer goods, and pharmaceuticals. 190 recruiters offered 220 offers during the last season. It is true that a person’s caliber can in no way be judged from the Business School that they have graduated from. In practice, however, things work very differently.

The general assumption is that if a candidate has secured a top rank in one of the most challenging exams and studied one of the top curriculums in the country, then they are really good in their field.

IIM A, B, and C have been around for a very long time and its graduates have carved a niche for themselves in the corporate world. Most companies in India and many abroad have IIM A, B, and C graduates in top positions. The alumni spread the goodwill of these institutions in silicon valley and other parts of the world, leading to international repute. These institutions are ‘brands’. An IIM A, B, and C brand opens numerous opportunities for you.

Judging IIMs based on ROI solely is not wise. Most IIM graduates end up paying their loans in a period of 3 to 5 years. Also, keep in mind that salary does not remain constant, it keeps increasing each year. Even if you take a loan to fund your MBA, it will be worth it.

If you get the opportunity to study at IIM A, B, or C you should grab it at the earliest.

Why is IIM Bangalore not rated as highly as IIM Calcutta? Why doesn't it have any notable alumni like IIM Ahmedabad and Calcutta? Is it worth the money?

In terms of NIRF 2023 Management Rankings, IIM Bangalore ranked higher than IIM Calcutta. Even in the FT Global rankings 2023 for MBA, IIM Bangalore ranked 52, whereas IIM Calcutta ranked 76.

The alumni of IIM Bangalore are more into research and academia.IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta were open to private-sector jobs since their establishment. IIM Bangalore, on the other hand, was established to produce public sector managers. It was opened for private sector jobs in the late 1990s. IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta had a headstart there which is why they have a greater number of notable alumni in the private sector. Even then, IIM Bangalore does have a good number of alumni in the private sector.

IIM Bangalore is an institution of global recognition and repute. It will offer you all the opportunities and necessary guidance to become successful in your career.

In general, ISB is for people who have better industry experience, good leadership skills and decent academics. The other B Schools focus more on excellent academics throughout your career.

The ranking of these institutes in my opinion is ISB, IIM-A, B, C>IIM-L, FMS, XLRI,>SPJIMR

The above preference order is based on a number of factors like career progression, college market value perception, quality of faculty, quality of students, academic learning, quality of recruiters and infrastructure.

IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, and IIM Calcutta, all three are good choices for Finance and Consulting roles. If you get a single convert from among the three, you should grab the opportunity at the earliest.

If you have more than one convert, you should choose the institution that best suits you. You can decide based on location and other such factors. All three are at par for finance. Even IIM Lucknow is doing well and has a strong alumni base now.

Thus, you can go for any of the three IIMs for finance as all are top-ranked institutions.
